A home-from-home cosy cottage tucked away in a lovely quiet spot, yet close to the amenities of the Mumbles and the rest of the Gower peninsula. Lovely sheltered back patio for enjoying the sunshine. It was kitted out with everything, and more, that we needed and the beds were very comfy. Paula, the host, was on the ball when the kettle died one afternoon. Amazon had delivered a new one by lunchtime the next day. From start to finish we had a lovely time here.
A wonderful little place to relax and use as a perfect base to explore the Gower. Clean and comfortable and great communication with the host. We shall be visiting again!
Location was excellent close to the Mumbles and coast path to bays along the Gower. The bungalow was situated in an unmade road with poholes. The property was a little "sad" and although mostly clean, it was not spotless.

Its sad that visitors can stay a week in this lovely, clean and comfortable bungalow and have nothing positive to say about it.
Had a lovely break, been to the mumbles for years when my children were little we stayed at caswell bay so ( 25 years ) so me and my wife took our disable brother for a short 5 day break, the bungalow was awesome, very clean, very cosy, all the facilities, just like at home, in a nice quiet area but a bonus as my brother loves planes we were right next to a flight path of the local jets, what a result, he could sit out the back and watch them :-), there is nothing bad to say about this and WILL defiently be booking again, thats how good it was.
This was a short break, meeting friends, attending a concert, and this little bungalow was ideal, exactly what I needed. Very quiet peaceful location, beautifully clean, and very well equipped. Close to restaurants in Bracelet Bay, and Limeslade, and a short drive to the centre of Mumbles with even more choice! I loved the little patio, very pleasant to sit out and relax. Had friends over for refreshments, they were very impressed! Would love to stay again. X
We had a great break in the cottage. Although compact it was plenty adequate for 2 adults and a 6 year old. We mainly ate out but the kitchen appeared to have all that was needed if cooking at home. The area was quiet although The Mumbles was busy. We had the gift of a bottle of wine and Pringles waiting for us on arrival. Thank you.
Ìt was a lovely bungalow nice and clean. I enjoyed my stay with my dog Jessie as we done lots of walking as much as we could because of the weather being very hot.

It was my pleasure to host such a lovely group of friends. Hope you’ll be visiting again.
Small bungalow but had everything we needed. Wine and crisps a welcome touch! Had a lovely stay in spite of weather..rain everyday. Short walk into town which was lovely to explore. Good communication with owner. Would recommend.
Cottage well equipped everything you could need, good location for local walks, including the coast path and after a short steep decline good level walk all the way to Swansea via Mumbles, plenty of places to eat, if your feeling fit, regular buses ( 2 and 2A from Plunch lane and 3 A from the lighthouse car park) if you don't want to drive, just remember the 2 & 2A ( Sunday) only go one way in a circular route, that is down Plunch Lane and not up. Sun passe right over the cottage so plenty of chances to take in the sun. All in all great cottage.
The bungalow was fairly basic but comfortable.
It took a bit of time to find! It's not obvious!
It had everything we needed, jncluding a welcome bottle of wine and biiscuits. (Thank you)
The beautiful Gower coastal path and Mumbles itself were in easy reach.
Our weather wasn't too good but we were able to visit relatives and friends who lived close by.
Bungalow fine and had all mod cons
We were lucky with weather but not quite warm enough to sit on patio which was a good thing as there were builders there every morning in a neighbouring house which overlooked our view - I understand building work had to happen but I would not have felt comfortable sat there with the workmen - great walks with dog once we had established best beaches - of which there are many
Could do with maybe a Places to Visit / Pubs etc in the bungalow - we did manage but think it’s a useful thing to have a bit of What to do / Whereto go in places we stay
Would go back to this area and bungalow - stunning scenery
Best suited to couple with children due to the bunk beds, but we knew this prior to booking.
Limeslade is above the Mumbles proper, but still a great location.
We were fortunate enough to enjoy the last of the roses. Very nice to unpack with the lovely scent.
Appreciated that there was salt and pepper provided, and some sweets, very nice touch.
We didn’t have to add to the electric meter. No big deal to bring our bath towels, smaller ones provided.
Mumbles is the furthest east of the Gower Peninsular so it was nice to bypass that in order to get to all the other great places to explore.
I do recommend this charming bungalow, and it was equipped for everything reasonably expected to make simple meals. However bring a sharp knife as I always do!!!
Unable to lock back door throughout stay ! So no trips out ,no walks,no visiting family! Afraid to leave property unlocked ! My daughter came over on Boxing Day and she could not lock the door .
Property otherwise was great but this lack of maintenance ruined our break .Also front door key very hard to get in lock ! This property needs a lock smith urgently .Texted owner as we about to leave early today to advice back door unlocked but no reply to our message as per 4 pm today …we left at 8.20 this morning which is time of message .
All in all a miserable Xmas .

This visitor says they were housebound during the entirety of their stay due to faulty locks on both front and back doors. They made this complaint on their departure, not once did they contact me regarding their difficulty with the doors during their stay. My cleaner after they had gone checked the doors at my request, she found no fault, I visited the next day and found no fault. I cannot understand how anyone can feel themselves unable to leave a property because they can't lock the doors without contacting the owner. Had they done this I would have responded immediately with a visit to the property. There has been no issue from any other guests in this regard.

A bit disappointing
The bungalow is actually in Limeslade, not Mumbles. The shortest walk into town (10 mins) isn't obvious and is v steep. The place was very clean, bed comfy and with nice garden seating areas. However it is hemmed in by other houses, so you hear all the neighbours. There wasn't enough crockery or kitchen knives (1 plus bread knife) and wasn't stocked for real cooking. Other items were well supplied, such as loo rolls, kitchen towel, cleaning materials. Bedding is provided, but not bath towels, I'm not sure why? We found the £15 electricity credit adequate, but one wouldn't in winter. There were useful maps and leaflets, but no instructions for TV, Smart speaker, Cooker or Air Fryer. I texted the owner with a minor issue, but got no response.

A very disappointing review. The address sent to visitors makes clear the property is in Limeslade which is part of Mumbles. The other issues raised we will address. It is very important to us that visitors enjoy their stay at Gower Bungalow and great effort is made to that end. We always respond immediately to visitor concerns or queries. On this occasion I apologise to the visitor but I have no record of him having sent me a text.

I am now retired having worked mainly in the public sector. I live for many years in London but came back to Wales over 25 years ago and have felt to be on holiday ever since. It is very important to me that guests enjoy what I try to make an affordable and comfortable stay in my 3 different holiday properties. Dogs I welcome provided they are never left alone and are fully house trained.
