Welcome to Meade Manor! Cozy yet spacious, this historic home is just 1 block from Lawrence University and downtown Appleton. Enjoy charming woodwork, leaded glass built-ins, refinished hardwood floors, and a bright sunroom. Walk to parks, restaurants, coffee shops, and the Fox River trail. Drive to Green Bay/Lambeau in just 30 minutes or be in Oshkosh for EAA in 20 minutes. With 4 bedrooms (3 queens, 2 twins), plus a ping-pong table and dartboard in the garage, this is your perfect home base.

MAIN FLOOR
• Kitchen: Spacious kitchen that is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a great meal, including small appliances like a blender and crockpot. No dishwasher.
• Living Room: Sofa, two chairs, and a padded ottoman to put your feet up on. 50" TV with streaming capabilities (BYO passwords) and refinished hardwood floors.
• Dining Room: Dining table seats 8 and is surrounded by beautiful built-in cabinets and a cozy window seat
• Entry: Hooks to hang your coats and bags and plenty of room for shoes
• Sun Room: Enjoy your morning coffee while relaxing in the beautiful, light-filled sun room
• Half Bath: Bathroom with a toilet and sink.

UPPER LEVEL
• 4 bedrooms, all with memory foam mattresses, sound machines, and bedside phone charging stations
• 3 queen beds, 2 twin beds
• Full bathroom with tub/shower combination.
• Toys, books, and a chalkboard for young children

LOWER LEVEL
• Washer and dryer. Detergent is provided, along with an iron and ironing board.

OUTDOORS
• Garage with ping-pong table and dart board (available seasonally as garage is not heated)
• Paved patio area with an outdoor dining table
• Driveway parking for 4 vehicles
• Spacious back yard
• Playground across the street

WHAT WE PROVIDE
• Shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash are available in refillable containers as we do our part to help the environment. Guests are welcome to supply their own toiletries if desired.
• Laundry detergent.
• Coffee, creamer, and sugar are available, however we highly recommend checking out one of Appleton's local coffee shops like Copper Rock Coffee Company while you are in town.

LONG TERM STAYS
• Interested in staying for more than 30 days? Reach out for long-term pricing. Note that a separate lease may be required through our company, Home Base Rentals, LLC, to protect both of us. Stays of 30 days or more also have a cleaning fee of $225.

Pets are NOT allowed.

This house is located in a family neighborhood so noise level must be kept to a minimum. We also stay here often with our own children when we are visiting family in town. If you are looking for a party home or are disrespectful to other people's property, this is not the right place for you.

No check in/out on the following days: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day

This adorable house has been upgraded in the bathrooms and kitchen, it’s blocks away from College Avenue, and was able to comfortably fit my family of 4+ my parents. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend this house.

Perfect place for our family!

We came to Appleton for our oldest daughter's graduation from Lawrence. This VRBO was absolutely perfect as a gathering space for our 80+ grandparents and our kids, and the location could not have been better. We could just walk over to all the festivities throughout the weekend. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and with all the amenities -- the beds were excellent and the shared living space was spacious and welcoming. Highly recommend!

A home away from home

VERY clean & spacious home with stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Check in was a breeze & owner is pleasant. Liked that the home wasn't decorated with fragile items and had toys & books for kids. Was able to do laundry on site which is always appreciated when you have children. Check out was simple and required little time or effort. Would definitely stay here again!

The place was great l! We went up there for a music festival and the host, Amy, was so kind. She sent us a list of some of their favorite spots around town. And when we accidentally broke the coffee pot, she was more thatn understanding. Can't recommend this property and hist enougg!

Great homebase for a bowling team

Our group of 8 stayed at this property because we were in town for a bowling tournament. There were 5 bowlers and 3 significant others. The house was big enough that we had our individual spaces but we could all hang out in the living room/dining room to eat, play cards, watch football, etc. The kitchen served our needs very well, and the location was great. The house has so much character with the amazing woodwork and craftsmanship throughout the home.

When our kids have breaks from school you can find us in Door County, Wisconsin, on a lake in northern Wisconsin, visiting family in Florida, or spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains. We enjoy going for bike rides, hanging out on our front porch in the summer, eating ice cream and spending lots of time with family and friends.
