This charming cottage in Ségur-le-Château—officially recognized as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France"—offers a peaceful and private escape for couples. While located on the same grounds as the main house, the cottage is entirely independent, self-contained, and secluded, ensuring you have your own space to unwind. You can start your mornings on the private roofed terrace with a coffee or enjoy the shared garden and barbecue area for a relaxed dinner under the stars.

The surrounding landscape is a haven for nature lovers, with the scenic Auvézère River and lush forests just 1 km away. For a bit of adventure, you can find horseback riding within 10 km, or explore the village’s rich medieval history and stunning stone architecture on foot. While there are local restaurants within a short walk to enjoy the regional cuisine, please note that Ségur no longer has a local grocery store or specialty shops, so it’s a good idea to pick up supplies before you arrive.

Designed for comfort and convenience, the cottage features electric heating to keep you cozy and on-site parking for easy access. We are happy to welcome dogs, making it a complete getaway for the whole family. For those planning an extended stay to fully soak in the Limousin countryside, a washing machine is available for your use. Check-in is between 4 PM and 8 PM, and check-out is between 10 AM and 12 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy this historic "safe place."

Rustig, gezellig en in een mooie omgeving. Vriendelijk onthaal door de eigenaars die vlakbij wonen maar waar je niks van merkt. Slaapkamer aan de warme kant, maar als je 's avonds de ramen openzet is de temperatuur prima.

Geweldige plek, comfortabel huisje, paradijselijke tuin en prettige discrete eigenaars. Dat de waardering over het geheel genomen toch niet uitstekend is, is alleen te wijten aan de hitte. Die maakt dat het slaapkamertje boven erg warm is zonder airco.

Heel warm ontvangen door Cathérine & Philippe en Ifi. Zeer mooie tuin waar we enorm van genoten hebben, meest prachtige planten. Het huisje is zeer comfortabel, perfect schoon en gezellig ingericht met een fijn terras eraan. Van alle gemakken voorzien, en er stond een heerlijke fles bio rose koud in onze frigo. We hebben ook nog heel veel stekjes & zaadjes meegekregen voor ons stadstuintje in Antwerpen. De omgeving is fenomenaal mooi met Segur-le-Château op loofafstand. Het was een zeer aangename week!

Une petite maison équipée et décorée avec goût, d'une propreté irréprochable. Des propriétaires très accueillants. Le tout dans un village magnifique où le temps s'est arrêté. Aucune fausse note pour un séjour au calme, pour les amoureux de balades.

Wir sind von unseren Vermietern, deren Wohnhaus ca. 30m von der Unterkunft auf dem gleichen Grundstück liegt, sehr freundlich aufgenommen worden. Das Ferienhaus ist in einem sehr guten, fast neuwertigem Zustand. Alles war sehr sauber. Schattige Plätzchen sind an drei Seiten des Ferienhauses vorhanden. Das Vermieterehepaar ist sehr hilfreich, aber diskret. Der kleine Ort Segur ist ca. 600m entfernt, so dass ein kurzer Fußweg ins Dorf schnell möglich ist. Die 600m enthalten allerdings vom Dorf aus gesehen eine beträchtliche Steigung, so dass dieser Weg als Radweg nur einigermaßen sportlich zu bewältigen ist. Insgesamt lässt sich die gesamte Region sehr gut mit dem Fahrrad erkunden (E-Bike wäre aufgrund der hügeligen Landschaft hilfreich)

Diese Unterkunft ist ein Paradies! Leute, die einfach nur entspannen und die Natur genießen möchten, sind hier genau richtig. Das Ferienhaus ist neu renoviert, gemütlich, liebevoll und pragmatisch eingerichtet für Personen, die sich selbst versorgen und dabei wohl fühlen wollen. Das Haupthaus befindet sich direkt daneben, eine direkte Nähe zu den Gastgebern ist demnach vorprogrammiert. Aber Catherine und Phillippe sind herzliche Gastgeber, die akzeptieren, wenn jemand Ruhe möchte, die aber auch sofort zur Stelle sind, wenn Fragen sind. Sie sind herzlich und zuvorkommend. Ein wenig Französisch-Kenntnisse sind allerdings von Vorteil, ich konnte mit meinen zuletzt vor 20 Jahren gelernten, danach niemals wieder praktizierten Französchisch-Sprachkenntnissen, zusammen mit Gesten, Händen und Füßen aber immer mit meinen Gatsgebern kommunizieren. Ich war dieses Jahr zwei Woche im April dort und hatte leider nur 1,5 Tage Sonne, aber ich habe die Landschaft der Corréze und der angrenzenden Dordogne trotzdem genossen. Ich möchte das alles gerne nochmal mit Sonne genießen! Ein Auto ist ein muss! Größere Supermäkte sind 10km entfernt und die paradiesche Natur sowieso am besten mit dem Auto zu erkunden - ausgenommen natürlich das 1 km entfernte verschlafene Dorf Segur le Château, das im Sommer durch seinen Markt-Tag anscheinend aufblühmt. Anyway, das petit bistro ist auch im April mit seinem Charme ein Highlight. Zusammenfassend Die Unterkunft ist grandios, die Gastgeber sind zuvorkommend und reizend, die Landschaft ist fantastisch, wer die Natur liebt und herzlich wilkommen geheißen möchte, muss dahin!

We zijn heel goed ontvangen door de eigenaars , heel vriendelijke mensen ,zeker niet opdringerig . Het huisje was in perfecte staat ,alles was aanwezig wat je nodig had ,ook 2 ligstoelen en 2 zeteltjes om gezellig buiten te zitten . Een heel rustige streek ,je moet dan ook al een eindje rijden om iets te gaan bezichtigen , de oudheid van het dorpje en omstreken sprak ons enorm aan . Zeker een aanrader .

Mooie vacantie, veel wandel-mogelijkheden. We apprecieerden vooral de stilte die je in die streek kan ervaren. De eigenaars hebben er alles aan gedaan ons het zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken, incl. de Franse apéro's aan het einde van ons verblijf ! Huisje was perfect en gloednieuw, helemaal op maat om 2 personen te laten genieten. Wel wat kleine slaapkamer, let op je hoofd !

Samen met een vriendin dit huisje voor een week gehuurd en een hele fijne vakantie gehad! Het huisje ligt op een heerlijk rustige locatie aan de rand van 1 van de 7 mooiste dorpjes van de streek Limousin. De eigenaren van het huisje waren heel aardig en behulpzaam en als we iets nodig hadden konden we het altijd vragen. Het huisje zelf is erg mooi! Recent gerenoveerd, zeer modern en van alle gemakken voorzien! Een fijn en zonnig terras en lekker liggend bed! Het enige wat ik een klein beetje heb gemist is een lekker zittend bankje o.i.d. er waren alleen 2 stoelen aanwezig en een tuinset bank. Het huisje is wel echt maar geschikt voor 2 personen, want het heeft maar 1 slaapkamer, maar voor ons wat dat helemaal goed. Dit huisje is zeker aan te raden als je op zoek bent naar een vakantie bestemming om tot rust te komen!

Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. Behulpzaam. Ze hadden zelfs brood voor ons gekocht omdat het zondagavond was. De accomodatie was zeer knus. De grote tuin van de eigenaren lag naast het huisje. We mochten daar gebruik van maken. Wat we wel jammer vonden was dat ons terras uitkeek op het huis van de eigenaren en dat ze ons dus konden zien zitten. Helaas spraken wij weinig Frans, dus echt met elkaar praten, ging niet daar zij nauwelijks Engels spraken. De omgeving is daar prachtig. Een schitterend dorpje, veel historie, zeer de moeite waard. Ook een leuke wandeling van het huisje naar het dorp.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön, alles vorhanden was das Herz begehrt. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig jedoch gibt es schöne Dörfer zu besichtigen und ein paar Ausflugsziele.
