About this property

Alpine Cabin, Ashford

Beautiful cabin home. Perfect for family getaway. Enjoy what mother nature has to offer in this gorgeous cabin home that is nestled in the woods and just a short distance to Mt. Rainier. Great for hiking and getting away from the hustle and bustle of life. You will find peace and serenity mixed in with wildlife that equals a relaxing and peaceful stay at the cabin.

The space
This amazing log cabin home has two bedrooms and 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry area, and huge great room. It is a quarter mile from the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park.

The two bedrooms both have queen sized beds, and the master comes with a full bath. The second bathroom is shower only.

The great room is also a common area that has two queen beds in it and a bunk bed set with two twin beds. It is also a perfect place for family entertaining. With foosball table, 65" TV, DVD PLAYER, and games for both adults and children, it also has books for all ages and toys. A large comfy sectional.

There's a washer and dryer, microwave, refrigerator, fully stocked kitchen, stove, wood fireplace, and a fire pit in the backyard as well as a charcoal grill to BBQ.

There is hiking nearby all-around and a restaurant in walking distance. While enjoying the backyard, there's wildlife that you will see periodically. Families of deer perhaps, it's a great way to get back to nature.

The home was built by my grandparents in 1988. They lived there and also ran their business Alpine gallery out of the gallery side that is now the huge great room. My grandmother also painted her beautiful oil paintings, and my grandfather crafted many creative things over the years.

We would love to share our family home with you and yours to enjoy the beauty of the home and surroundings.

Gorgeous but needs some attention
Cons: - hair on sink, toilet and bath - THICK layer of dust on the mantle which is funny because there were cute Valentine's decorations put up there - Only 2 rolls of toilet paper in bathrooms, no extra so by the end of the stay we ran out - No replacement paper towel - Not nearly enough firewood and no instruction for the air vent on the fireplace (which could just be a me problem lol) - Only 1 extra garbage bag - Really odd mixture of cold and warm lighting Pros: - Massive place - Absolutely gorgeous house and decorations - Holiday specific decorations were really cute - Nice backyard But seriously extra supplies and a proper wipe down and this place would get a 5 star. Also I'm begging for the owners to change at least the main rooms lighting to warm lighting so it matches the other rooms and isn't so washed out

Perfect weekend getaway
My grandpa gifted us a weekend in a cabin for Christmas and this cabin could not have been more perfect! We were hoping there would be snow but we really enjoyed just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of this property. They have enough games and toys for all ages in the arcade room that we just spent time building puzzles and playing board games together! My 3 year old and 7 year old never got bored once! The host, Heidi, was so sweet and generous to us during our stay. We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone needing some tranquility and a break! We hope to go back again next year!

Christmas getaway
My husband and I, my son and daughter-in-law, and our three grandchildren stayed for our Christmas getaway! The bunk room was fabulous for the kiddos, and my son and daughter-in-law! We stayed at the other end of the house to give them privacy, and to get some much-needed rest when we had to! it was roomy, cozy, and a great deal of fun! It was all decorated for Christmas, and the kids loved that! It had two miniature Christmas trees, which was a great surprise! I did not have to set mine up after all! It took us The first day and night to figure out the heat. Was cold outside, and we had never used space heaters before, so we weren’t sure what we were doing… We were much too conservative with them, and we were rather chilly the first night. But we figured that out and we’re perfectly comfortable After that. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Log house on the highway
The house was clean but it sat right on the highway so there is no where to walk nearby. Also, even after turning on the electric heat, it was always cold, and in one bedroom particularly cold since it was not heated at all. The wood fireplace was not efficient and there was not enough wood for our stay.

Mt. Rainier Trip
Was the perfect spot for a weekend at Mt. Rainier. Park access was close. The home was large, lots of beds, good kitchen. Loved the firepit outside.
