About this property

This adorable home just a 15 minute walk from historic downtown Granbury will keep you coming back to this beautiful and delightful town. This is a perfect location for a weeklong vacation or a quick getaway with family and friends. There are festivals galore in Granbury and neighboring small Texas towns

If you want to head out for a summer or fall stroll this is a quiet and safe neighborhood. A favorite Granbury attraction is the trolley! Check their schedule and you can hop on right in front of the house!

The Granbury Trolley runs Fridays (4pm-10pm), Saturdays (10am-10pm), and Sundays (11am-5pm) on an hour long route starting at the Visitors Center. The complimentary shuttle stops at hotels, bed and breakfasts, and a few other locations as it loops on the 377-Corridor and through the Historic Downtown Square. It is the perfect transportation mode to experience the historic setting of Granbury! Text "trolley" to 77222 and receive information and updates about the trolley schedule!

There are many shops and restaurants a stone's throw from our home like Christinas's Bistro, The Square Cafe, and The Panhandle for a variety of fresh coffee beans & kitchenware. Catch a show at The Granbury Opera House year around. 1890 Grille and Lounge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy good company over a great meal. The Marketplace offers an excellent array of spices, premium olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and other gourmet goodies. I love their Olive Oil!

There is a fully stocked kitchen with several spices, coffee maker, coffee, and filters. Dishes and pot & pans are available for cooking. Our fridge does not have an ice maker so please bring a bag of ice.

Watch plenty of TV on the 55" Roku in the large family room. There is a large checker board and plenty of games for kids plus a large back yard for playing.

Built in 1947 our home is family friendly and cozy with original wood floors, cast iron tub, and a huge oak tree in the front yard perfect for a summer evening seated on the front porch in red rocking chairs. In the large bedroom you have a Queen size bed with a sitting area and a Queen bed in the second bedroom. Plenty of room for a family of five but someone will have to sleep on a couch. No extra charge! We have one bathroom though.

Family-friendly Brazos Drive-in at 1800 W. Pearl is a great summer time activity for the whole family. Closed November 30-March 5. Granbury Lake is close for boating, kayaking and swimming. There is a beach close to the house. If you're here with your kiddos then Dinosaur Valley is a "must see" for the whole family in nearby Glenrose. Search for dinosaur footprints at this state park located along the Paluxy River.

There's something for everyone in Granbury. Shopping for the ladies, fishing or golfing for the men and Granbury Lake for the kiddos! Granbury is a great small town with a BIG HEART! Come join us!

Great place to stay

Close to downtown, worked well for our family of four. Well priced. Host was great to work with. And theres a donut shop you can walk to!

Just what we needed

The home was perfect for myself and my 2 friends. It was walking distance to the square, which worked out great for us because there was a festival going on and we didn’t have to worry about parking. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a low maintenance stay.

Pictures do not do it justice. Larger than expected. Jackie was amazing and quick to respond. We were in Granbury for the Spartan races amd only wish we had more time to enjoy this home away from home

Must stay!

This is a absolutely fantastic home! The location is great. Less then a minute drive to the square. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house has so much space in the common areas. The host provides a good selection of family friendly games. The kitchen provides a great little coffee bar, along with cooking tools. The beds in the rooms are so comfortable. My family will definitely be staying here again. The host is quick to respond. Oh and the back yard along with the front porch rocking chairs! I can’t say enough great things about this home!

Dan and I love to travel with our family having traveled to China, Japan, Costa Rica, and Europe just to name a few. We love Granbury for the history and friendliness of local neighbors. We purchased this home in 2017 from the original owner and we couldn't wait to share it with other travelers.

Why they chose this property

Our home is uniquely centered around the historic town square with shops, restaurants and live theaters. You can take a short 12 minute walk into town and enjoy the quiet neighborhood. Granbury Lake is close for boating or kayaking. Rentals nearby.

What makes this property unique

Our home was designed to be a home away from home with a cozy feel. I chose to decorate with the "hominess" of home like cozy couches, pillows, and throw blankets for snuggling. Play checkers with your children or take a slow walk to the Granbury Square.

Built in 1947 the home had one previous owner. All the wood floors are original and so is the cast iron tub. The queen bed and both twin beds are pillow top. You might notice some unevenness in the floor in the back family room. That is due to settling and the age of the home.

The area is family friendly and very quiet. You'll find friendly neighbors and a serene locale to relax, enjoy family and friends with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee!

We looked at a lot of homes, in Granbury, to make into a vacation rental. When we talked into this house we knew this was IT! I pulled back the carpet and discovered beautiful wood floors. I wanted this home to be comfortable for you and convenient to everything in the Granbury area.

You have access to anything in the kitchen and there are games for the kiddos. We have a Roku TV so please bring your passwords and don't forget to log out. One of my favorite things to do is sit out on the front porch with a cup of morning coffee listening to the birds. Hope you will do the same.
