About the host
Hosted by Kris Shellabarger

We love our own log cabin on the lake so much that we built another one to share with others. Our guests loved the log cabin so much that we built a tiny cabin on the lake, a treehouse and a 3 bedroom, 2 bath lake home to share with guests as well. We spend much of the summer boating, fishing and swimming during the day and sitting around the fire at night. We also love to check out the local farmer's markets and wineries and sometimes hit the antique stores. In the winter, it is so cozy and we love to hike and catch up on a good book.
Why they chose this property
We wanted to buy in Colorado because of the night sky. The Lake of Egypt sky was just the same but much closer to home. On many nights, we can see the milky way. There is not a lot of light pollution and to watch the sky and a bonfire is so much better than anything we could watch on TV!
What makes this property unique
We are directly on the Lake of Egypt and offer a canoe, kayaks, paddleboards and a paddleboat to enjoy. Also there are fishing poles and fun fishing right off the dock. The sky is amazing and our property is at the end of the street and very private.
