Relax in the heated saltwater pool and spa surrounded by natural desert landscaping and the iconic Joshua Trees that make this property unique. Inside, the décor blends cowboy and bohemian style. Each king bed provides comfort for restful nights, and the queen bunk bed offers extra space for family or friends.

Pool Maintenance:
To keep the pool clean and safe, our specialist maintains it on Tuesdays and Fridays between 12 PM and 2 PM, taking about 20 minutes. Thank you for your cooperation.

I do not normally do a review, but this property is truly exceptional for a fun weekend with family and friends. There are plenty of pool floaties and if you bring your own there is an air compressor for your use. Young grandkids brought their bikes to ride at the park. Turns out they road them all over the backyard.

Great home, great experience

Stayed with 3 friends on an annual guys trip. Had a great overall experience. Loved the home and all of the amenities. It’s an older home but very well kept and we appreciated the details. Would definitely stay there again.

Great place to rest and recharge!

Wow! What a perfect getaway for our family!!We had the best time exploring and hiking Joshua Tree, eating at local restaurants and relaxing at the house! Home away from home

This was the first air bab we have rented and me and my family loved it . It was so cute and clean. Everything you need away from home. the hosts were so nice and very helpfull we will definitely be back and recommend it . The pool was the first main reason why we wanted to stay. It was so clean and relaxing. And just enjoyed everything Thank you so much.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at Hidden Gold. So sorry to leave. The pictures are accurate, but they can’t tell you what a great vibe it has. The patio/pool was our go-to area, and then back inside was easy, comfortable and welcoming. On a very nice, quiet street, but close enough to town and outdoor activities. Highly recommend. So Fun!

We had a great time at this house. We explored Yucca Valley, Pioneer Town, and Joshua Tree National Park. The house is in a nice neighborhood and is quiet and relaxing. Everything you need from the well equipped kitchen to the large private back yard with very nice pool and spa. We appreciate the tips we got from Skip re great places to eat and shops to check out. We will definitely return. Thanks!

Gem in the Desert

We had a fun and restful stay with 2 adults, 3 teens, and a 12 year old. All enjoyed the property, it's proximity to great hikes, the clean pool and pool toys, the access to everything we needed for preparing meals, and more. Beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. We also enjoyed some March Madness on the tv and everyone had a seat! Hosts Skip and Monica were helpful and communicative. We hope this was just our first stay.

Pure Heaven

We had a great time, relaxing in the back yard with pool and jacuzzi, watching the Dodgers and enjoying the surroundings. My dad had a cabin up the canyon by Pioneertown. We bought it in 1960 for $1. Sold it after the lander’s earthquake for $1000 in 1993.

Perfectly appointed vacation rental in excellent location

Our family of five spent four nights here and enjoyed it immensely. The kids loved the bunk beds, horse themed room and especially the pool/hot tub. I appreciated the well appointed kitchen, grill and fire pit. Plenty of towels for the pool and showering. There were lots of leftover spices, oil, coffee and cleaning supplies. These are usually things we have to buy when going to other VRBOs. It really felt like staying at a home and not just a rental property. There were also games, a cute bar set up area in the living room and lots of seating at the dining table. Great experience and highly recommend!

Short but Sweet Family Getaway

I’ve always been fascinated by the nighttime sky, but we don’t see very many stars while living in Las Vegas, so I planned a short getaway to the Joshua Tree National Park area to do some sky gazing. I chose this property to stay in for two nights, based on its amenities and the reviews given by other guests. I was not disappointed in my choice. The house is in relatively close proximity to the park. The swimming pool, jacuzzi, fire pit, barbecue grill, and backyard games were delightful, and we appreciated the fully-fenced yard for our dog. Inside, the accommodations were very comfortable, and the provisions were well thought-out and plentiful. My husband commented as we were watching an NFL football game that he had never sat on such comfortable furniture in a rental house before! The kitchen and bathrooms were also well-stocked. Thank you, Skip and Monica, for sharing this house with us. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful Yucca Valley Home

Hidden Gold Ranch was an excellent find for our trip to Joshua Tree. The house was super clean on check-in, and even the garage area was clean! The kitchen has tons of tools for cooking meals, and the majority of the appliances are brand new. We enjoyed hiking, exploring Joshua Tree in the morning, and coming back home to swim and relax. You truly feel at home here. The living room was super comfortable. The pool and spa were amazing! There are games both inside and outside that would make this a fun home for groups or families. We did not get to use the outdoor firepit, but it looked lovely outside. Skip and Monica also included hiking poles and binoculars to use while hiking. Their home is a very quick trip to Joshua Tree National Park, roughly 12 minutes. They are also located extremely close to restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies. I hope if we get the opportunity to visit the area again we are able to stay here again.

Our second time at Hidden Gold. So easy and comfortable to settle in. It is in such a great location in YV… close to everything, but up toward the foothills in a quiet neighborhood of large parcels. The owners have so thoughtfully arranged and stocked the house, you won’t lack for anything. The pool and backyard were the centerpiece for us. Fun and relaxing for all. And, well, there are Joshua Trees all around the property. Very cool.

Wonderful property and a great host!

We had a wonderful time. The home is very comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. The main living area is spacious with a large couch, two comfortable recliners and much more. The large screen in the living room was excellent.The AC works very well and did not have any difficulty keeping the place amazingly comfortable even with the outside temp above 110 degrees. We only used one of the three bedrooms, but all of them are well furnished, comfortable and with a separate TV in each. Unfortunately (for us) this was a quick trip, and we did not have time to enjoy the wonderful pool (w/Spa) or the back yard, but we are certainly looking forward to enjoying them on our next trip to JTNP.The host is excellent. Very communicative with super rapid responses to all questions. The supplemental information on the area that was excellent. Most appreciated were the concise and simple check-out instructions, which included the (short) list of things to double check before leaving. We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent all around

This property is beautiful, spacious, clean, with comfortable beds you will have good night sleeps in. The pool and hot tub is the highlight of the property for its size, cleanliness, and the beautiful surrounding. Another highlight of this property is how the owner has thought of everything you could possibly need! Thank you so much Skip and Monica! I recommend closing the front wing of the round table in the kitchen as it is tilted and things slide off.

You won't have to worry about navigating any dirt roads to get to our property, and you'll have easy access to abundant shopping options like Walmart, Stater Brothers, Dollar Store, Grocery Outlet, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Vons. Plus, there are plenty of dining options nearby, so you'll never have to go far to find a great meal. What makes this property unique

Getting around Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree is a breeze, with Highway 62 running through the entire city. Along the way, you'll find Morongo Valley gas stations, Cactus Mart, and a variety of unique vintage stores with cafes sprinkled in. Be sure to stop by the Frontier Cafe on Pioneer Road and Hwy 62 before checking out the art display at the ACME gift shop out back, and don't miss the inviting Hoof and Post and other nearby shops.

There are also several grocery stores along Hwy 62, including Stater Brothers, Vons, and Grocery Outlet, as well as a row of fast food options that includes Arby’s, McDonald's, Del Taco, Sonics, and Starbucks. Towards Yucca Valley's end, you'll find the Super Walmart and Home Depot, along with more chain eateries like Steak and Shake, Panda Express, and Taco Bell.

Joshua Tree City is home to stunning scenic views and unique stores, including the must-visit Rock Shop and Joshua Tree Coffee. If you're up for an adventure, head down Park Ave. to discover Coyote Corner, JT Saloon (which can have a long wait but is worth it), JT Visitor Center, and the Crochet Museum.

Park Ave. is also the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, where you can explore the breathtaking landscapes and take on a variety of hikes. Note that there is a fee of around $30.00 to enter the park, but it's well worth it. Our favorite hike is Parker Dam, and we highly recommend checking out the photo-worthy Skull Rock while you're there.
