About this property
Cub River Hideout Cabin for Family Reunions and Mountain Vacations
The ‘Cub River Hideout’ cabin features 3,000 square feet of well-appointed living space, making it an ideal accommodation choice for a family reunion or group of close friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As soon as you arrive at this wonderfully secluded property, you’ll immediately feel at ease. The cabin is situated on 2-1/2 acres of private land, surrounded by towering pines, rolling hilltops, gently sloped valleys with the sound of the Cub River within earshot.
**WINTER NOTICE** The Cub River Hideout is a snowmobile in / out cabin during winter months. Unless you plan to snowmobile, snowshoe, or ski the last 1/2 mile from the canyon road, do NOT book your stay January -- March. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay up the canyon for your snowmobile trip, this is the perfect place for you!
Have a memorable Southern Idaho escape at the 'Cub River Hideout' by staying at this 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin in the heart of Cub River! The property sleeps 16+ people and boasts a spacious great room, full kitchen, home theater, a deck with stunning views and more. This dwelling is the ultimate alpine home away from home!
You’ll feel right at home inside its inviting interior, where you’ll find comfortable furnishings, rustic mountain decor and plenty of cozy wood accents. Everything you need to relax is here, including central heating and air conditioning, a gas fireplace, a theater room with 120" screen and in-unit laundry machines for added comfort and convenience.
After an action-packed day spent exploring Idaho’s great outdoors, return to 'The Hideout' to cook a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen, which is complete with all the culinary appliances you’ll need to bring your favorite recipes to fruition. When dinner’s ready, gather around the large wooden dining table, with seating for 8, to devour the tasty home cooked fare. Additional barstool seating can be found at the kitchen island, ensuring that there’s room for everyone in your travel party to enjoy meals together.
For dessert, bundle up and head outside to roast marshmallows around the firepit. When the fire begins to die and you start to get chilly, retreat to the downstairs family room for some nighttime entertainment. Curl up on the plush wraparound couch to watch your favorite movie on the magnificent 120-inch projector screen or get competitive with an exciting game of air hockey. When you’re finally ready to call it a night, retire to any of the cabin’s 5 inviting bedrooms to rest up for the next exciting vacation day!
Key Residence Features:
- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, in-home theater with 120-inch projector screen (with Blu-ray player and Amazon Fire TV sticks), air hockey table, outdoor fire pit, central heating and air conditioning, complimentary toiletries, gas fireplace, and much more
- Enjoy the best of outdoor living on the large private deck, where you can admire picturesque alpine views!
- Spectacular location on 2.5 private acres
- Easy access to abounding outdoor recreation activities!
**ROAD ACCESS** Please note that the Cub River Hideout is 1/2 mile from the paved canyon road. The dirt and gravel road to the cabin is narrow and requires a vehicle and driver comfortable with mountain roads. If you are concerned, send the host a message and we will send you detailed directions and photos of the roads so you are prepared. The HOA enforces a strict 10 Mph speed limit on all HOA roads (cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles). Go up to the mountain trails above the HOA roads for speedy fun.
**WINTER NOTICE** Please be aware, depending on the snow pack, the Cub River Hideout may only be accessible by snowmobile or snowshoe during the months of December - March. Even if the snowpack is light, 4-wheel drive and chains are required. The host has a forgiving cancelation policy during these months to accommodate trouble accessing the cabin.
**CELL SERVICE** Please note this is a remote cabin with NO cellular phone service close to the cabin. For cellular service, you need to go down the canyon about 4 miles. Of course, at the cabin Wi-Fi is available, so phones with Wi-Fi calling enabled, FaceTime, iMessage, Google Hangouts, etc. should work just fine. Turn on Wi-Fi calling on your smart phone and you should be able to make and receive calls without a problem.
Policies:
- NO smoking on the property at all
- NO pets allowed
- NO open invite parties or gatherings
- 10 mph speed limit on HOA roads
- No parking on HOA roads. Pull all vehicles onto large parking area next to cabin.
- No staying in RVs, trailers, or tents on the property, per the HOA rules. All guests must stay in the actual cabin.

About the host
Hosted by Tim & Brandi
Hi, we are Tim and Brandi. We live in Cache Valley Utah and love the outdoors. My wife and I are single-property hosts and would love to have you stay our our family cabin. We are always available to help if you need anything.
Why they chose this property
If you have questions, you won't have to deal with a big, slow property management corporation. The Cub River Hideout is owned and managed by a single-property host couple. My wife and I live 30 minutes from the cabin. With rare exceptions, we should be available to answer any questions or overcome issues very promptly. You can contact us via the Vrbo app, text message, or phone call.
