About this property

Our charming chalet rental home is located at 128 Kissimmee Road, 1 mile outside The Village of Fleischmanns. We are a short walk to the Big Red Kill Stream, great for fishing, swimming and tubing.
It is a 2 story home with 5 bedrooms, 2 full baths, sleeps up to 10 people and is available for rent all year round. (30% discount)

Has potential

Have to agree with a previous review. Stayed middle of July.....grass not cut, weeds everywhere. Fire pit area (if you call it that) was unusable. Hot tub had no chemical, water had a funky smell (I have our own hot tub so can attest if it is properly maintained. This one is not.). Owner had food on freezer and refrigerator, and in cabinets. Deck area was a mis-match of chairs and table parts, could not be used Interior of house was clean with good bathrooms. But beware or renting in this general area, as all the properties we saw shared this common theme ....look great on pictures, but vastly different in person.

The house itself was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves but upon trying to use the hot tub the temperature was not hot and it had not been cleaned he came over to clean it but never came back to adjust the temperature as he stated he would we were unable to use the freezer because he had his food inside it and the grills had no gas in them so we couldn’t use them the fire pit was disgusting and unusable and the sand box had feces all inside it not to mention the grass was not mowed besides all the stuff wrong we made the best of the situation

Worst Experience

Unable to review the property as it was double booked. The group that was in the house arrived Friday and was a young group celebrating a birthday. We arrived Saturday, an older family celebrating a wedding. Communication was done via phone and text and yet the individual in charge claimed no responsibility for the error but blamed VRBO and Air Bnb. He attempted to take us to see another place but had not been in contact with the other place not knew if it accepted a dog. He was told to refund us immediately and we were able to rent a hotel in the area. The following morning I received an email with a refund that was $92 short. I called VRBO to report the issue. They were great and advised me that he had kept the $92 for damage. We never went in the house!!!! I received the full amount . The outside isnt as nice as the pictures. I believe this man was a scammer!!

Great escape

We had a wonderful experience at the Bruno house and John made us feel completely welcome and at home (and even gave us some history of the area in the process!). This was a great place to relax for a couple of weeks. Loved the house's mudroom, open kitchen area, and space to both work and play. The surrounding area has everything you could want for a mountain vacation.
