We had an amazing beach trip here. It is right across the street from the beach access, has a wonderful back yard (great for grilling and great ifnyou bring dogs), and is clean with all amenities we could ever want. Would definitely return!

We always look forward to coming to Folly and the Love Shack! We especially love the convenience of having the beach 3 minutes away, as well as being just a few blocks from Center Street for great food and shopping. Our golden retriever loves the fenced back yard almost as much as he loves the beach! The house is so charming and comfortable with everything we need for a great stay. We will definitely be back!

Great property in an excellent location! My daughter and I enjoyed our 4 nights in this house, which was well equipped with everything we needed (stocked kitchen with extra trash bags and paper towels, cleaning supplies, and bathroom amenities, etc.) Loved being able to walk right across the street to the beach, which made it feel like our private oasis. We visit Folly every summer and will definitely be staying here again!

Everything was as advertised. Great location, cute house. Wonderful setup for dogs. The only issues we had were the AC barely working in the one bedroom, the room got really hot at night with the door closed. We could also not get the fan in the living room to work

We had a wonderful stay! The location was fantastic, right across from the beach, and a few blocks from restaurants, making it easy to enjoy everything Folly Beach has to offer. One of our favorite parts was sitting in the porch and watching the ocean. The home was clean and well maintained. The host was responsive and it had a great fully fenced backyard.

We had a lovely stay! It’s literal steps from the beach. Our pup loved people watching from the porch and we loved seeing the ocean from the porch. The house is well stocked with everything you could need and is very clean. 110% would stay again!

We had a wonderful three days in Folly! This was our second trip. The house was just across from the public beach access and was just adorable! Very charming and great fenced yard for our three pups! They loved being able to see outside but be high enough on the deck that the people walking by weren't threats to the pack. So while they barked occasionally, they didn't lose their minds at all the people walking by. We will definitely stay here again! Great house for beach!

House is small but nicely decorated and well appointed. Everything is clean and in good condition, no pet smells, appliances worked fine, kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates, etc. Steps to the beach and a short walk to town. Wonderful front porch, extra parking in back. Host and property manager very responsive and accommodating.

After a long career, I chose Charleston as my retirement home. What's so interesting about that is...I traveled several years in search of my perfect spot and ended up only 100 miles from home.
Charleston is multi dimensional in what it offers. I enjoy the history, culture, art, music, and academia of downtown, but cherish most the beach, boating, and bohemian attitude of our barrier islands (Folly). So, for now, I lawyer a little with my downtown firm, and spend most of my time on the beach, water, or traveling. I now have two grandchildren in the area...so my traveling is taking a second seat.

Why they chose this property

I chose Folly Beach for its relaxed atmosphere and convenience to downtown Charleston. I'm able to enjoy the beach just as I did as a teen at Folly because it has retained its identity.
