Picturesque & PerfectVery clean, fully furnished and a wonderful stay that is close to everything, but feels like you are part of nature next to the national forest. Saw sparrows, scrub jays, a dove crows, blackbirds, robin, redbreasts, mama bear & her baby, coyotes and even a cotton tail bunny!
My husband and I had another wonderful stay. We love the area and the people that live in the complex. Also, the maintenance man, Nate, is wonderful and has become a friend.
We look forward to coming again in 2026!!
Mark & Bonnie's condo was perfect for us!
Great location, extremely clean, all the amenities we needed. Right next to a wooded area where you can bike, hike, or just walk your dog. The unit itself was well stocked with all the cooking appliances /dishes you have, and use, at home. Very clean inside and out.
The condo manager, Nate, as well as everyone we met there, was very nice and helpful. My husband enjoyed helping him out with simple maintenance around the grounds.
Another neighbor gave us a jump when we found out our battery had died in our vehicle. Very friendly!
Would definitely recommend this rental and, hopefully, will be back sometime.
This condo is exactly as described. The location is outside the hubbub of the resort with easy access to the lake, walking and biking trails as well as restaurants and grocery. We downhill skied, snowshoed, cross country skied, strolled and explored new restaurants to our hearts delight. Don't miss out on the "Crazy Good Bakery" on this side of town!
We loved our visit to South Lake Tahoe. This condo was in a wonderful location and a great price. We would love to visit again and would recommend it to anyone/everyone.
The property was the most well appointed property, anticipating your every need. It was quiet, peaceful, although very close to grocery stores, shopping and entertainment venues. Beaches close, casino's about 5 miles away, the best restaurant in So. Lake Tahoe, Evans is a must. The owners are very organized, easy to communicate with. 5 stars.
Not only is the owner of this property accommodating and extremely easy to work with but the property itself is wonderful. Has every amenity you could possibly ask for. Near amazing beaches, great food and an easy 15-20 minute drive to the casinos. Looking forward to making this an annual trip!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 5 nights as this rental had above and beyond everything we could ever need. We didn’t cook there, but the kitchen was fully equipped with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, coffee pot and so much more. We have stayed at several VRBO rentals but thought the owners here really thought of everything to make your stay very enjoyable.
The location is close to several walking trails which was awesome for taking our small dog for long walks to Pope Beach (no dogs allowed) and Camp Richardson which really wasn’t fully open yet. But the paved path was perfect and we loved it. The unit is also close to everything but far enough away that it’s very quiet. We highly recommend Ernies for breakfast.
Thank you for having us Mark!
Perfect location! Right next to the National Forest, remote but yet easily access to all activities. Owners were kind, helpful and extremely accommodating. Already looking forward to staying again next year!
Mark and Bonnie condo is super well located, close to great hikes, bike path, beaches. The condo is well equipped, clean and offers a lot of comfort.
We had an amazing time!
This was the perfect location for our stay. A short bike ride to Pope Beach and great Mexican food just down the street.
The condo was perfect - full kitchen, W/D allowed us to keep our workout clothes clean and an overall nice space. Just too bad the pool was closed due to Covid-19.
This condo is highly recommendable, it is perfectly clean and nicely furnitured. The owner was very kind and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Thanks for letting us stay here!
We loved our stay! Great place for couples and if I had a dog she would have been in heaven! If you enjoy nature with amenities of city life at your fingertips, this is your spot!
The condo felt very homey and comfortable. Everything seemed new and the appliances worked well - although the TV was a little balky at first (Prudie got it straightened out, though!). I would definitely recommend this rental.
My husband, granddaughter, and I stayed at this perfect Tahoe getaway for 3 days (2 nights) in July 2019. We loved it and will definitely be back. This condo is EXCEPTIONALLY clean. The location was perfect for us (biking, hiking, beaches, kayaking). The condo complex was very quiet, and my granddaughter had the swimming pool to herself most of the time. All the neighbors we had interactions with were very kind. Mark was very quick to respond to any questions I had.

About the host
Hosted by Mark Wagoner
I was born and raised in Southern California. My family purchased property in this area in 1952 and built a summer home. Growing up, we spent every summer up at the Lake. My dad would drive us up when school ended and come and get us in early September. I worked at Globin's Inn (Al Tahoe) for several years during summer and worked with my grandfather at the Happy Homestead Cemetary where he was the maintenance supervisor. I learned to ski at Heavenly Valley and remember when there was only a rope tow at the end of Ski Run Blvd. My family sold their home in 2004 but I never lost my desire to have my own place and continue to enjoy this beautiful area.
Why they chose this property
I wanted it to be towards Emerald Bay as that is where I spent my summers and it has the most to offer relative to sightseeing and recreation at Tahoe. Tahoe is a spiritual place to me, and having my own place gives me a part of this wonderful setting.
What makes this property unique
This unit and its location is very unique. From the front door or the back porch you can walk into the woods or bike ride or walk to the beaches nearby. Restaurants are very close, again in walking distance, along with other stores and services. In winter, you are well situated to ski at a number of venues: Heavenly, Kirkwood, Squaw, and Homewood are all within reasonable distances from this location. You can snow shoe or cross country ski right outside the door.
I hope you will enjoy all these benefits and even more whether you stay at my location or somewhere else.
