Our hosts extended warmth and hospitality - when the hot tub broke down the day before we arrived, they gave us a couple options and wanted to make sure we were happy. Especially knowing it was our anniversary, they really tried to make our stay special. We had a great stay. The place is convenient to town but away from the busyness. Nice getaway!

Family of 7 stayed here for 7 nights. Plenty of space for all. We had a very nice time. House was very clean and description was right on. House is close to downtown, easy access for the train ride, ski resort, ice skating and the million dollar highway. Beautiful surroundings and very quiet. There was even great suprise for the kids on arrival. Great place to stay!

I loved this house for our stay in Durango! I wanted to stay longer. My kids enjoyed all the games at the house. I loved how it was just outside the city but still close enough and there are some trails to explore right behind the house. Such a great house for a family to relax and have fun in Durango!

This house was great! We all liked the foosball table, table tennis, and cornhole games at the home. The hot tub was perfect and had great views of the red rock cliffs behind the house. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the gas grill on the patio made for easy grilling.The fire pit was epic and we had fun making smores and staying warm while enjoying the views.The host was responsive and welcoming and there were no problems with the property at all.We're looking forward to returning next year.

This is by far the best property we have stayed at! Great Fall-getaway stay

This property, from the location to the extra amenities (games, foosball table, hot tub, coffee station to name a few) made our trip to SW CO perfect for our family of 3 (1 child). They even had a scavenger hunt for my son when we arrived that led him to a local treat! We've declared this our favorite VRBO in Durango. The property is beautiful, easily accessible to town and to 550, but tucked in the canyon. We had everything we needed here and more!

Great house in a great location

We stayed 2 days in Durango to experience the Durango/Silverton train. This house was wonderful; quiet; and has a fantastic view while sitting on the back deck. It was well appointed and really is a great place for families with kids. It was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable which can be hard to find in rentals! The short drive into town was super easy. I would highly recommend this place for your stay in Durango!!

Great location. Very peaceful area but close enough to town. House was very clean, kitchen and bathrooms are well supplied. Clean hot tub and plenty of things to keeep kids busy. Everything was as seen in owners photos. Durango has great places to eat and shop. Great hiking, beautiful views and great drives to places Silverton, Ouray and Telluride. I LOVE to travel, and discovering new places is one of my favorite ways to make memories with my family. One of the things I love about hosting is that I get to give guests all the things I look for when I travel. When you stay with me, you will get all of the passion I have for traveling funneled into your stay!

Why they chose this property

After vacationing in Durango many times over the years, we decided to make it our home in 2019. We were drawn by the proximity to so many outdoor adventures, like skiing, hiking, rafting, among so many others. When the opportunity came for us to host travelers to our beloved Durango, we jumped on it and haven't looked back.

What makes this property unique

Our home is located on a road known by locals as the "gold coast." There are gorgeous views in every direction, the house house feels like it's out in the country, but is close enough to town to make shopping and dining convenient. It's also very close to Purgatory Ski Resort, and we're happy to give you tips to get you from the car to the slopes in 15 minutes or less.

In addition to our prime location, we have a lot of amenities that other vacation rentals don't have, like foosball, ping pong, corn hole, a hot tub, amazing fire pit with provided wood, really cool bunk room, gourmet espresso bar, and a surprise for kids.
