This rustic lodge is just the place to call home for your next family vacation or a relaxing getaway with friends. The wood accents and high ceilings create an airy atmosphere while still keeping a traditional cabin ambiance. The wood-burning fireplace is perfect for reading a book by with a cup of hot chocolate and the expansive deck complete with a hot tub looks out to the lush foliage that this area is famous for. Exploring outdoors is a blast here, yet inside also has a plethora of activities like playing pool, watching a movie, or playing some classic video games on the arcade console. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make memorable meals and it has bar seating at the island to make preparing a meal a time to visit with loved ones as well.

My family had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, well maintained, and fully equipped for all our needs. There are fun towns to explore and hikes in the surrounding area, and when we stayed in we got to enjoy the game room and the hot tub. It was also great to find a property that was so dog friendly.

Mountain getaway

This was the best rental experience we’ve ever had. The property was clean and had everything we needed, the communication was excellent, and the check in and check out process was simple and straightforward. The house itself is well maintained and fully equipped with everything we needed for staying in and making meals. The location was quiet but close enough to activities we enjoyed. It was also great that the property was dog friendly and very accommodating, as we love to travel with our dogs.

Great cabin

Great place! Clean, plenty of room and easy to get to. Loved the basement/ game room and hot tub. Unfortunately the King bed was very used and uncomfortable.

Wonderful House

We had a great time at this house. It has everything you need from nice Game Room to Hot Tub and lots of space. House was very clean and check-in process was easy. Its well appointed and property managers have provided plenty of information about the house and what to do in the area via welcome book. Drive up to the house is a bit bumpy, but it was no problem for our car. Will definitely try to come back.

Lovely Location to Unwind!

We loved your home! It provided the perfect location to unwind and get away from our hectic everyday. We found it to be clean, cozy, warm and inviting with a great layout.. We loved the fireplace, the views and the downstairs game room. The property is in close proximity to Main St Blue Ridge and other surrounding towns for exploring. Plenty of hiking and outdoor fun. We look forward to visiting again!

I planned this get away for my boyfriends 45th birthday. The cabin is located perfectly for seclusion, peace & quite. If you want to unplug, this is a wonderful place to do it. Although WiFi is included, you will be hard pressed for cell service. If I could change anything, is I would make sure pest control is up to date. We saw and killed a few roaches inside. There were a few scorpions downstairs in the game room….it also would have been nice to have had dedicated towels for the hot tub as well. Overall it was a great stay for what we were looking for.

Relaxing mountain getaway

We had a wonderful stay at Sophie's retreat the past 5 days. The home and the view were spectacular. We took advantage of all of the amenities, including the game room and the hot tub. Our dogs had a great time too. The road to the property is rocky and crossing a small creek is required, so we would recommend coming in a Jeep or SUV. Also, be sure to map your plans for the day before leaving the house, because reception is limited between Mineral Bluff and the parks and waterfalls in and around Blue Ridge. We'd recommend making the 15-minute ride to downtown Blue Ridge for gifts and restaurants, especially Fightingtown Tavern, visiting the Swinging Bridge over the Toccoa River and a hike to Fall Branch Falls. And the Ingles grocery store is in Blue Ridge too, for picking up anything you need for staying and eating in. Thanks for everything!

Great house/terrible entrance

The house itself was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had everything that it advertised plus more. My negatives are that nowhere on the listing does it say that you will drive on a very narrow, very rough, washed out road that only has room for one vehicle (just barely), with limbs dragging your vehicle the entire way in order to get to the cabin. I received the message below one day from my arrival time. It was too late to back out. What if the only vehicle I had was a car? As it stood, my parents and myself had just purchased new SUVs that we were not happy about driving in and out of that road, having limbs dragged down the sides and every time I crossed the “creek” and exited the road my Pathfinder bottomed out hitting the trailer hitch on the gravel. Now my wires are exposed. I feel as though the below message is a bit vague, but even still if that’s all they feel is necessary they should at least include it in the actual advertisement so that people can make an informed decision before booking with them. Additional info: Guests should not tow large items (RVs, trailers, boats, etc.) due to backcountry roads that are not always passable. The drive is a little rough but does not require four-wheel drive. You will have to cross a small creek and there are several dips. An SUV or pickup is recommended.

Our Thanksgiving!

This cabin was the perfect size for the 7 of and our dog! The provided wood for the inside fireplace was so appreciated! We had plenty of cookware to make an entire Thanksgiving meal! Wifi and reception was pretty good except in basement(spotty). Basement was a little chilly compared to upstairs(so bring an extra blanket). Thankfully, We had had extra blankets with us for snuggles on the couch or porch. We did buy bigger/thicker towels to use for the hot tub(which was hot after the maintenance man showed us how to work it) as there was basically one thin shower towel for each person. The location was perfect..far enough into the mountains but close to everything by short drive. We had an incredible relaxing 5 nights and it was just what we needed!! Also..lol...read your driving instructions before you get there to know it's ok to drive across the creek.

I spent my birthday weekend there the place was amazing we got some show that made even better. Thank u Sophia retreat everything was there for our comfort the place was very clean I would recommend this place 100% only problem I had why I gave it a 4.5 star is that it was very hard to find the place it was very dark when we got there signal is really bad so I would recommend u all need a couple large signs alone the way the street signs are not enough it is way too dark worst it was showing day time great but for night it’s way too hard to find

Great getaway for the whole fam!

Loved most everything about this place besides the fact that the owners/managers of the property left previously voiced concerns as they were instead of fixing “simple” problems. Someone mentioned the property could use a good spring cleaning and they weren’t lying. Nothing major but found crumbs in the sheets of one of the beds (obviously hadn’t been changed since the previous renters had been there and no extra sets of sheets were available. Because of the late check in there was no time to run a load of sheets and get them dry before kids had to go to bed. Luckily we had at least brought our own pillows!) A couple of dead bugs and wrappers of some sort and some cobwebs (mostly downstairs) left us questioning what, if anything, had been actually cleaned. (We were refunded our cleaning fee but these are basic needs/requirements especially due to Covid.) The oven is also not functioning properly (takes a LONG time to heat and therefore cook things.) Other than these minor things, the cabin was quite perfect! Comfortable furniture and beds. Plenty of bathrooms/bathroom space. Great gas grill. Fireplace was wonderful. The fire pit looked amazing and so did the outside furniture on the porches- unfortunately our weather didn’t permit much outside “hang time.” The cabin is “remote” but only 25 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge or Murphy, NC. And only a 5 minute drive to Appalachian Trail Rides! Loved that we were able to bring our pups. We even met some neighbors with friendly pups. Overall a great place to stay.

Wonderful Getaway

All in all my wife, two golden retrievers and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin is located in a beautiful location with wonderful privacy. A well equipped cabin with lots of amenities. Large wrap around deck, new grill, well stocked kitchen, many games on the lower level, spacious. The only issue we had was with the living room furniture the couch is definitely due for an upgrade and the easy chair was not that comfortable. Also neither tub held water so baths were not on the menu.
