We loved this condo! Plenty of room for us and the kids. Having a 3rd bathroom is such a time saver when getting ready to go out! We will definitely consider staying here again! Thank you!

Thanks, Leanne! We love making things easy for families so you can spend more time creating those special memories with the kiddos! We hope to see you again soon!
Great property, nice amenities, beautiful view, nice kitchen, good bedrooms and bathrooms, great beach, nice pool. Great location for relaxing family vacation at the beach!
The condo is just lovely with lots of amenities. The beach is beautiful and just a few steps away. There was some construction and painting going on around the building while we were here, but it was manageable and the crew was very nice and accommodating. We would stay here again!
We enjoyed staying here and are likely to return. The only complaint would be loud construction work every day beginning around 8:30am.

Thank you so much, Bradley! We are so glad you and your family enjoyed the stay and are considering coming back. We sincerely apologize for the early morning construction noise and we completely understand how that can impact a vacation. We are happy to share that all construction is now fully complete so your next visit will be peaceful from morning to evening. We would love to welcome your family back to enjoy it!
Very good overall! Just a couple of minor maintenance issues. Loved the ice maker. Would rent same unit again!

Great Location
We love staying at Wind Drift because of the location. It is a short walk from the condo to the water. We also love that it doesn’t seem as busy as a lot of other condos. There’s no building next to it, so you have lots of room to spread out. My only complaint is that this room had some areas that needed to be deep cleaned and the rugs were pretty dirty. Loved the ice machine and my kids LOVED the bunk beds. Overall it’s a great unit.
Condo was very nice and clean. Arrived to what was advertised! No overwhelming items but some small frustrations with the online payment system for parking. Back bedroom closet to the entrance has a window that does not block the glaring light at night and the beautiful balcony overlooking the beach had no working light…

Wind Drift condo
Property mgr. was very helpful and kind.
The condo itself needed some cosmetic repairs and updates. The photos on VERBO made it look so new & lovely- which wasn’t quite the case. We had difficulty with the code for opening the gate into the parking lot on a couple occasions.

Check in
Got to the location and had no text about the door code. Did receive the gate code and had an offer for an extra night. It was very stressful because we had five grands with us. The cleaning ladies were there and offered to call the manager for me. I received a call and was told I had not signed the lease agreement. I did that before along with a copy of my drivers license. We sat in the lobby and I did this again.
We stayed at Wind Drift 301 in July. This was our first time visiting Orange Beach so we didn't know what to expect. Our group included my elderly parents and 3 older teen kids. We had a great time. The condo itself was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. We had no issues at all during our stay. Communication with the host was easy and responses were quick and checkin was simple. We never waited on an elevator and barely even shared with anyone. This end of the beach is pretty laid back especially since we were there on a holiday (4th of July). The parking lot does fill up quickly and parking across the street isn't ideal, but the crosswalk allows crossing almost immediately. The boat slips across the street were well maintained and we walked over there too take a look when we had to park on that side. Overall, I would recommend this condo and would stay there again.

Great location, not great communication or cleanliness
We were not given the checkin code ahead of time and I couldn't reach the property manager finally VRBO was able to reach them after multiple attempts. I also messaged 2 days before checkin asking for an early checkin and never even got a response. The inside is nice enough but the furniture and rugs are worn and dingy. The walls and ceiling in master bedroom/bath have dust hanging off them and mold growing on ceiling shower. For the price we paid I expected better. We still had a great time and the location/beach is wonderful. They just need to do a deep clean and consider replacing furnishings as they get dirty.

We want to first thank this guest for sharing their thoughts and opinions regarding their experience. This guest received their entry instructions 3 times; 2 emails were sent two days before their arrival and 1 email was sent the same day they arrived. According to our system, all the 3 emails were opened by the guest the same day they were sent. Inside the email is a door code, wifi info, parking instructions, etc. We are unable to offer early check-in during peak season, and this guest's reservation was for 2 nights starting July 7th. We always recommend when guests arrive that they alert our staff within 3 hours of any maintenance or housekeeping issues. We have no record of a call, text, or email from this guest regarding any issues. We will forward this guest's assessment of the homeowner's furnishings to the homeowner. For future renters: any questions about this unit or this review, feel free to reach out to us directly.
The condo was great! Very spacious! Having essentially 3 master bedrooms gives you so much privacy when traveling with other couples. The kitchen is large for a condo in my opinion and was well stocked for cooking. The best part is the built in ice maker in the cabinet! Game Changer! I almost never want to rent another condo without one. We had no issues with the elevator and they were never backed up and crowded. We really had no issues that we needed to contact any one about.
The only cons:
Parking. When we arrived late Friday night both parking lots were full. The parking lot to this condo and the overflow parking across the street. We were forced to either park in a handy cap parking spot or a fire lane. There are several parking spots that you cannot get into if you are driving a truck, Tahoe, Yukon, etc. This issue however is not a reflection of the property owner or the condo itself. We were not out late any of the other nights so it was easier to find parking but I know I saw several cars not in parking spaces and people crossing a pretty busy road at night because they had to park across the street, so just something to consider.
The room with the bunk beds does not cool as well as the other 2 rooms. I would recommend bringing a fan if you are a hot sleeper. The other 2 rooms however will freeze you out. Both of the occupants in the other 2 rooms were looking for extra covers at night.
Maintenance of elevator made us very uncomfortable arriving. We ended up ok. Lock on door went out but it was the batteries. If you could have fixed the weather it would have been a perfect trip!! Actually the weather was beautiful just chilly. This trip was my husband’s two living college roommates. We had a great time
Very much enjoyed this property & beach. The condo is close to the beach, so even sitting on the balcony on a rainy day was a delightful beachy activity as we sat watching the waves as the storm moved in. The condo layout was excellent, and as a corner property it had a nice view down the beach.
One cool thing about the beach layout was that in the evenings (7pm on), the beach was completely in the shadow from the neighboring condo. Nice way to enjoy the beach if you were completely done with sun but still wanted to catch a few more waves.
Loved that it had three bathrooms - most 3 bedroom condos are only 2 bath, so the third bathroom made a huge difference in post-beach and bedtime routines.
The door entry was encoded, so you didn't have to remember a key when you headed to the beach, just the code.
Surprisingly well-equipped kitchen. Most beach condo rentals are fairly slim on equipment, so this kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped. Still not the same things I might have at home, of course, but way more than I typically experience at a condo, which was a nice touch. We cooked all our meals, and it was nice to have a well-equipped kitchen.
One other surprise is that the kitchen counters seemed a few inches higher than normal. My tall husband absolutely loved them, and I was fine with the height (I'm 5'6"). If you're a shorter person however, you might find them too high. FWIW
Highly recommended stay.
Condo was lovely. Liked that every bedroom has its own bathroom, but these bathrooms are very small. Great access to beach. Balcony had a table for 6 that was great for dining outdoors. There was an issue with very loud construction going on 2 doors down from this unit. This went on for 2 days from 7am to 7 pm. Needless to say I was not happy about the noise but do understand that construction has to happen. Please reference if construction is still happy prior to renting this unit. If I would have had a baby or toddler that needed a nap this issue would have been a nightmare. I would rent this unit again in the future as long as there was no construction happening in the building.
