Everyone loves Dolly, and we're only about 3 miles from Dollywood.
The hot tub looks extra magical at night.
Yes, that's a 100 inch projector screen with surround sound!
Did we mention that the home theater room upstairs has a Lego wall?
We love the hot tub.

About this property

Hot tub, Lego wall, theater room! 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, near Dollywood!

The Nest is convenient to Dollywood and all the Pigeon Forge attractions. Enjoy the large hot tub with bluetooth speakers, projector screen theater system with surround sound, Lego wall, more than 50 board and card games, and outdoor grill. 2,000+ square feet of space to spread out, two living areas, five televisions! Experience the fun of the Smokies in a comfortable, casual home, and have everything you need to make great memories!

More than 2,000 square feet. Three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room, family room, bonus room. Privacy fenced patio area with hot tub, gas grill, outdoor dining. Sleeps 12 comfortably (two king beds, two sets of bunk beds, two daybeds with trundle beds.)

Brought to you by the husband and wife team behind the popular "Bird Houses" in Gatlinburg, The Nest is a departure from the typical log cabin, bear motif that is abundant in our area. Designed with our travels to funky and fun places like Austin and East Nashville in mind, you'll find bright colors, interesting trinkets from antique stores, wacky wall art, and a nod to our 80's childhood where it fits (vintage Garfield drinking glasses? Yep!) You'll also find the largest collection of board and card games in an Airbnb in Tennessee - more than 70! It's our typical mixture of fun and functional. But comfort is key in our world, so you'll still get our signature over-the-top coziness factor features, like pillow top mattresses, lots of extra blankets and pillows, an abundance of towels and washcloths, a full coffee setup, and enough stuff to entertain you - games, movies, outdoor spaces, a 13 foot long Lego wall - just in case you never want to venture out the front door.

Experience all the fun of Dollywood, the Pigeon Forge Parkway, or Great Smoky Mountains National Park, knowing that the brand new amazing hot tub is waiting for you back at The Nest to help you recharge when the day’s adventures end. With colored lights and Bluetooth sound system, this top of the line spa will not disappoint!

Weather outside not so great? Pop some popcorn in the microwave and settle in for some board games or curl up and watch a movie on the projector screen with surround sound. We've got everything you need to stay entertained while Ma Nature takes her frustrations out on the rest of the world.

Upstairs in the bonus room you'll find tons of DVDs, a projector system with surround sound that will play movies and TV (football never looked so good!), more than 70 board games and card games, and a Lego wall with plenty of Legos to play with. This space was designed specifically for kids...and kids at heart. There are no couches up here, just big daybeds loaded with pillows, perfect for getting relaxed and comfy. Those daybeds have trundle beds underneath, so this room comfortably sleeps four.

Can't agree on what to watch? Each bedroom has a Roku-enabled TV with Netflix, Hulu, and more, and there are TVs in the living room and family room downstairs. The projector system in the upstairs bonus room works as a TV as well with a cable package. (Yes, y'all, that means football on a BIG screen!) There is also WiFi throughout the house for your phones and tablets. No more fighting over who controls what everyone watches!

Feeling romantic? Pour a couple of glasses of wine and lounge in the hot tub with that special someone; turn on the hot tub lights and Bluetooth speakers and switch on the string lights overhead. Or sit on the second floor deck and chat all night under the stars.

There are two bathrooms, one connected to the master bedroom (also holds the washer and dryer) and the other in the hallway. The master bathroom has a stand up shower; the hall bath has a shower/tub combo. Both are stocked with large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and plenty of towels.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom also has a king sized bed, and the third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4.) Upstairs in the bonus room are two daybeds (used as couches during the day) with twin-sized trundle beds underneath (sleeps 4.) No uncomfortable sofa beds! We've also got a pack and play crib available for little ones; just let us know if you'll need it.

Each mattress has a protective cover so no bedbugs can live here, and a pillowtop mattress pad to make you super relaxed. There are lots of fluffy pillows and warm blankets to keep everyone comfy and cozy all night long. You deserve a good night’s sleep!

The kitchen is fully stocked. And we mean FULLY stocked. If you've been frustrated in the past with rentals that have four spoons and two tiny plates, you can rest assured that that's not how we roll. An overwhelming amount of plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, cookie sheets, casserole dishes, muffin tins. This is a full working kitchen that has made many a hearty family meal for a crowd.

Kitchen appliances include waffle iron, Crock Pot, blender, mixer, toaster, coffee maker, electric water kettle. We provide the dish soap, dishwasher detergent, dish towels, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters. Not just a "starter pack", enough for your whole stay. It seems silly to expect guests to provide these things! We also provide plenty of coffee, tea, and sugar; the fridge has filtered water and an ice maker. There's even a stocked spice cabinet, and things like cooking oil, hot sauce, salt and pepper.

Other amenities include a full-size washer and dryer, USB chargers in every bedroom, plenty of extra pillows and blankets, and a large patio space. The outdoor patio area with dining table, extra chairs, grill, fire bowl, and hot tub is enclosed with a privacy fence.

We're super close to the action while being far enough away to be peaceful. Dollywood is about three miles away, as is the Parkway that leads to all the Pigeon Forge fun with go carts, miniature golf, shopping, and more! Walmart is less than a 10 minute drive, in case you forgot anything important. Plenty of restaurants are minutes away, along with local favorites like Pigeon Forge Snow, the brand new Mountain Monster, The Island, and Sevier Air Trampoline Park. The Sevierville Convention Center is about six miles away; the LeConte Convention Center is less than five miles away. Best of all, there are no steep or windy roads or crazy driveways to navigate. The driveway is flat too!

This is a family home and it has been used for LOTS of family fun. It's not a museum, it's a place for you to get comfortable and enjoy yourself. We've added some upgrades for our guests, but it was originally a real home for a real family. There's lots of natural light, fun finds from antique stores and our own travels, and live plants. If you want a pristine, brand new museum, this isn't it. If you want a typical, contrived cabin, this isn't it. If you want a solid "home base" to explore the area, in a convenient location in a quiet neighborhood, this is the place for you.

You want to be close to Dollywood and all the Pigeon Forge attractions, but you don't want to be in a contrived touristy cabin development. The view isn't super important, but modern conveniences are. You don't care about luxurious linens or expensive decor, you just want to be comfortable. Windy mountain roads aren't your thing; but you do want a quiet neighborhood.

We’re so excited to share this space with you, because the best souvenir from any vacation are happy memories!

Excellent experience
We enjoyed our stay at this gem. Location was great! Very close to activities, yet off the beaten path enough to feel "away from it all." No need to drive tricky mountain roads. Our family loved the variety of board games as well as the theater room. Communication with the property owner was very easy and with prompt responses. We would certainly consider staying here again!

Great stay and really easy to get to Dollywood!
We had a great time at this property. Literally more stuff to do then you can get done in a weekend. It entertained 4 kids everyday and gave the adults space to hang out as well. Definitely would recommend and would stay here again.

Loved the area, also loved the message they left for us as a welcome. Very big home and well equipped. It really felt like home. We had everything we needed from toiletries, towells, blankets, seasoning for our food and my favorite coffee which was also provided by owners. Very pleased.

I love to travel. Whether it's a cruise, camping in our RV, a cheesy tourist destination, or just exploring a new city, I love it all.
I've visited almost every state in the country.

My wife and I believe in making memories and experiencing interesting places and people. We outfit our rentals to be a home away from home, because we don't like packing extra stuff when we visit.

By day, I'm a nuclear engineer. In my spare time, I help my wife put on races from 5K up to 100 mile ultramarathons, and we're both distance runners ourselves. We have three kids and two dogs.
