Located in Chappell Hill, this holiday home is in the city centre. Legendary Oaks Golf Course and Windy Winery are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Jackson Street Park and Toubin Park. The Bluebonnet House & Garden Center and Blue Bell Creameries are also worth visiting.
Lovely stay for three adults. Sitting outside in the Adirondack chairs, our app identified 14 different birds, including cardinals of course! Also saw deer in the tree line, and a friendly black dog named Thunder came to welcome us and then trotted back home. Location is quiet and dark for sleeping.
This place is value for the money. Everything that was an issue could happen at your home … so not a biggie to us. It was very clean. My only advice is, get there before it gets dark. Even though everything is labeled well, going in the light of day would be helpful. I would recommend to anyone on a budget.
We really enjoyed our stay! The house is great and very close to Main Street where there are great restaurants and some shopping. The host was very communicative. The beds were all super comfortable. We would stay here again!
This property is everything and more than we expected! We loved relaxing in the yard and using the fire pit. The home was clean and was well stocked, we will definitely be back!!
This was the perfect place for my husband & I to stay after a wedding at Hummingbird Hill. Very clean, cute country decor & a short drive to the wedding venue. Close to downtown Chapel Hill’s dining & shopping area as well. Great little getaway!
This is our 1st time staying near chappell hill and we are glad we chose this house. Management is very friendly, attentive, and very detailed with directions. Owner even went out of her way to get an iron and iron board when asked if they had one. She was super sweet. They are amazing. House was clean and it was super cute.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Come back and see us again!
The Cardinal House is a perfect little get away. Although less than a mile away from the main town it feels like you’re in the middle of the woods. Fully stocked and comfortable beds was a definite plus. The hosts were amazing and very accommodating. The only downside was leaving :). My mother in law loved the house so much that we are planning our next visit. I definitely recommend.
My husband, daughter and I stayed at Jay’s property for a quick weekend out of the city before school started. The property is so centrally located. We visited Brenham and Roundtop. The drive was easy between the house and the two towns. We enjoyed a relaxing evening out in the peaceful yard. The perfect getaway out of the big city.
Jay is a very communicative and responsive host.
My 14 year old loved the house and thought it was so cute!
Thanks for a great stay!!

Thanks so much for the kind words Felicidi! Come back soon!!
We came in town for a party and needed a place that allowed dogs for just one night. The house is nice and decorated cute. The listing should be adjusted. There are 2 rooms with beds but I would be clear that only one of them is an actual bedroom with a door for privacy. The second room only has 2 twin beds (not 3 like the listing says) and you have to walk through it to get to the main bedroom. Both rooms are upstairs which you have to go up a very narrow stairwell to get to. It was also much hotter upstairs. Firepit is a nice touch and would be fun to use on a cool night; however, 3 of t chairs are broken/cracked.
Very nice cozy stay, good amenities and close to a few nice local quality dinning, wine, and icehouse locations, And only about 10 min away from Brennon if you want more robust entertainment. Our driveway was a bit steep and we recommend you back into it. Maybe use a spotter on your first visit. Quiet at night and nestled into nature it has plenty of room to play, sit on the balcony, make a campfire, use the picknick tables, or snuggle inside the cottage with a movie. The full kitchen with supplies and an outdoor grill is nice if you like to create your own meals. The owner was helpful the morning of our checkout when we couldn't find the water switch to make the shower work. We had to pull the end of the water fossette in the tub. Not as obvious as it sounds. Not only would we recommend this location, we will probably return in the future with more guests.
Great place to relax and chill. Well stocked kitchen with modern appliances. Even though it rained, we saw plenty of Cardinals and Deer. Hosts are outstanding! We are looking forward to staying there again.
