Southern Star Ranch is a beautiful ranch home surrounded by 15 acres high on top of a hill. The house is made of limestone rock that was brought in from Austin during construction. The home has 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and an executive office. The backyard is a country oasis that includes a large pool with rocks and waterfall and an outdoor covered entertainment and cooking pavilion. Covered porches with scenic views wrap around all sides of the house. The property also has a large fire pit near the pool and house. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. The property is fenced and has an automatic entrance gate. Gas and charcoal grills available for guests to use. Direct TV, outdoor TV, large TV's inside. Washer and dryer. This home is the perfect getaway from the city. Come enjoy peace of mind and country life at its finest.

Beautiful home, decor, surroundings, very peaceful and relaxing. Home is very spacious, comfortable furniture and beds. It was perfect for our adult family of 6. Almost everything you need is supplied. Definetely recommend and would stay again.

Southern 5-Star Ranch

Absolutely beautiful backyard with scenic view, pool, fire pit, grill and smoker. House was so clean and comfortable. Amazing beds and huge kitchen. Very convenient to Houston area or Brenham area. Easy to find but set aside in the quiet country. We will stay again!

Our stay was sweet, clean, comfortable, and relaxing! I packed everything I thought I’d need, and whatever I didn’t pack was available to us there. The beds were comfy and the night was breezy and calm. We definitely plan on returning next summer!!!

Beautiful and tranquil

The home is on a beautiful piece of land. It sits back off of the road like an estate. It had everything we needed. We enjoyed early mornings drinking coffee on the pool deck. We even seen a deer! Would definitely recommend. The host was so kind and accommodating. 5 out of 5 stars

Leadership Retreat

We love this place! This home is absolutely beautiful. We were met by the Owner's mom who was the absolute sweetest. She gave us a tour of the property and how everything works. We held a Leadership Retreat for our Leadership Team for the Black Heritage Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.The amenities and space were perfect. We will definitely be back with our family. The home was clean and if you forgot anything, trust me they have it! Thank you for an amazing weekend!

Outstanding!!!!

We arrived on Friday. We were met and given all the information we needed for a wonderful weekend. The house was spotless. The outdoor area, pool, pond, and kitchen were fabulous. Unless we were sleeping; or putting together a meal; we were outside the whole time. The house had everything you could possibly need. We have already planned our next trip back. Southern Star Ranch is truly a 5 star experience.

BBQ Pitmasters Outdoor Kitchen Paradise

This well-maintained property is truly a sight to behold. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for those anyone looking to grill or smoke some delicious meals. The side by side Oklahoma Joes smoker/gas grill/side burner combo was well maintained and worked perfectly. Everything down to the last detail was taken care of by the gracious owners, with top-end furniture and pristinely clean surroundings ensuring a pleasant stay. The fire pit was amazing well stocked and ready to use. There was even a little produce stand about a mile East on 290 with cheap firewood for sale after we used what was on site. The pool, even though the heater was broken at the time, was warm and extremely clean. We were excited about every day we spent here and it was difficult leaving at checkout time. We look forward to coming back soon!

Annual getaway with friends

We three 50-something women throw off our responsibilities for a week each summer and stay at this lovely ranch. This was year four for us. We spend hours in the pool, at the kitchen table, on the couches talking, eating, laughing. Getting away from it all is the point, and Southern Star Ranch offers us that.

Beautiful, Comfortable and Well-Appointed

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We appreciated the efficient air conditioning in the Texas summer heat. The outdoor spaces are incredible and the pool and outdoor kitchen are perfect for family gatherings. I highly recommend this property and will plan to stay here on future visits to the area.

Serenity

An amazing place to get away from it all. We swam 2-3 times a day, BBQ’d steaks, and enjoyed all this home had to offer. Close enough to go to Houston easily, or even the beach. The owners were great and easily contacted if there was a question. We will be back.

Absolutely Wonderful!

We had a great stay. The property is absolutely beautiful, and just secluded enough to be extraordinarily peaceful. The host was an absolute pleasure, very easy to communicate with. Her mother met us to show us around, and she was a total sweetheart. The home was immaculate! The home, the property and even every single dish and utensil. We’ve stayed at a lot of B-n-B properties, this was the cleanest by far. We would absolutely stay here again! We can’t wait until our travels bring us back to the Houston area!

Grandma trip

This is our third visit to this amazing property. Have traveled here with friends in past but this time brought 11 year old grand daughter. We had a great time. Wonderful views great pool and lots of fun. Great host and hostess . This is a great place to stay and we travel allot.

What an amazing property. My brother and I flew in for a family function. We were greeted by Madeline, who was great and gave us a quick tour of the property and made us feel welcome. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you may need for your stay. We found ourselves spending most of the time we were at the property in the outdoor space, the pool and outdoor kitchen are amazing.
