About this property

Looking to stay in downtown Nashville?

When the Buffalo Nickel owners remodeled the property, they discovered old copies of the Indianapolis Star Newspaper used as insulation. The age of the newspapers prompted further research of the property, and they found that one of the earliest residents was a woman whose father settled in Brown County around the turn of the century. They discovered the woman's most prized possessions were two small nickels her father made upon first settling. The woman shared this story with her local paperboy, showing him the nickels to teach a lesson about hard work. Thus, the name Buffalo Nickel was adopted.

Buffalo Nickel is located on the north end of Nashville, giving visitors a view of downtown from the 300-square-foot deck with an overhanging black locust tree. The cabin comes with a full kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area, and hot tub. In the living room, guests will find a queen sleeper sofa. The bathroom comes with a custom shower and access to the deck where guests will find the hot tub. The private bedroom also comes with a queen bed. Additionally, guests can relax in front of the two 32" televisions. Buffalo Nickel accommodates 2–4 people.

Clean and comfortable
We stayed in Nashville for our son’s IU graduation. This was a great little spot. Bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed. Very Clean. If I ever make it back to Nashville, I’ll stay again.

Exceeded expectations
Every detail in the cottage was awesome. From the precious decor to the perfect cleanliness to the attention to detail on necessities, to the hot tub, we were wowed. The location was ideal, with easy walking to everything but little to no foot traffic at the cottage, and plenty of privacy and quiet. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us, and very comfortable. Great bed and bedding, great AC and heat (yes, we needed both in late April!), and more. Very nice touch to have Sinatra playing on the music player when we arrived, with chocolates, popcorn and water waiting for us. We've already recommended to others and will be back!
