About this property

Club Bahia Island Sunsets

Isla del Sol Vacation Rental – Waterfront 2BR/2BA Club Bahia Condo Directly on Boca Ciega Bay, St. Petersburg, FL

Some condos face the water. This one hangs over it. The balcony at this 2 bedroom, 2 bath Club Bahia condo sits directly above the shoreline of Boca Ciega Bay, with a bistro-height table built for lingering—coffee while the fishing boats head out, something colder when the sun drops behind the Don Cesar across the water.

Inside, the condo keeps things easy and unpretentious: an open living area with plank-style flooring, comfortable seating pulled around the TV, and sliders that let the bay light pour in. The king bedroom has its own slider to the balcony, so the water is there when you wake up and still there when the ceiling fan lulls you to sleep. The second bedroom's two twin beds work equally well for kids, grandkids, or a pair of friends splitting the trip, and each bedroom has a full bath close at hand, plus a flat-screen TV and wireless internet throughout.

This stretch of Isla del Sol is a front-row seat to the Intracoastal Waterway. Sailboats and charter boats run the channel all day, and dolphins work the seawall close enough to hear them surface. When you're ready to move, the island's royal palms, gardens, and waterside paths handle your morning walk or ride.

Ten minutes puts you at Fort De Soto Park or the St. Pete beaches; downtown St. Petersburg's restaurants, shops, and waterfront are an easy drive. Fishing charters, boat rentals, and sunset cruises launch nearby.

Unpack once, slow down, and let the bay set the schedule.

The location was excellent. The pool was excellent. The view was great! However, the furniture was outdated, uncomfortable, falling apart and the couch was very worn and dirty! The chair on the porch had broken straps. The large black spot on the living room rug was inexcusable. You should throw out all the furniture and start over. It is very old. The towels were so thin .. I’ve never seen towels that thin. The sheets and a blanket on one of the twin beds needed to be washed because they smelled. The twin bed creaks loudly when you try to sleep in it .. would wake you up. Mattresses were not comfortable. There was black mold on the vents in the rooms, the front storm door, the door to the balcony. As you can imagine, for what we paid, we were VERY disappointed! We have stayed in that area 3 times before and rented from owners of the properties and never experienced anything like this. This condo needs attention. I am so glad we were not staying any longer and we would definitely not return.
