Welcome to Casa Pacifique — an ocean view villa in the town of Potrero, Guanacaste. Perfect for families and couples, with stunning sunsets, modern comforts, and walkable access to three beautiful beaches.

LOCATION
Potrero is a quiet coastal town that blends the warmth of local Tico culture with a welcoming expat community. Once a small fishing village, it retains the charm of old Costa Rica, offering a tranquil setting far from crowded tourist areas. The newly built $50M Flamingo Marina is nearby, and guests are within a short drive of other scenic beaches like Danta, Dantita, Flamingo, and Conchal. Tamarindo is about 50 minutes away, and Liberia International Airport is just over an hour by car.

THE VILLA
Casa Pacifique spans four levels and accommodates up to eight guests. On the main level, you’ll find an open-concept living room, dining area, and kitchen. The dining space features a custom Guanacaste wood table that seats eight with ocean views. Guests can enjoy breakfast and housekeeping services (please inquire), or hire a private chef.

Casa Pacifique is our family’s second home. When we are in Costa Rica, we may stay in the private apartment at the bottom of the property. Guests have full privacy, and we do not use the pool or any guest spaces during your stay.

Fantastic Host

Spectacular at every turn!

Our family spent a week at this glorious house and we loved every minute of it. From the huge support that the owner provides getting logistics and adventures set up, to the house itself - which is beautiful and could not be located more perfectly - to the stunning beaches right down the hill. All of it was a treat! And we can’t say enough about the house mom and her wonderful breakfasts. We miss it all and we will be back!!

First and formost we would like to thank Marilia owner of the house. She help us with our plans, rent a car, making sure our trip is align. She did all our arrangements and got us grocery. Wonderful Experience!

Four couples stayed here 1/25-2/6/25, and we couldn’t have asked for more! Our host Marilia was available from the time we booked till when we checked out to help with any and everything. She set up tours, chef services (highly recommend!) golf cart rentals, transportation - you name it she covers it! The property is beautiful, and the views are spectacular. And there is no shortage of great restaurants all within a golf cart ride away.And I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shout out to our house mom Maricela - what a gem! Her breakfasts each morning were delicious and a great way to start the day. I miss her already ;)We had a great experience here, and Marilia made everything so seamless - all we had to do was relax and enjoy. I highly recommend a stay at Casa Pacifique, you won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful, memorable vacation!

The homeowner Marilia was in touch with us after booking to suggest and arrange activities and other items. She rented us a golf cart, booked deep sea fishing, catamaran excursion, and massages all prior to arrival. She recommended the golf course where my sons should play, and where we should go for horseback riding. This was extremely helpful, and in hindsight vital, to the success of our vacation. Upon arrival, we were thrilled with how beautiful and immaculately clean the house was. The view is beautiful, and the pool was awesome! Marilia was in contact to make sure we were situated and not needing anything. The house mom cooked us delicious breakfast on her working days, and then stayed to clean the house. She spoke very little English but was easy to communicate with and was a lovely person. The golf cart was so much fun to drive around the town in. We rented a car at the airport and used both vehicles during our stay. Our favorite restaurant was La Forketta. Nita was a great coffee shop/breakfast place for when the house mom was off. It was our first time in Costa Rica and it was a very culturally immersive experience. We met lots of lovely local people, as well as American expatriates. We will definitely return one day!

Fantastic stay, you will not be disappointed

We were four couples, ranging in age from 25 to 62. The house is so beautiful and in a perfect location, beaches close by, restaurants, grocery stores. The host is excellent, very responsive and wants to ensure her guests have a good time. We appreciated her suggestions for trips and enjoyed a visit to hot springs and mud baths, and a glorious sunset trip on a catamaran. Really loved every minute of our stay.

Beautiful Villa for a Family Getaway

You will be thoroughly satisfied with this property. The nearby beaches are pristine, uncrowded, and just a 7-minute walk away (unlike Flamingo or the beach right in Potrero). There is an ice cream parlor within walking distance that attracts visitors from afar. The villa is comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the pool is large (the photos are not exaggerated). The owners are very considerate of guests' needs, providing boxes, grocery bags, coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, and beach umbrellas. The highlight was the impeccable service provided by the owner, Marilia.

Piece of paradise!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was just as described, very well equipped, perfectly located and felt like home from the moment we stepped inside. Moore Family Fun

Costa Rica has been on our bucket list for quite some time. We chose Casa Pacifique and couldn’t have been more pleased. The Villa is gorgeous, and allowed a lot of space for six adults and two children. Marilia (owner of the property) made reservations for our activities and was gracious in every way. The house mom, Maricela, made us delicious breakfasts and afternoon snacks. Carpe Diem right down the hill was a favorite coffee stop, too! The wind kept us from fishing and a catamaran cruise, but two different ATV excursions, Catalina Beach, Waterfall chasing and Diamenté were all memory making. Our next trip to CR will bring us back to the villa.

Pura Vida

We had a wonderful holiday at Casa Pacifique! The house was amazing, clean, and comfortable. The views were beautiful and the pool was relaxing and fun. Everyone loved the comfort of the space - the swinging chairs in the dining area were one of the highlights. We walked down to Playa Penca most mornings for a swim and walked the beach. It is a stunning and very quiet beach. I often worked out early AM on 3rd floor deck which was amazing. Our favorite restaurants were Coco Loco and Sentito Norte. Favorite experiences were horseback riding on the beach, surf lessons and ATV's. Loved the coconut water too!! Overall an amazing holiday with so many options.

Amazing vacation!

Loved the Casa Pacifique. Plenty of space for our family to retreat after tours, all coordinated by Marilia. Marilia had a 6-passenger golf cart waiting for us when we arrived, scheduled our sunset catamaran cruise, plus ATV beach tour. We also drove to Diamante Eco Adventure Park for ziplining and saw the sloths and monkeys. Highly recommend all the tours. The golf cart was perfect for driving to dinner in the evening, the breeze from the open cart was welcome after the 95+ degree hot weather during the day. Loved the hot weather. Maricela made our breakfasts in the morning - they were wonderful! Our kids would sit and try to talk Spanish with her while she cooked. Afternoon snacks were devoured quickly, empanadas and quacamole were great. The house was the nicest we have ever stayed at. Gorgeous kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, plus the pool and outdoor seating areas were over the top! Highly recommend this for your next vacation!

Lovely Thanksgiving get away

I cannot recommend this property enough and owners enough!!! The house is lovely with many areas to enjoy, the attention to detail is amazing and the thoughtfulness of providing any necessity you could possible imagine was perfect. We loved the sweet house mom and her yummy breakfasts and snacks. It was such a great way to start the day. We really appreciated Marilia suggestions for our excursions and her concierge efforts to personalize our trips were amazing. Of note, was our 'experience leader' Hiener (aka, Goose). What a wonderful person to share our day with. If you are at all hesitant about renting this house, do it immediately!! It was an experience we will remember for a long time:)

Perfection in Portero

We spent an amazing 7 nights in Casa Pacifique. The property is well located in a small village with plenty of sodas (small open air diners with amazing food) and an awesome beach bar within walking distance. Playa Penca is also a short walk and so beautiful. At times we were the only people on the beautiful white sand beach. There are areas that you can swim out to snorkel. I can’t say enough great things about the owners, Marilia and Graciano. They attended to every question we had and made great suggestions for dining and excursions. We took advantage of the house mom service where the amazing Maricela made Costa Rican breakfasts for us. She was also there to keep the property meticulously clean. Pura vida!

Best Host, beautiful place, overall perfection

Marilia goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have an amazing experience in Costa Rica. Everything was absolutely perfect. The place, the food, the scenery…. We followed Marilias suggestions for places to explore, did the catamaran cruise, ATV beach hopping, omg the Castle is a MUST especially for special occasions. We were 8 adults celebrating my husbands 50th bday. There was more than enough room in the Villa so everyone had their own space and privacy. Marisela cooked breakfast and cleaned..it was amazing. I honestly do not have one negative thing to say. The entire 7 day trip was wonderful and went by so so fast. We were all sad to leave. Thank you Marilia for letting us enjoy your beautiful place and making the entire trip a memorable experience. Pure Vida!

Look no further - you won't find better than Casa Pacifique

Believe all the amazing reviews - this place is the real deal. Excellent location in walking distance to several nice beaches, delicious restaurants, and a cute town with a grocery store. Many many more dining, shopping, and beach options are only a 10 minute golf cart ride away (we recommend renting the cart, makes getting around so easy). The house itself is just as beautiful as the pictures. Everything inside is up to date, clean, and works perfect. The kitchen is very modern with almost brand new appliances throughout. The house provides everything you would need including, as a big perk, a housekeeper who cleans up and prepares tasty breakfast and snacks. The hosts are top notch and acted as much as travel agents as hosts, going above and beyond to help us book tours and answer any questions we had (which were a lot). We really can't say enough about this place and the excellent communication with the hosts. We will be back to Costa Rica and we will be staying here again!

Paradise in Costa Rica

Every stage of the Vrbo process was fabulous!! The owners communicate everything. Any and all questions are answered! We had a wonderful time in their home. Everything you need is there! The house mom was great. Her empanadas are out of this world and her pancakes are so fluffy! Make sure you try her for at least one meal! We ran into a slight snag on a jet ski rental and when I mentioned it to the owners, she got right on it!! She was able to get us a refund!!! Which she did NOT need to do at ALL!!! Very professional and very informative! IF, we visited the same place twice, we would definitely be back!!!! Thanks again for graciously letting us make sweet memories in your lovely home!!

Family Vacation in Costa Rica - Marilia is a great host!

We were a group of 8, ranging in age from 17 to 83. We were all very comfortable in the house. The only complaint was that the mattresses on the king beds were extra firm. The ones on the queen beds were less so. The bedding was soft. There were some extra soft blankets, which was nice. A few people had to use two pillows to make them full enough. The towels were nice. The washer and dryer were excellent. We did laundry everyday. The house is very well stocked. You will not have to worry about dishwashing soap, laundry detergent or even shower gel. It is all there. The house mom comes in daily so the kitchen and other main areas stay very tidy. Her breakfast each day is wonderful treat and really decreases daily expenditures. The pool is a wonderful plus - easy to just get in and cool off or spend a day reading and lounging. The cushioned lounge chairs are very comfortable. I would have enjoyed the waterfall being on more. It comes on for 2 hours a day in the late afternoon. You cannot see the ocean from the pool level, but that does not decrease the enjoyment of that area because the foliage and plants around the house are lovely. Be careful going up the stairs from the pool. There is an extra step at the top that is kind of a half step - easy to forget about and just enough to cause a trip and a fall. The top floor is amazing for sunsets. It seemed that my group avoided going up to the extra floor but when I insisted, everyone was amazed.

A Rare Find!!!

Where to start?? The owners were absolute the most gracious hosts we've ever experienced with a vacation rental. Not only did they help us book absolutely every part of the trip (transportation, private chef, catamaran excursion, surfing lessons), but even offered to help us decorate the house as a surprise for my twin sisters' birthday celebration while we were out for the day. The hosts happened to be there when we were on our trip, but we hardly saw them at all unless we needed their help. I mention this because I know some people are hesitant to book if the owners are on site. They had a separate apartment WAY down the hill to the main house so it still felt 100% private. The area, Potrero, was totally laid back, completely safe, and very friendly. We were able to walk or take a golf cart everywhere - to coffee in the morning, to buy fresh fish, to enjoy local brick-oven pizza, or enjoy one of several beautiful beaches. There were seven total in our party and each family had thier own room and bathroom. The house is extremely well appointed and the House Mom is a kind and caring woman that clearly loves to make people happy with her delicious breakfasts & snacks. We cannot recommend Casa Pacifique enough - when you go....PURA VIDA!!! Marilia - Hasta Luego!

Amazing 7 weeks!

We were so lucky to have had the opportunity to spend 7 weeks at Casa Pacifique. We were looking for a place to get away since all 4 or our children switched to online learning. What an unbelievable experience! The house is beautiful and had everything we needed including wifi for 4 online learners. We loved the area and felt like part of the community! We became regulars at the local coffee shop, Carpe Diem and enjoyed quite a few dinners at La Forketta and Coco Loco! We loved walking to Playa Prieta and swimming in the waves. If we were looking for a calmer swim we just headed to Playa Penca. The rooftop was amazing to watch the sunsets and we spent many hours swimming in the pool. If you are looking for surf lessons ask for Steffie at Matos Surf Shop in Tamarindo. She taught all 6 of us to surf! We had many visits from the Howler monkeys even on Thanksgiving. Another day we counted over 20 monkeys (with 3 adorable babies) in the lot next door. Our experience was made that much better by Marilia. She was amazingly responsive and available any time we had a question or needed any information about the house, area or really just about anything. This was the perfect house for our time in Costa Rica. We felt so lucky to wake up every morning to that beautiful view and to watch those sunsets every night. We miss Casa Pacifique and wish we could have stayed there forever!

Tropical Paradise

Our group of seven women recently celebrated our 20th year of traveling together with a wonderful week at Casa Pacifique. What a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable week it was! First, one of the the most positive aspects of our stay at Casa Pacifique was the incredible support from Marilia, our host. From our first contact until after we left she was always accessible and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. She answered questions and arranged tours, transportation and golf cart rentals. She also checked in frequently during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and Marilia truly sets the standard for excellence. I feel like we are friends even though we didn’t get to meet. The house is exactly as described in the listing. The views are breathtaking and the house is spotless and fully equipped with anything you could need, including starter supplies of coffee, milk, sugar, and paper products. The house mom made us a nice breakfast and afternoon snack for 4 of the days and cleaned every day except for her two days off. She was lovely and helpful, although our limited Spanish kept our communications pretty basic. The beach is nearby and there are convenient grocery stores and several nice restaurants. We did not have a car but rented golf carts to get around town, which worked out perfectly. All in all, Casa Pacifique was the perfect place to celebrate 20 years of friendship. Pura vida!

Perfection

This property is a must see, but more importantly, the entire experience was a pleasure! My husband and I have stayed at rental properties all over Europe and Central America. This was by far the easiest and most picturesque rental experience we have had. From the very beginning, the owners, Marilia and Graciano, responded quickly to e-mails and provided lots of helpful advice. From questions regarding renting a car to whether we should bring a stroller, a quick, helpful response was always provided. We stayed with three other couple and there was more than enough room to spread out between the rooftop terrace, outdoor living room, pool and lounge area and bedrooms. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with little things like olive oil, sharp knives, and tinfoil so that we could cook meals without needing to improvise. The owners were easily accessible during our stay and quickly (arrived within minutes!) responded to minor questions or incidents that come up during our stay. We rented two cars due to the size of our party but a car is not necessary as you can walk to restaurants, beaches, and a grocery store. The owners even told us about a farmers market where we stocked up with all of our fruit and vegetable needs the first day we arrived. The house membership to the Costa Rica Sailing Club was a nice perk and we enjoyed a lunch and a dinner right on the beach while our son splashed in the pool. Rent this house! You will love every minute of your vacation!

My husband Graciano and I are from Toronto, Canada, both born in Portugal. We fell in love with Costa Rica on our first visit in December 2015. We knew we wanted to invest in this wonderful Country and spend more time there so we completed that dream in 2018 and purchased Casa Pacifique. We fell in love with the home and area instantly. Perfectly located above Playa Penca (a short walk from the house) a local favorite and a hidden gem. Potrero is a wonderful safe town with plenty of dining choices and grocery stores. The area gives you a great feel for what it's really like to live in Costa Rica with a wonderful mix of locals and expats. The community is friendly and welcoming. We started an extensive renovation in August 2018 and spent many months living on the property to oversee the completion. Every room was modified or completely changed. What was a 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom house with a two bedroom 1 bathroom maids house was converted to a 4 bedroom, 4 full bathrooms, 2 half bathroom villa with a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. We enjoy sharing our home in paradise with people and helping create memories that they will never forget.

All of the different living spaces allow for guests to enjoy their own quite time or spend time together.
