Villino Clizia is a romantic and welcoming two-story villa with a view of the sea and of the Bay of Naples. It sleeps two people. From Villino Clizia you will enjoy a spectacular view over Sorrento, the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius and of the sea. Villino Clizia is 85 square meters (915 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a panoramic private terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline, a private patio, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 2.5 km (1.5 miles) from Sorrento, where you will find restaurants, shops, public transportation, the beach and the tourist port. You will find the stop for SITA bus Sorrento - Massa Lubrense - Nerano line at 80 meters (roughly 260 feet) and the closest beach (Marina Grande of Sorrento Beach) at 2.5 km (roughly 1.5 miles). You will reach Villino Clizia from the parking area going down a short route that cuts through the garden and includes approximately 40 stairway steps.
For a successful stay at Villino Clizia we recommend having a car. You will be able to park it free of charge inside the entrance gate, not suitable for large SUVs, motorhomes, caravans.

The garden and the swimming pool of Villino Clizia are very striking. They are located at the peak of a cliff from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the sea.


For this reason, Villino Clizia is not suitable for small children, as well as the owner's dogs are free to roam in the nearby grounds and may occasionally enter the premises.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 5 meters (16 feet) large by 9 meters (30 feet) long. The swimming pool has a sinuous shape. The swimming pool area is equipped with a small sofa and two armchairs, and it is partly shaded by characteristic trees. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the greenery. The pool is open from the beginning of May until the end of September.
Terrace
The terrace is 30 square meters (320 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by tall trees. It is equipped with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella and two sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a thrilling view over Sorrento, the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius and of the sea.
Garden
The garden is 500 square meters (5380 square feet). It is partly shaded by imposing trees. It is equipped with two sun loungers. Here you will also find a stonework barbecue. From the garden you will enjoy a fascinating view of the greenery and of the swimming pool.
Parking
The parking area is shared with the owners, and there will be an area reserved for your exclusive use. The parking space is suitable for one car. Entrance LevelKitchen
The kitchen is paved with terracotta tiles. The ceiling is high and vaulted. It is equipped with a five-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, an American-style refrigerator with ice-maker, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker and other small appliances. The dining table can accommodate four guests. From the kitchen two French doors will take you to the terrace and a small balcony with a marvelous view of the sea.
Bottom LevelPatio
The patio is 30 square meters (320 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by characteristic trees. It is equipped with a table and chairs. From the patio you will enjoy a spellbinding view of the greenery and, partially, of the sea.
Bedroom - a suite with en-suite bathroom
This suite is made up by three interconnected rooms: a sleeping area, a sitting area and a bathroom. The bedroom is paved with wood. The furnishings are warm and elegant. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). There is a small fireplace. The furnishings include a sofa. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the patio with a view of the sea and of the coastline through three French doors. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the patio. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.

This was our second visit to the villa and it is just perfect for us, we absolutely love it

This was our second visit to the villa and it is just perfect for us, we absolutely love it. The view is simply stunning and the outdoor area is beautiful, we would move in permanently if we could and will definitely return. Claudio who looked after us during our stay was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and he was so helpful and welcoming. We will most certainly be back, it’s one of our favourite places in the world and we travel a lot.

Villino Clizia was absolutely beautiful — easily the best terrace view in all of Sorrento

Villino Clizia was absolutely beautiful — easily the best terrace view in all of Sorrento! The villa itself was stylish and very well appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The caretaker met us on arrival and was so lovely, taking the time to explain everything about the villa and the local area, which made settling in really easy. The outdoor spaces were gorgeous — perfect for relaxing and soaking up the view — and the convenient parking was a real bonus in Sorrento. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Everything was perfect! We were recommended to Summer In Italy by a friend and I'm so glad we were. Their communication is excellent. Before we left we had plenty of confirmation emails and details about our booking, including a monthly newsletter. Whilst in Italy we were able to phone Summer In Italy when we couldn't get hold of one of our hosts and they responded immmediately and communicated on our behalf. I would highly recommend booking through Summer In Italy to anyone who wants access to some of the best villas and a stress free booking experience.

We very much enjoyed our recent stay

We very much enjoyed our recent stay! My husband and I spent the month of July in Italy for our honeymoon and finished it off with a one week stay in Sorrento and it was our favorite part of the whole trip. Easy access to town, but you still get some privacy and quiet. The views are incredible! We decided before we even left that we would be staying again. However, we decided we would definitely get a car next time. The trip down hill to town is very easy but coming back up (especially in the summer heat) can be a lot.

Absolutely idyllic

Absolutely idyllic. The villa is a tranquil resting space, with phenomenal views of Sorrento, Mount Vesuvius and the bay of Naples. The walk into town is down hill and coming back up, particularly with groceries can be challenging - but we saw it as a way of burning off the calories after eating beautiful food in the wonderful eateries in Sorrento. We would recommend this exceptional place to couples who enjoy walking and outstanding views under the beautiful Sorrento sunshine, and near to excellent food, wine and lovely people. We wanted to let the owner know what a wonderful place and experience we have had. Thank you so much for our stay and for enabling the extra couple of nights in the villa. The lovely card from you and the dogs, as well as the food and wine were very much appreciated! We came across Summer In Italy via Google and they were outstanding. In contact regularly near to our arrival and everything went perfectly to plan. When we wanted to extend our stay, they came back to us.

We enjoyed Villino Clizia but expected to enjoy it given the price we paid to rent it. The positive points: - the villa is located in a quiet private gated cul-de-sac and there is off-street parking; - the garden is beautiful; - the view from the outdoor terrace of Sorrento town and Mount Vesuvius is superb; - the air conditioning is excellent; - the bedroom / lounge area is modern and comfortable; - the villa is very well maintained by on-site caretakers; - the villa is close enough (30 mins) to walk to Sorrento albeit the hill climb is only for the fit; - the no.1 Sorrento restaurant is a 6 min walk; - the owner provides an excellent welcome pack of wine, beer, cheese, meats, fruit, milk, yoghurt, bottled water, coke and jams. The negative points: - the pool is too cold and is located on the other side of the villa; - the kitchen is very small and no microwave or washing machine; - the shower cubicle is very small.

This was our third visit to Villino Clizia. We keep coming back because the house location is fabulous. There are very few one bedroom villas with a pool. Absolutely ideal for a couple. We have used Summer In Italy several times and always find them friendly, helpful and efficient.

Traumhafte Oase über Sorrento

Romantischer alter Wachturm, liebevoll renoviert. Wunderschöner Ausblick über Sorrento und den Golf von Neapel. Sehr schöner und gepflegter Garten mit grossem Pool. Zu vermerken ist, dass es teilweise sehr laut sein kann durch Musik (nahe gelegenen Hotels, Bars, usw.) und durch Ambulanzen die das genau unten dran liegende Spital anfahren. Mit zeitweiligem Hundegebell muss ebenfalls gerechnet werden. Alles in allem eine Superlage für erholsame Ferien mit italienischem Flair.

The villa was amazing

The villa was amazing!! We would not change a thing. View was spectacular. You can't tell from the pictures. We did not realize it was two floors and loved how it was separated with the kitchen upstairs and bedroom, living room and bathroom downstairs. The pool was fabulous. It felt like our own hideaway up on the cliff. We would like to move there! Not one thing that needs to be changed. The added touches of wine and food was great. Claudio [the caretaker] was amazing answered all of our questions. Very easy to book and great communication, Summer In Italy always replied back with any answers that I had.

Sicher ist der Aufstieg am Abend zu Fuß aus Sorrent etwas anstrengend, aber dafür stimmt alles andere. Angefangen beim fantastischem Blick auf den Vesuv und die Bucht von Neapel, über die Ruhe und Privatsphäre die man genießt bis hin zum freundlichen Personal stimmt einfach alles. Dieses Quartier ist absolut zu empfehlen...

Villino Clizia was wonderful

Villino Clizia was wonderful - one of the best places we have ever stayed in anywhere. The grounds, outdoor space, and view of Sorrento are unsurpassed and the villa is comfortable and well equipped. The property is exceptionally well maintained. Summer In Italy was terrific and I would use its services again.

Villino Clizia has the best vantage point in the town for views of the area. Amazing pool and property. Kitchen is well equipped and accommodations were quiet, comfortable and clean. Used wood fired BBQ almost every evening for dinner to make use of the spectacular patio with the view. We were very impressed, corresponding with Summer In Italy was easy and informative.

We loved the privacy, the beautiful grounds and of course the stunning view. It was just as pretty as the photos! Loved it. We highly recommend it. We stayed the last week of April 2017. Perfect weather. Slightly chilly but really nice in the afternoon. We had attentive service and guidance on local things to try.

Villino Clizia is a great honeymoon villa, ideal for two people. Located high on a mountain top overlooking all of Sorrento, the bay and Naples coastline and Mount Vesuvius. The grounds are beautiful and the swimming pool is super clean. Massimiliano is your greeter, very helpful and speaks good English. He is always available to assist in your needs... You guys were great!!! This was our second booking with Summer In Italy.

We stayed at the Villino Clizia which was easily one of THE most amazing places I have ever stayed. The villa was simply perfect, and kept to the highest standard. The staff working at the villa were incredibly kind and thoughtful - nothing was too much for them. The welcome that they gave us, the local recommendations and the support throughout our stay was truly remarkable. We had an amazing and perfect time Villino Clizia. Thank you so much for helping to arrange our recent holiday to Sorrento and for making it possible for us to stay there. We are very grateful. The support given by the team at Summer In Italy is worth noting - the staff were all incredibly helpful and courteous.
