A wonderful place hosted by great people! Everything we needed was taken care of promptly and professionally. The proximity to downtown Greenville is unmatched when it comes to convenience. We felt very comfortable the entirety of the trip. Again, amazing place where you are taken care of by amazing people!
Very nice location. Easy access to shops, grocery stores and very short drive to downtown. Seemed safe. The house was clean.FRONT PORCH: Because the road in front of the house is a busy one, there was significant traffic noise except for very late at night or very early in the morning. Since there is no screening at all, the front porch would not be very usable in hot or cold weather.MAINTENANCE: A couple of the light fixtures had one working bulb, especially the one light in the bathroom. There was clearly a water issue in the kitchen under the sink and there was existing water damage on the quarter-round and molding beside the dishwasher. The extra roll of paper towels under the sink was wet under the plastic wrapping and mildewed. When we reported this to the owners, they said they would let their maintenance team know.COMMUNICATION: I arrived a little earlier than the 3 pm check-in time and sent the host a message asking if it was OK if I went ahead and unloaded my stuff. She was very nice and allowed me to check-in a bit earlier. There was a little confusion about the access code, as the one emailed to me AND included in the check-in instructions was not the same as the one the owner sent. Also, after we noticed the water damage on the molding and reported that, we heard nothing else from the owners at all.
Booked this property for a long weekend in Greenville for early fall. It's centrally located and easy access to all attractions. When we arrived, we found the access code supplied by VRBO was wrong. A call to the owner cleared that up promptly.
This is an older home, but nicely remodeled kitchen and bath. It is located on a rather busy street, so backing out of the driveway can be challenging during busy traffic. Kitchen was well equipped, but we didn't take advantage of cooking as there were many local restaurant options to explore.
The only problem was a required "damage deposit" which - at $1500 - is about 3 times the normal fee. Nothing within the home seemed exceedingly valuable to justify that much of a deposit. However, we paid the deposit expecting to receive it back soon. Our checkout was 10/9 and we took photos of how we left it: clean and undamaged. The refund did not arrive in my account until 10/25. That's 2 1/2 weeks of those funds being held for no apparent reason. Certainly 5 to 7 days is sufficient for the property managers to issue an "all clear" report.
We enjoyed our stay, the owners were easy to deal with (they did not seem aware of the high deposit when we brought it to their attention), but due to our funds being tied up for so long, we would not return. It's a shame, really.
I booked this property with my sisters for a girls weekend in Greenville. The property was ok. The day we arrived the grass was not cut and the outside of the property looked abandoned. Indoors the place was clean and nicely decorated and furnished. There is a screen in porch but there is not a screen to keep the bugs out.
Some of the major drawbacks was that 1 - there is not signage on the mailbox or anything visible from the street indicating the house number. We drove past the house several times because of this. 2 - there is no outdoor lighting which makes it nearly impossible to find the house in the dark and presents a safety risk. While there was a security system indoors, my sisters and I did not feel safe because of the lack of lighting and poor state of the home outdoors.
I will say the property was clean and the kitchen was nice. It is located a little over a mile from downtown Greenville. But I would not recommend nor would I stay here again.
I do not recommend this rental. The first time I tried to get in touch with Teresa to ask her how to get into the property when I arrived in Greenville it took her several days to respond. Her response was she did not have me on her calendar even though I had paid the full amount of the rental. She did end up finding it in her records. I needed to speak with her again regarding my trip plans. I called her and left a message regarding what I needed to speak to her about, she never returned my call. I emailed and called her for four days with no response. Finally I got a response - the response was she had blocked my calls. I was shocked and totally frustrated. What kind of person does that. I needed to cancel my stay for that weekend and hopefully reschedule it. I knew I would not get a refund but was hoping she would work with me to maybe change the date of the rental. I explained in my voice message that I was going to see my 90 year old mother who ended up getting Covid, so she knew the situation. I will not do business with Teresa again. I do not recommend her to anyone. All she had to do was call me back and tell me if we could either work it out or that she was sorry it could not be worked out. Blocking my call is totally unacceptable. I strongly do not recommend her.
Very cute house. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable. Loved the sheets. Water pressure very good. Air conditioner worked very well. Front porch nice to sit on for morning coffee. Location very close to downtown and to Bon Secors. Would stay here again.
This was the cutest VRBO we have stayed in! Comfy beds! Amazing kitchen! We would stay here again!
We came to Greenville for a baseball tourney. This house was a perfect location for us. The neighbors were so lovely! Close to everything! We would stay here again if ever in the area!
The property itself was very nice. We were just shocked that being a house it had no washer and dryer. That really caught us off guard and would have been a deal breaker if we had realized that, especially since we rented it for six months.
