A Point Of View is a getaway with an amazing view. of the rolling wooded hills of Brown County. Whether visiting in the Spring, Summer, Fall or even the Winter, the vistas are breath-taking.

Anyone who chooses this two-bedroom retreat will surely return home feeling refreshed. Open, airy, and in harmony with nature, Point Of View provides a comfortable place to reconnect with friends and family. Located just about three miles from Nashville, and a couple miles from Bean Blossom, the driveway winds through the trees then reveals a multi-windowed abode.

A gas fireplace anchors the living room, and a sofa and several chairs gather around it to make socializing fun. A fully-equipped kitchen with dining area lets you prepare a feast, or simply gives you room for the spread of take-out pizza and pulled pork nachos. Or, enjoy dinner outside.

The master bedroom has a king bed and a bathroom. The second bedroom has a king bed. and a bathroom. There is also a and a queen sleeper to ensure that everybody has ample room for sleeping, showering and getting ready for attending a play, concert, or movie at the Brown County Playhouse.

As you probably already know, Brown County State Park, Yellowwood State Forest, and Lake Lemon are features not to be missed when visiting Brown County, and Point Of View is well-situated to all of them. When you get back from whatever activities you’ve chosen to enjoy, you’ll take great pleasure in a soak in the hot tub. or giving the deck chairs and outdoor charcoal grill a workout. Sit back and enjoy the view!

Satellite TV will keep you updated on what’s going on in the news “out in the real world” (as if you’ll really care, right?)… or maybe you’d prefer to see your favorite sports team battle their rivals. Great stay

We had a very short time to stay as we were at the racetrack most of the time on Friday and didn’t make it in until Saturday morning since races ran until sunrise however it’s in a quaint area and beautiful surroundings.

graduation weekend

Beautiful view over the hills! The hot tub was a terrific place to spend the afternoon relaxing. About a 30 minute drive to Bloomington. Also spent a day in Nashville three minute drive, many shops and restaurants to pick from!

Gorgeous view, but a bit of work.

This place has an amazing view and the hot tub was great! I should have paid more attention to the photos as we had to put up a lot of the decor because of our infant. The only down side is the extensive check-out process will have you wondering why you had to pay a cleaning fee.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Point of View. It certainly has a spectacular view! Most our cabins are individually owned and all are decorated by the owners tastes. Probably not a consideration as to the children, but most who stay here rave about the decor. We are sorry you thought we had you do too much before you left. It is just a few things ( strip beds leaving at foot of bed, clean and put away your used dishes and gather your trash, put all used towels in one tub/shower.), we didn't have you do nearly what the cleaners have to do to get the cabin ready for the next guests. We do hope you will book with us for your next visit.

nice stay with some small disappointments

2nd bedroom has no where to hang clothes. not happy that we were not notified of the tree falling on the deck until we were 15 minutes away. i know the owner is a decorator but there was way too much stuff sitting everywhere. lots of antiques. made us alittle uncomfortable.

The place was great, the beds not so much

Overall the place was great. We were there for a mountain biking and it had all that we needed and was close to the trails. The hot tub was perfect after a long bike ride, and the table outside was great to dine on while watching the sun set over the valley. Such a great view! The only issue was the beds. None were comfortable, sagged in the middle and made a good nights sleep a bit of a challenge.

Girls Trip!!

The cabin was beautiful and very clean. Very secluded and the hot tub was the perfect end to a busy day. Julie in the office was wonderful with helping when I called first thing Saturday morning with an animal needing help. She sent the maintenance men out (who are volunteer firefighters) to help get the animal to safety. Everything with this trip was amazing. The only thing I would like them to change is to put keypads on the cabins, so people do not have to drive down those unfamiliar roads so far out of the way just to pick up a key out of a lockbox.

Disappointing

Property appeared run down, nothing like the pictures. Deck was worn down, outside metal tables and chairs were all rusted, didn't want to sit in them. Table under patio was worn and dirty, chairs for the table were worn out. The outside fan finally worked but the light kit was busted off and exposed, not safe. Very dirty. Hot tub wasn't that clean, only few buttons worked. Inside was very cluttered with farm decorations and clutter was dusty. All vents were full of dust. Kitchen cabinets very dated and the drawers almost fell to the ground when opened. King size beds were very worn down. Location and view were awesome.

Hi Rick, we want to thank you for staying with us and do hope your enjoyed your time here in our beautiful town and county. we did go to this cabin after reading your review to see what could be done about the issues you spoke of in your review. All our cabins are individually owned and are decorated by the preference of that owner. This cabin is owned by an interior decorator and her tastes. We did check for dust and although the decor was very clean the vents did need to be dusted. We will let the owner know that the master bedroom mattress may need to be replaced, and we will find a light bulb and globe to go on the outdoor fan. As to the rusty deck furniture, it is outside in the weather year round and if you painted it every year there will probably be rust on it. Other than that, they were in good condition and safe to use. The table on the porch is supposed to look old and worn and were not dirty. The deck need to be stained and again we will pass that on to the owner. The hot tub buttons have been abused by many guest and the ones are working that controls the jets, but the light button has been disconnected. We did not think it was at all dirty but the sides do have stains from the water. When you are ready to come back we can help you find a cabin more to your liking.
