VICTORIAN BATHROOM WITH SOAKING TUB AND RAINFOREST SHOWER
**Before booking, please ensure you are comfortable stepping into and out of a high-walled clawfoot bathtub and shower setup**
With its all-original 100 year-old porcelain and nickel-plated fixtures, using our bathroom is an experience in itself. Enjoy the serpentine corner sink. Relax in a spa bubble bath or rainforest shower in our full-length Victorian clawfoot bathtub.

WASHER/DRYER ON PREMISES
A washer and dryer are adjacent to your studio in our Victorian residence with easy access to a separate laundry room via a side-entry door. Guests can coordinate with us in advance to select one day a week that we will keep the room available for your use.

HOUSEKEEPING PROVIDED (based on your needs)
We will coordinate with you to come in once a week to provide light cleaning services (you are responsible to keep the kitchen tidy and dishes washed). For this weekly service we charge an additional cleaning fee of $35 per week for cleaning only and $50 a week if guests request additional service for laundering towels, bedding and shower curtains. This cleaning fee will be requested after a long-term stay booking is accepted.

SMALL PETS ACCEPTED WITH HOST APPROVAL
Small pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us in advance There will be one-time additional pet cleaning fee charge of $150 that will be requested prior to booking when you book with pets.

Our rural slice of heaven is a historic property situated in the quaint dairy town of Ferndale, surrounded by panoramic views of the Ferndale Valley, sunrises and sunsets, deer, migratory birds, and contented cows grazing in fertile fields.

Surrounding our Victorian Estate adjacent to the carriage house you’ll find a secret garden brimming with wildlife ideal for bird-watchers and nature lovers, a refuge for deer, and a home for many species of nesting birds. Hardy antique roses climb as high as 50 feet on trees and clamor along fences and arbors.
MIGRATORY BIRDS
In Fall and Winter, our fields become a refuge for a diverse variety of migratory birds including Tundra Swans and Aleutian Geese.

Guest access
Please park under the overhang. There's a lock box on the wall beside the front door. When you are closer to your arrival date we will send you the access code.

Other things to note
NO SMOKING ANYWHERE
No smoking of anything, vaping or partying anywhere on the premises, inside or anywhere on the property. If you smoke marijuana, cigarettes or vape please do not book here.
***Please don't book our place if you have trouble getting in and out of a clawfoot tub. Our antique tub can be difficult for some people to use. ****

Right under the front door, there is a 4” step to get in and out of the studio. In order to take a shower or bath, you have to get inside the bathtub. There are no assist bars anywhere in the bathroom. We don’t recommend booking the studio if you have difficulty getting in and out of a bathtub or need assist grab bars to use the bathroom, tub, or shower.

THE CARRIAGE HOUSE IS ALSO USED BY US
There are no other guests in the carriage house but you. We work quietly upstairs in the craft room and Glenn has a hobby shop downstairs. Your studio is professionally soundproofed. We are respectful of your privacy and are quiet when you are home.

WE WORK ON OUR PROPERTY
We do our own maintenance and repairs. From time-to-time, you might hear mowers, gas powered maintenance equipment, and tractors during the day.

BOOKING WITH CHILDREN?
Please notify us prior to your arrival if you would like us to move our cleaning supplies from the bottom cabinet to a higher location.
We welcome you to enjoy exploring the outdoors on our property. However, children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
By booking with children, you acknowledge that we are not responsible any injuries in the studio or on the property. Surrounding the carriage house there are steep retaining walls (i.e., grass just north of the barn has sudden 5’ foot drop-off), rough terrain, deep culverts along the street, potential drowning from rainwater filled culverts in Winter, and other hazards.

2-ACRE GARDEN
Our large Victorian home adjacent to the carriage house is our private residence and is surrounded by a beautiful 2 acre park-like garden. Please feel free to enjoy our garden and rose gazebo during the day.

FIRE CALL
If you hear a siren sound, it means that the Ferndale fire department is called to action and it alerts volunteers to help someone in need. It also means it’s lunchtime if you hear the fire call at noon.
