This stunning 4 bedroom and 3 bath waterfront home has direct water views from the entire living area, and the top-level master suite offers its own private patio/ sun porch facing the sea. Enjoy watching pods of dolphins play right from your balcony or the private beach. Try fishing from the dock - it's one of the best fishing spots on the island. Explore miles of Gulf beaches with excellent shelling, discover every facet of this quaint tropical island, and wander the hiking/biking trails of North Captiva's Wildlife Sanctuary. Access to the Island Club resort amenities with poolside dining & pool bar, tennis, kayaks, bicycles, and club pools are al included. The golf cart was damaged in the hurricane but you can still rent one from Boats & Fun.

Excellent Vacation

We loved the location and layout of the house. The dock was great to have to enable our fishing and boat tours throughout the week.

The house was great and in a near perfect location. Golf cart situation not the best but understandable considering havoc caused by Ian. Fridge did not produce ice but there is ice conveniently located on the island. Fishing dock was a big hit and grandkids enjoyed playing in the sand. Internet is fickle, again likely a Ian thing. Depending on family schedules we may try to book again for 2025.

Sanderella

The home was as advertised, with plenty of amenities, games, utensils etc. Fishing gear was used from the dock, much appreciated. Service from Tortuga properties was responsive, very quick and helpful. We sent a list of minor repairs that should have been completed prior to our arrival. None were critical, and probably not previously reported. Biggest issue was availability of a golf cart; it’s under repair, and Danny at Tortuga was very helpful in arranging rentals. Access to the pool and cafe was a bonus. Only one additional restaurant was open, with limited reservation space. Hopefully others will open soon. Overall5 stars!

I am a busy mom of 5 growing kids. I love to read and travel. I come to North Captiva to relax, rejuvenate, and refresh. I'm always counting the days till I return to my beach house!

Why they chose this property

My husband is an avid fly fisherman and we found North Captiva over 25 years ago when he was scouting for the best tarpon fishing (shush, don't tell anyone). Since then we've come back to this island every year and introduced each one of our children and watch them grow up on the sands of the beach. We finally took the plunge in 2019 and bought the beach house and are slowly making it our own.

What makes this property unique

Because this is our personal home, and we truly care about it, we are excited to make changes and additions to it each time we visit. As you come back to this place time and time again, there will always be something new or different as we are passionate about making it more and more our own.
