The host was welcoming and responded quickly to any questions. The home was comfortable and as advertised.Would definitely recommend to friends and family
We had a great stay! There are 2 bedrooms with Kings, a bedroom with a queen and bunk bed, and then 2 loft bedrooms each with a queen (I think) and a bunk bed. Everything worked great and communication with the owner was quick and easy.
We had a wonderful time at this house. Very convenient for skiing.

Casey, thank you for your 5 star review! Chapel Rock is such a special place with amazing energy that you and your family will want to come back to year after year. Thank you for mentioning the proximity to the mountain, Belleyare Mountain is 6 minutes door to door from Chapel Rock! My cleaning company reported you and your party were excellent guests, amazingly clean, and beautifully cared for. Thank you. Now that we have established a good rapport I would like to offer you a discount on your next reservation. I sure hope you can come get the "Catskills Experience" and take a deep breath of the mountain air.

We were a party of 10, and had a comfortable stay at Terrie’s beautiful home. The teens had a great space upstairs with a pool table, games, and plenty of beds. The adults enjoyed the main floor with a fully stocked kitchen, big dining room table and cozy sitting area. Downstairs was a perfect space for all our ski gear. We’d definitely return for another stay!
Overall great experience. House was great and Terrie the owner was extremely responsive about any minor issues that came up. Very relaxing atmosphere with firepit and mountain views.

We had a lot of fun staying at the house during our annual skip trip. Location is perfect and just minutes away from the ski center. Terrie sent us very detailed instructions before our arrival date so the check in process was extremely easy. The house turned out to be even better than what the pictures show and we particularly enjoyed the pool table and played every night. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend.
House was exactly as described. There are lots of great features but there are a few things that took away from our overall experience.
Unfortunately, we were looking for a peaceful getaway and there is a hose that fills a pond in front of the house running 24/7 which makes an unpleasant sound like electrical zaps. We were told it could not be turned off, even just for our stay. Stargazing or eating at the beautifully lit table outside near the pond was unenjoyable because of that. We understand that a country house has spiders and bugs but considering the cleaning fee, there should not have been big webs in the downstairs ceiling corners with lots of live spiders and big dead bugs squashed on the upstairs bedroom walls. The upstairs area with the pool table was a great way to relax and have fun. Overall, the house is thoughtfully decorated and maximizes the space well.

Lydia, thank you for your review of my property. I am so happy you and your family were able to get the "Catskills Experience" and take a deep breath of the mountain air. Happy to hear that the house was as pictured and the upstairs loft "was a great way to relax"I apologize for any dissatisfaction with the spiderwebs. I wish you would have communicated to me your concerns and I would have rescheduled my cleaning company to immediately rectify the situation. I am extremely responsive and would have been proactive to rectify the situation if you had communicated to me the need for additional cleaning. I apologize. Concerning the pond with running water, you did communicate and requested to turn off the water to the outside pond. I was able to let you know that the pond is fed by a spring up on the mountain top and could not be turned off. I apologize if the water sound was not to your liking. We truly value our guests and in particular we are proud of our returning guests who come back year after year to make memories with their family. once establishing a good rapport by caring for our property as you would care for your own, we would love to offer you a discount on your next reservation. I sure hope that you and your family can come make many more family memories. Take care and be safe Terrie

Nice location nice neighborhood but there was no central air or air conditioning. The house was 93 degrees inside and 91 outside. We had to go and purchase two a/c units for our stay. Also the hot tub was barely big enough for one person. Perhaps new photos should be taken because me and my fiancé could not fit together. When I had contacted the host about the air they said to open all the windows and turn the fans on. We payed good money to stay there and we were highly disappointed. It was the middle of July and the house was completely decorated for Christmas morning. The floors needed to be mopped my feet were black with a half hour of being there. I also let them know the ages of my children and this house was definitely not kid friendly. The a/c units we had to purchase which was 2 of them. They came out to a little over $600. Another thing when we went for a clean dish there was a few plates with old food that didn’t come off in the dishwasher and had molded in the cabinet. The temperature of the home was very uncomfortable and we should not of had to purchase air conditioners for our stay in order to even be inside the home. This place was definitely over priced and we feel we were taken advantage of.

Beware of this guest!! It is extremely apparent that this guest did not take the time to READ the listing! My listing clearly states that there is no AC! She also did not take the time to READ the complete information that I sent prior to check in that gives specific instructions to turn on all fans and place screens in windows. Further the misunderstanding was on the guest who had no COMMUNICATION with the host concerning availability of AC prior to check in. When contacted, I responded the house is equipped with an over sized house fan, fans in every bedroom and screens for all windows, which is exactly what my listing states.
As far as the decor, I have “year round seasonal decorated trees” The season is summer decor not Christmas!
Beware of this guest she will not read your listing and then give you a terrible review on an amenity that was not offered, she said she agreed to! As far as the cleanliness, I have a 5 star reviews from over 40 guests who say otherwise. This is not a fair assessment!
We had a lovely time at Terrie's home - the house is big and roomy and very close to skiing and to local towns. VERY quiet and private at the same time. It ended up only being four of us, but the house would have been comfortable as well with a larger group. Would definitely recommend!
Everything was better than described. Best outfitted rental we've ever stayed at. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could need and then some. The seasonal decorations were even nicer than I'd hoped, with some extra special touches. The pool table provided hours of fun. There was more than enough space for everyone, but still felt cozy. Gorgeous hiking trails not far. Hope to come back and stay again!
We were a group of 8 girls that stayed here for a weekend to hangout and hike. The house was very clean, had everything you needed, and was secluded so you didn’t have to worry about being too loud and disturbing neighbors.
Only tip is to don’t forget shampoo, conditioner, and body wash because those are not provided.
We will definitely try to book this house again when we return to the Catskills!
We stayed with our family for a week. The house was just as described, communication was prompt, check in and out were a breeze, and we had an amazing experience. The house had everything we needed and our family was very comfortable. I wish I could sleep with the mountain air every night. Thank you!!
We threw a surprise party with a group of 10 adults and the house was a perfect fit for us. The outside space is wonderful and we all had plenty of room to spread out inside. Terrie was quick to respond and provided helpful information. I highly recommend this property and hope to come back someday.
The place was just as advertised beds were comfy we had everything we needed
We were grateful to find such a lovely place to spend with our children and grandchildren. The house was warm and inviting and set up so well.We had a great time.
The property was clean overall. However, our family is used to leaving our shoes at the door and walking barefoot but perhaps this was not the case with previous visitors as our feet got a bit dirty from walking around shortly after we arrived. We also didn't have enough garbage bags and were unable to locate any food storage containers, plastic wrap, or tin foil. I think supplying an abundance of these items would make it easier for families who do a lot of cooking. Overall, we had a nice time. The fire pit was great.

Jenny thank you for your wonderful review of my property. So happy to hear that you loved the fire pit and the house was over all clean. Cleanliness is my top priority. “Over all” nice time is so important. That means the location was great, the property was great, the house was great. We truly value family and making memories and pride ourselves on the fact that most of our guests are returning. Families come back year after year to make more memories.
I apologize the miscommunication concerning the saran wrap supply. Prior to Covid most condiments and extras were left at the house for the next guests. Since the pandemic guests feel more comfortable bringing their own groceries.
I appreciate your feedback and have ordered some Tupperware, tin foil.
Terrie
We rented this property for a long weekend with another family. The kids enjoyed the hot tub, catching frogs by the pond, and exploring the stream and the trail in the woods. The game room was a big hit also, especially since it rained all weekend. I would definitely recommend this property!
