The newest addition to our campground, this private site makes life simple and easy! Includes very comfy Queen size bed, well equipped kitchenette (including frig, microwave, infrared cooktop, sink and a nice bartop), cozy living area with wi-fi streaming tv; all these amenities and more make this the place to be before and after a hike or bike ride in nearby (3 miles) Dupont State Forest. This is a beautiful little room for your rest and relaxation. Step out onto the covered patio area and look down over the garden toward Crab Creek and the mountains beyond. Throw a burger or a steak on the provided gas grill! No longer does the "Hidden Treasure" share shower and porta-jon with the campground! Now fully self-contained with an addition including Separett composting toilet and re-tiled shower! We have done all we know to make this a comfortable and memorable stay for you. Every bit of our cozy bungalow is constructed from recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials, and hand-made into a home-away-from-home just for you!

Weekend retreat

They made the process super easy. The place was clean and the bed was comfy! Super close to the park making it super quick to get to the falls I wanted to hike. Location is fantastic to get to Hendersonville or Brevard if you want to eat out.

Cozy cabin with a great location!

My fiancé and I spent a couple days here and had a great time! The cabin was clean and cozy, and it’s just a short drive into town or to some of the best hiking trails around.

Cozy glamping experience

Tiny home away from home

Scott was right there to meet us when we arrived, gave us the lay of the land and a brief history of the campground. Enjoyed meeting him and the time he took to welcome us. House was perfect, bed was very comfortable, clean and peaceful!

A Cozy Cottage in a Great Location

The Hidden Treasure cottage was perfect for us. It's a quirky gem on an unusual property but has everything one needs. It has been thoughtfully appointed with the necessities and was perfectly clean. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to the creek. We enjoyed it, and the beautiful area, so much we've already booked our next stay.

The place was great and the setup was well thought out inside and tasteful. The only minus was the proximity to a busy road. For the money it was excellent.

This property has now been in the family for four generations. We have been SO BLESSED by the hundreds of gracious guests we have been privileged to host, both in our campground and our Hidden Treasure!

Why they chose this property

This little bungalow started out as a boat shed, 8 posts and a roof. My husband worked for many years as a carpenter, building homes in the area. He began salvaging materials headed for the landfill until one day, they came together as a woodworking shop which he utilized for several years. Then, one day, when he realized he had no time for his hobby, he transformed the "shop" into this lovely little bungalow! All recycled, reclaimed and repurposed materials and fixtures come together in this jewel of a luxurious "campsite" JUST FOR YOU! Very private and special hideaway.
