KHARVILLA is found in the peaceful area of Djorf West Bank Luxor, beside date palms and banana plantations of the countryside. Feel the history of Egypt all around, soak up the panoramic views of the nile as you relax on the large verandahs overlooking the historic scenes of life along the river. After the excitement of visiting the antiquities enjoy the stunning 9x4m pool and jacuzzi within the private walled garden. The pool is 1.37 m at deep end and 1m at jacuzzi end. The villa has 4 double bedrooms with own ensuites. Enjoy watching the sunrise while you breakfast on verandah or feel the tranquillity of the evenings watching the twinkling lights of the cruise ships floating past. Downstairs has a large well equipped kitchen, there is a spacious lounge to relax and watch TV opening out to garden facing the Nile. perfect for afternoon tea or a quiet read. Take your meals outside in front of pool on the large granite table Enjoy the quiet pace of life and feel safe among the welcoming locals of Djorf . The local shops and cafes of Gezira and Ramla are 10 mins away by taxi and are great to spend a day out , take lunch or talk with the locals The West Bank is hassle free and peaceful but still close to the ferry across to the Souk , museum and antiquities of the East Bank. KHARVILLA has it's own friendly manager Sayed. He speaks good english and is there to look after you and your needs. He will take the hassle out of your holiday. You can organise with him to drive you anywhere, all the archaeological sites of Luxor or further away eg Dendera Abydos . He will also arrange trips to the nearby supermarkets or if you wish to cross the Nile to the East bank . For an evening out he will take you to ferry or to any of the main Hotels of the east/west bank where you can enjoy their restaurants. You can contact him at any time. Take a short walk from the villa beside the river bank , through the palm trees to the local cafes at Banana Island. Enjoy the scenery reminiscent of ancient Egypt, chat to other tourists and the friendly locals. Fresh papaya , lemon and mango juice served or a Stella beer and coffee. Billiard table and ping pong table to enjoy a relaxed evening out. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Washing machine for own use. Aircon in each bedroom . Electricity and wi- fi included in price. Pickup and return to Luxor Airport can be requested. Situated 10mins drive from all the major West bank archaeological sites of the Kings valley Necropolis. We had the most wonderful stay at Kharvilla. The villa itself is great. All bedrooms apart from one have their own private terrace and there are so many lovely spots around the grounds to relax and be in sun or shade whatever you choose. The place is well enough equipped if you want to cook, but in all honesty why would you when your host can provide delicious breakfasts and evening meals delivered to your table. What makes this place so very special though are the people. Special mention to Arlene the owner, Sayed the manager and Ahmed our driver, but everyone we came across were so lovely and generous with their time. We were so sad to leave and would love to return one day, health and finances permitting!

Amazing house, lovely location

We has a wonderful stay in Luxor. The house and pool were everything we could of hoped for and Sayed, the manager and staff next door at the Blue Nile Hotel, could not do enough for us, organising trips etc. Owner, Arlene, kept in touch too which was great. Would highly recommend and we will return.

Perfect..again!

Second time staying at kharvilla and it was perfect..again. The management is remarkable. We are treated like royalty. Sayed and his family looked after our every need from local advice to ordering food to finding rides. They kept our villa clean throughout our stay yet we never felt a lack of privacy. The setting surrounding the villa, the heart of the West Bank and the beautiful Nile, is what makes this property extraordinary. It is a beautiful villa and comfortable but Arlene, Sayed and his family and the neighbours are the reason we will always stay in Kharvilla when we visit Luxor.

A Wonderful Experience

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Kharvilla is perfect. The villa is absolutely beautiful. It’s very spacious with 4+ bedrooms each having an ensuite bathroom, shower and air conditioning. The pool is lovely and we used it daily. The balconies offer spectacular views of the Nile. Arlene, Sayed, Mahmoud and Abdu were all so helpful and pleasant to deal with. We were very well looked after. The villa is situated in the heart of the west bank which allowed us to experience the true Egyptian rural life. It’s also close to all the temples and historical sites. We are so glad to have stayed here and intend on returning.

Unforgettable holidays

The setting, the Nile, the incredible Egyptian countryside and Luxor, the open-air museum city... The villa, very large and comfortable, immerses us in the Egyptian countryside, on the banks of the Nile and the banana trees. The house is true to the photos, and the pool is incredible, especially on a hot summer's day. Before we left, Arlene was always on hand to answer our questions and erase our doubts. And what about Sayed and his family? Our guardian angels on site. Always available to answer our questions, organize excursions, take care of meal delivery... Without them, the vacation wouldn't have had the same flavor. We highly recommend this villa for visiting Luxor. We hope to return soon. Simply, thank you.

This Villa was the ideal place for us to start our vacation in Egypt. It is located on the west bank of the Nile. There it is a lot quieter and close to several special sites. You can go there together, as we did, but also with children or with friends. This villa has everything. 4 beautiful bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. A fine kitchen, nice spacious living room and on the roof a lovely terrace with a view. A nice front garden with morning sun and stunning views of the Nile and on the other side a beautiful courtyard with pool. The communication with Arlene, the owner of this villa went perfectly. Always quick responses and good advice. And everyone there is hospitable but in all my travel life I have never experienced such great service as that of Sayed, the manager. He enjoys helping us and has a very large network with which he gets everything arranged. We will definitely go back again and then we will stay 2a3 weeks and use this place as a permanent base for our excursions.

Arlene ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt und werden wiederkommen, wenn es zeitlich passt.Die Zusammenarbeit mit dem blue Nil House ist sehr vorteilhaft. Sayed hat für uns alle Ausflüge hervorragend und zu fairen Preisen organisiert. Man kann zu jeder Mahlzeit warmes essen bestellen, dass ins Haus geliefert wird. Sehr schmackhaft und gesund.Wir waren vier Erwachsene und drei Kinder und alle haben es sehr genossen.

super mooi verblijf, rustig, veel privacy. boodschappen kunnen een uitdaging zijn maar dankzij hulp van het naastgelegen bleu house hotel waar een chauffeur met je boodschappen gaat doen goed te doen, je kunt ontbijt verkrijgen en inde buurt zijn lokale eetgelegenheden waar je een typische egyptische maaltijd kunt nuttigen. wil je naar de east bank? dan kun je voor 30,00 een busje huren die met je meegaat en je heen brengt waar je wilt. of als je avontuurlijker bent loop je naar de ferry en steekt net als de locals over voor 10 egp per persoon.Arlene staat ook steeds tot je beschikking als je vragen hebt. al met al wij gaan zeker nog een keertje terug!

Très belle maison agréable,, avec vue en direct sur le Nil. Les accès aux sites, à Louxor ou Karnak très simples, soit par taxi pour la rive ouest soit par bateau pour la rive est (5mn à pied du ponton). Du coup, le fait qu'elle soit un peu excentré n'est vraiment pas un problème.Excellent accueil de ABU, qui vous facilite la vie pour tous les besoins (courses, trouver un taxi,...) On apprécie la piscine après les visites ou ballades!. Je recommande.

Kharvilla ist ein grosszügiges, gepflegtes Haus; ruhig gelegen im Dorf "Djorf"

von Kharvilla aus lassen sich alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichen. hilfreich ist ein Mobiltelefon mit ägyptischer sim-card um ein Taxi, Tuctuc zur Fähre in Ramla oder ein Motorboot zu bestellen. Einkaufen kann man in Luxor; und die diversen Balkone und Terrassen laden ein zum Lesen, sitzen und schwatzen - oder einfach auf den Nil schauen - und Geniessen. der Swimmingpool ist hübsch; wenn man puncto Wassertemperatur nicht zu heikel ist kann man darin verweilen. sonst muss man den Aufenthalt in Luxor in einer Jahreszeit wählen, in der die Sonne das Wasser aufheizen kann. Abu, der "Manager" der Villa, und sein Bruder Sayyed stehen einem jederzeit und bei jedem Anliegen zur Seite.
