WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

Check-in is after 3 PM. Check-out is before 10 AM.

A rental agreement is required with ID verification within 48 hours of booking or before entry, whichever is first.

Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels.

Guests not staying overnight are welcomed. Loud, disruptive parties are not.

Maximum 4 vehicles- ABSOLUTELY NO STREET PARKING.

No Boat Trailers allowed. Additional parking and/or trailer drop is located 10 minutes away at no cost.

BYO Life Vests HIGHLY encouraged to ensure proper size.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Lock the doors
Return lake toys where you found them.
We ask that you start a load of used towels since they take the longest to dry. You do not have to wait for them to finish.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Rental agreement must be signed prior to arrival. This includes an ID upload. Renter must be at least 25 years old on arrival date to book.
Accurate guest count is required. Permission is required for visitors.
Absolutely no smoking of any kind indoors including but not limited to all tobacco products and marijuana. $100 charge for smoke odor.

We had the best time at Lookout at the Lake for a family getaway. The grands (ages 8 and 10) loved the sleeping loft. We kept the 3 year old on the main level because the stairs to the loft were steep. Other beds were very comfortable and showers were hot, kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook with. The dock and kayaks were used every day along with some provided floats. Very easy to get to the lake…just walk out the door. The fire pit was great and we made s’mores each night. We rented a boat on the last day and it was delivered straight to the dock. We hope we get to come back again! 10/10 experience!

This home was everything we hoped for with our annual summer vacation with our four grandchildren ages 10-16. We were able to dock our rented pontoon at an easily accessible dock. We tubed, swam and fished. The home was clean and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Allison was an excellent communicator for our few questions. I would highly recommend this property for family fun on the Lake of Egypt. I would recommend that handrails be added for the many stairs. It’s a challenge for senior citizens. Thank you for a wonderful stay with our grandchildren. Many memories were created.

Really neat place

We really enjoyed the stay. The house is a little dated and we were surprised when we figured out that the bunk room is accessed by a ladder basically but everything was great.

Work Retreat

Awesome lake house

Long weekend with family

House and view are clean and lovey view of the lake. Kayaks provided were key point for our family so everyone could go out on the lake. Beds were comfortable. Great communication from host.

Great time away at the lake

It was a great place to get away. Lots of time kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake. Neat lake with lots of bays to explore. The house had everything we needed. Allison was great and very responsive to our questions.

Little Egypt

Our family enjoyed the location and lake! The older grandkids had fun fishing and swimming. The lily pad was awesome! The house had all that we needed. The deck and outdoor space were lovely.
