Not as advertised
The property is listed as 2 bath and can sleep 6. There was a bedroom with a bed, a pullout couch, a kitchenette, and 1 bathroom. There was no way this could sleep 6 people. We thought we had issues with opening the door, but after management got there, we learned that you needed to throw your body into the door because it sticks. The WiFi did not work the entire week. We reported it, 2 days later received a different WiFi and password to use, that still did not work. We did not reach out again due to frustration with additional problems described next. The front door to the building was not working correctly. The code we received would show as incorrect when used, and we stood out there with other people that were also using codes (that differed from ours) and they were not working either. We tried calling the emergency number multiple times during the available times because we could not get into the building, and left a voicemail, but never received a call back. Luckily someone inside the building ordered food for delivery and had to come open the door after we had been trying to get in for an hour. The last three nights were filled with people banging on the front door, the phone in our room constantly ringing, and people yelling in frustration in the street. This would go on till 3 or 4 am each night. People were pulling insulation from the wall and jamming it in the door to keep it from fully closing and locking everyone out.
The other thing that upset us was the pricing. When booking the reservation, I used my credit card and expected a pending transaction for the amount of the stay plus the security deposit. Right before taking off on the plane I saw an email stating funds were never received and to use the link they provided to pay. The link was a site outside of Vrbo and the cost was now more than what was stated on Vrbo while booking. We wouldn’t have minded the price increase if the location didn’t have all of the other issues. We acknowledge the front door may not have been something the host could have fixed, but the lack of response from the emergency line was concerning. I have booked with a hotel for when we return to Paris next week for 7 days.
