Blue Lizard Cottage 1 - Walk/Bike Downtown&Beach

1920's Renovated Tropical Cottage with lots of charm in the heart of downtown Lake Worth Beach "Where the Tropics Begin". We are in a walkable, bike-friendly location a mile or so away from the beach, and just a few blocks from cute shops, restaurants, bars & special events. We are in very close proximity to Downtown West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Island, PBI Airport, and the new Brightline train station. We look forward to welcoming you in our lovely 1-bedroom 1-bathroom cottage. The space: A renovated 1-bedroom 1-bathroom sunlit 1926 cottage including all necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable and feeling at home. It includes a full size kitchen, living room/dining room area, and a private back patio. It is full of natural light and airy tropical spaces.
It sleeps 4 comfortably with 1- Queen bed in one bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room (extra air mattress and/or pack-n-play available on request).

It shares a courtyard with another cottage in the front of the property ("Blue Lizard Cottage 2"- 2-bedroom 1-bathroom). If interested in booking both listings, please check for availability or message us with any questions.

The courtyard is a little tropical oasis with mango trees, palms, hammock, tables, chairs, bbq grill perfect to enjoy a sunny day or an evening under the moonlight.

We provide beach towels in the closet. Contact us for additional amenities such as beach chairs, cooler, snorkeling gear and we can bring them prior to or during your stay. There are two bicycles available, please keep covered and locked when put away or taken out. There are bike shops down the street for extra rentals and accessories such as helmets etc. Also enjoy Echo Dot with Alexa as an amenity available in the living room for your relaxation, news, reminders etc.

The property is named "Blue Lizard" not for the tropical blue iguana, but because the host's background is from the island of Capri in Italy. It is a symbol of the island and special to our family. Fun fact information about the Blue Lizard (Podarcis sicula coerulea) The Lucertola Azzurra or Blue Lizard is one of a list of reptiles which populate the Island of Capri. Noteworthy characteristics are its blue scales "like the sea and the sky of Capri" and its habitat, which is restricted to the Faraglioni stacks and the Monacone stump.

Amazing Cottage Experience

This is a adorable cozy 1920’s cottage that has been totally rehabbed. Super cute, close to everything and has everything you need. And, the owners have thought of everything. I’m only hesitant to give a great review as I hope it is still available whenever we come back.

Exceeded our expectations!

We spent 5 nights in this absolutely charming cottage. We hated to leave! From the moment we arrived we were pleasantly surprised! We stayed in the rear cottage that has a wonderful layout and perfectly decorated. The complete kitchen has everything needed to cook, including sharp knives! The back patio was so pleasant for coffee and checking emails in the morning. The courtyard between the 2 cottages was our favorite place to hang out. The landscaping, picnic table and Adirondack chairs made for evenings spent outside. The cottage has a lovely living room with comfortable furniture, large dining table, bathroom with large shower and great water pressure, bedroom with plenty of storage. Hooks and perfectly placed benches and entry tables allowed for storage of all travel "stuff". Hosts of this cottage were equally as wonderful! We did not have any issues with the cottage, but asked for recommendations for restaurants and biking, etc. Highly recommend this rental!
