This was our 3rd visit to the Gullhouse property and it was fantastic once again. Pristine beach that feels private. Clean and comfortable beach house with the most amazing views. The owners are good communicators and super accommodating. The Sea Glass is our Florida secret!
We enjoyed the quiet isolation and would recommend Beach Front House to close friends and family. It was very well stocked and supplied. In the end, we wished we had reserved a few more days.
One of the best locations you can get without owning. On the dunes, direct, private beach access, secluded, parking, and garage access/parking…. Truly a great location and setup!! Very much enjoyed our stay! We hope to be back soon.
Cool design, spacious and in an unbeatable location in between Melbourne Beach and Sebastian Inlet. Very, very private...we had the beach to ourselves.
The house is well equipped, well organized and more spacious than we expected. Would definitely rent it again.
This is a very quiet/remote area with a beautiful beach. The house is well provisioned and has the added bonus of a garage for storage. There are no restaurants, stores or shops within walking distance. If that is what you are looking for, this is the place!
Absolutely wonderful stay during the WORST year! 2020 is a trash heap whereas this place is gold. Everyday my family would do a short walk to the ocean, spend about 3 hours there, and just walk on back. The A/C is great, TVs up time date, and the view from the top floor at the ocean Is a 10. Would recommend this place to anyone in search of relaxing at the ocean . No need to go anywhere else.

Hello Marc,
Glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay! You guys were such wonderful guests, pleasant and took wonderful care of the home. I appreciate your conscientiousness and also for updating us on the progress of the trip. Take care and do continue to stay safe!

Mark and Mina were wonderful hosts. The house was well stocked with paper products, soap and detergent......and they even left us some fresh fruit, a bottle of wine and some chocolates! The house is directly on the beach and the view is amazing. Our family fell in love with this unique property and would love to come back. The beach was quiet and private and the boys had a wonderful time fishing. The girls had plenty of shells to collect. We highly recommend Mark and Mina’s beach property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gullhouse. It is a truly beautiful, private location. The hosts went above and beyond in supplying all of the basic provisions we needed for ten days. I could gush on and on about all of the amenities…and stunning views. Our group was aged 60-83 so the tri-level stairs were a bit challenging, but we knew that going in. Do not forget a good insect repellent, the noseeums are abundant little cannibals at times.
I would definitely stay here again. Fantastic place, a true home away from home. Thank you Mina for your kind hospitality.
The property is well maintained and beautifully decorated. The hosts provided many special details to make our stay more enjoyable, such as an ample supply of many staples, as well as some thoughtful extras. The beach is quiet and secluded. We walked the beach at many different times and rarely encountered more than a few people. The view of the beach from the living room is spectacular! We loved to drink our coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise. We've stayed in a number of rental properties, and this is the best experience by far. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so memorable!
Mina and Mark were very gracious and attentive hosts - always important part of a rental experience.
As for the property - I give it 5 out of 5 stars. It’s located directly on the beach, with spectacular views of the Atlantic. The beach house is spotless, bright and extremely well appointed with everything you could need. The beach is beautiful with sand as far as I can see both directions.
My wife and I were looking for quiet, relaxing vacation and this property gave us exactly that. My only hesitation in giving it such a good review is the competition I will face when I book this place again.
Enjoy.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at The Sea Glass house. We look forward to hosting you again in the future. It's been a pleasure! And thanks so much for those homemade cookies. :-)
Spent 3 weeks at this lovely, quiet and private home. The home has incredible views out the kitchen to the ocean. It was amazing to eat our meals and relax looking out at the ocean. The home is very well appointed. Really has everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Fresh fruit, waters and a bottle of wine all welcomed us on arrival. Only complaint about the kitchen was the water pressure was very weak. It was fine in bathrooms however. The home was very clean and comfortable. It could use a little updating but nothing terrible. Home is on 3 levels so mobility is a must to climb stairs. The beach was very private aside from a few walkers and fishermen off to the sides. The surf was pretty rough most days we were there and we noticed that if the air was still the bugs came out and were biting. It was a bit of a drive to get groceries and restaurants so a car is a must. I also worked remotely while there and WiFi was great. Loved our stay. Mina and Mark were great to deal with. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
This property is just as described...it's pretty great! A wonderful location on Melbourne Beach, quiet with direct access to a pristine beach. And the owner has literally thought of everything you will need during your stay...cooler, beach bag, flashlight and charging stations in multiple locations! Plus, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, some sweet treats, coffee and a nice supply of water. The building's top floor provides a view of both the sunrise and sunset...and we even saw dolphins in the surf while standing in the kitchen. It really is a wonderful place to get away.
We cooked most meals and the kitchen was well equipped and well labeled so things were easy to find. All the supplies you need like paper towels, baggies, Saran Wrap, tin foil etc. were also available.
The Publix is just 15 minutes away and downtown Melbourne is about 30 minutes, where there are lots of restaurant options. We mostly just hung out at the beach, which was not typically all that busy. It was easy to find a quiet spot to enjoy the waves.
A couple of things to know prior to booking...there is no grill on the property and you should plan to bring your own shade, there were no umbrellas on property. If you are lucky enough to get beautiful, sunny days like we did, you'll want to find some shade. The beach chairs provided are Adirondack style, which would not fit in our beach tent so depending on your shade option, you may want to bring or buy traditional beach chairs too. Those on property were not in good condition, nor were the boogie boards. A surf store is 10-15 minutes away, which will have anything you need.
We loved our stay and highly recommend it for a quiet getaway on a pristine beach. It's clear that the owner really wants you to enjoy your time at the property.
FABULOUS! Most impressive is the owner who is a great communicator and went to the moon and beyond to make the property inviting, comfortable and easy to feel right at home. We were welcomed with all sorts of treats to include a refrigerator full of fruit and drinks! Thanks! The Sea Glass beach house is gorgeous, unique, updated, super clean, stylish, well furnished, spacious, very well organized and I didn't see a single bug in 2 weeks. The location is very secluded with fantastic views both east and west through the huge glass walls. We loved the upstairs kitchen area that has 2 living rooms, huge cooking area and fun bench style kitchen table; it was the hangout! I really appreciated how you are tucked away from HWY A1A because the property sits pretty far back from the road and is also buffered by the parking garage keeping things serene and quiet. It might sound trivial, but the front door has a high tech passcode entry system that allows you to get in and out with ease without worrying about keeping a key on your person. Great for the beach when all you have on is your swimsuit. Speaking of the beach: WOW! Beautiful stretch of beach in both directions with very few people. I went for a long walk every sunrise and I was usually the only one out there. The house has a private deck and boardwalk with a wonderful outdoor enclosed shower full of beach gear. My only note: As fabulous as this place is, it is very secluded. We found ourselves driving quite a bit to find places to eat and getting food delivered was challenging. We were looking for seclusion, so it didn't bother us at all but some people like to be able to walk to the neighborhood cafe and that does not exist here. BTW we are Floridians and have rented many beach homes on the Space Coast and this place was one of the best we have ever vacayed at. We hope to come back soon!

On a passé un beau séjour agréable
Maison correspondant aux descriptions et la plage été belle avec une mer agité faite pour les amateurs de surf.
Epicerie la plus proche est à 15 minutes en auto.
This excellent property surpassed my expectations! The home was so well stocked with everything needed for an extended and relaxing beach stay. It was one of the most completely organized and filled home for all that could be needed. I would definitely recommend to anyone!
Great Location - Beautiful Views / Sleep to the Sound of the Ocean
This property was perfect for my family - 3BR/3BA, my wife and I slept in the bedroom with the ocean view. My 2 grown boys in their 20's along with their wives each had their own bedroom and bathroom. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Having the beach outside the backdoor was fantastic. The beach was essentially deserted except for some occasional fishermen. Everything you would need for the beach is provided - towels, chairs, boogie boards, balls, coolers. The outdoor shower was awesome to have since if you play in the water your shorts get filled with sand. If I ever stay at a beachhouse again an outdoor shower will be on my must have list. My wife did get a little tired of walking the stairs, but in order to have the views and just listening to the crash of the waves it was the perfect place for our vacation.
We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. We would return!!
If you love quiet walks on the beach and early morning sunrises this is the place for you - nothing better than having the ocean in your backyard! This rental is tucked back in a quiet section on A1A. The home is very comfortable. We truly enjoyed our one-month stay.
I spoke over the phone with both Mina and Mark. They were both very cordial and helpful. Entry access was very easy.
The home was VERY WELL stocked! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine; fruit; candies; bottled waters; and oh my favorite, chocolate covered chips! There was ample toilet paper, paper towels, tissue boxes, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener. There is both a Keurig and drip coffeemaker,
toaster oven, toaster, Ninja, and microwave, ample dishes and pans, storage containers, bulk size box of plastic wrap and aluminum wrap, as well as a good start supply of coffee, creamers and sugars. The kitchen cabinets are well marked so you don’t have to go hunting. Would have liked more than one dish towel.
Our bed was very comfortable. Extra sheets and towels provided.
I didn’t give the home a 5 star for cleanliness only because there were some large carpet stains in one of the bedrooms. I was able to remove most of the stains in preparation for guests.
It’s a perfect spot to have guests with three bedrooms and three baths. The multi level home provides privacy. All our guests loved their stay.
The one thing missing is a game table. The kitchen table is very large with two benched sides - not very conducive for card/game playing, especially for four people.
There is nothing in walking distance, but enjoyed many restaurants. Favorites in Melbourne include, Cafe Coconut Cove, Meg O’Malleys, Frigates Waterfront Bar and Grill, and Villa Palma Ristorante. In Sebastian, Saltwater Marina Restaurant and
The Ocean Grill in Vero Beach.
Downtown Vero Beach has nice little shops. Some also found in downtown Melbourne.
The outdoor shower is very convenient!! They have chairs for the beach, sand toys, water boards, etc. There is also a convenient water faucet for showering your feet.
Publix grocery store is within 13 minutes. There is a nice Par 3 golf course on A1A just 2 miles north. We golfed at three different courses all within 20 minutes.
Note: there is no outdoor grill. There is a hightop table on the deck, but no shade umbrella.
Beautiful property on the beach. Hosts are very accommodating and responsive. House provisions were very ample. House does need some comfortable deck and beach chairs. ( We ended up buying our own beach chairs for our stay) Also very important- use bug spray anytime you are outside on the patio or the beach as the bug bites can be very uncomfortable. Overall a beautiful stay.

Daniel,
Glad you enjoyed your stay! And yes, good tip on the bug spray!

This was a beautiful modern home right on the beach. We were greeted by fruit and wine and cookies. The house had the best equipped kitchen and supplies that we have ever had. It was very clean and the views were spectacular. Since it is on 5 floors there are a lot of stairs which was not a problem for our family. Our only negative was watching TV. It has cable but you must air play from your devices.
The neighborhood and beach were very quiet which is why it is a 20 or 30 minute drive to shopping and restaurants.
We would definitely go back. BTA
Words won’t do it justice. You have to see it to believe how beautiful this location truly is. STEPS to the beach! View of the ocean. Take a meeting out on the covered patio, watching pelicans swoop and fish jump! We cannot wait to go back. Clean, very quiet and private. Highly recommended!

About the host
Hosted by Mina Johnson
I live in a large, crowded, hyper-competitive city with a demanding job requiring me to regularly get away to maintain my sanity. But when I'm near the ocean, I feel so happy and free, and I remember all that's great in this world. And that's what keeps me going.
Why they chose this property
The peaceful energy of this home really spoke to me - the view of the aquamarine ocean surrounded by miles of unspoiled beach and protected state land, this place really is a gem. You feel like you have your own private beach. And the architecture of this house is quite unique, with expansive hand-carved crescent-moon-shaped cathedral ceilings. Plus I think that it's super cool that this slice of the beach is one of the few places in the world where hundreds of (protected) endangered sea turtles come to nest each year - imagine waking up to the sight of all those cute baby turtles (seasonal, of course).
What makes this property unique
This property is a private vacation rental that features very limited interactions with others and direct access to our virtually private beach. Enjoy gorgeous sunrises accompanied by the sight and the meditative sounds of breaking ocean waves. Relax and let yourself get lost in the sights and sounds of the ocean. Just about everywhere on the property, you can hear the soothing sounds of ocean waves. When you are not on the beach you can enjoy a breathtaking birds-eye view of the ocean from the top floor balcony. This property will offer you a memorable beachfront experience both on and off the beach.
