About this property
Crescent Nest: 30+ Days of Uptown Bliss & Beats
Welcome to Crescent Nest: Your 30+ Day Uptown Retreat in New Orleans!
Discover the Crescent Nest, a stylish shotgun haven tucked into the heart of Uptown—hands down the best neighborhood in New Orleans (and yes, I might be biased, but you’ll see why). This isn’t just a short-term crash pad; it’s your home base for 30 days or more, designed for those who want to live like a local, soak up the city’s soul, and savor the rhythm of NOLA life. Whether you’re here for work, play, or a little of both, this spot delivers comfort, character, and a location that can’t be beat.
Step outside, and you’re just 4 blocks from the historic St. Charles streetcar line—its clanging bells and timeless charm ready to whisk you downtown or to the Garden District in minutes. Prefer to explore on foot? You’re a mere block from Magazine Street, a vibrant stretch of eateries, boutiques, and galleries that’s equal parts trendy and authentic. From the legendary oysters at Casamento’s to the modern flair of Superior Seafood, your taste buds are in for a treat. Need a caffeine fix? Hey Cafe’s excellent coffee is a short stroll away, and countless other dining options—quirky, upscale, or downright delicious—are right around the corner.
If Mardi Gras is on your radar, you’ve hit the jackpot. Crescent Nest sits just 1 block from all the Uptown parades—prime real estate for catching beads, soaking in the chaos, and feeling the heartbeat of New Orleans’ most iconic celebration. It’s the kind of spot that turns a good trip into a great story.
Stocking up is a breeze with Rouse’s Market just a few blocks down—a local favorite for groceries, drinks, and anything else you need to settle in. Back at the Nest, you’ll find a space that’s as welcoming as the neighborhood itself, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring or working remotely with that Big Easy backdrop.
Uptown isn’t just a place—it’s a vibe. Tree-lined streets, historic charm, and a laid-back energy that’s distinctly NOLA. Minutes from both Magazine and St. Charles, you’re plugged into the best of it all: food, shopping, culture, and that unmistakable New Orleans magic. Book your 30+ day stay at Crescent Nest, and see why Uptown steals hearts—and keeps them. You won’t be disappointed.

About the host
Hosted by Charles

I moved to New Orleans for work in 2012 and actually rented the house the start with. I ended up falling in love with the city, and the previous owners were kind enough to sell the house to me after having it in their family for over 70 years. After living primarily New Orleans for over 7 years, I decided to start spending time traveling, and catching up with family and friends who are scattered from South Carolina to Arizona. This platform has given me an opportunity to share this amazing location with others, as well as the flexibility to do the things that are important in life.
Why they chose this property
While the house is nice and we've tried our best to make sure you'll have everything you'd need, the location is what really sets it apart. Prior to moving to New Orleans, I'd never really just been able to walk down the street to anything, unless I was going to a neighbors house. From this house, you can walk to 5 star restaurants or bars that are open for 24 hours. The St. Charles street car is just a few blocks up and you can head anywhere from Audubon Park to the middle of downtown. Unless you're looking to stay in the French Quarter, this is the very best location in all of New Orleans (Best block, Street, Neighbors, etc.)
