Charming mountain cabin with an amazing view. Roomy enough for three couples and convenient to downtown Blue Ridge. A bargain at the price. Would definitely go back.

Cabin in Blue Ridge
This is a nice cabin. It was very clean on our arrival and had everything we needed. However, the water had a bad smell and the fireplace smoked a lot though the flue was wide open,

Unfortunately, these issues were not mentioned during the guest's stay, so that they could be addressed sooner. The cabin is on a whole house water treatment system, which was apparently malfunctioning. Maintenance has addressed this issue. Unfortunately, if the furnace and fireplace are operating at the same time, the "intake" is almost right across from the fireplace, so it will draw smoke into the room, unless fire is kept at the very back of the fireplace.
The cabin was nice, as advertised. Would bring something with 4 wheel drive if its snowing or ice. A few bugs inside but nothing serious being in a mountain cabin in the woods

Very comfortable and homey stay!
We had a great stay. The kids loved outdoors and the room set up with the bunk beds. They also loved having their own TV in their bedroom when it’s time to wind down.
The cabin made us feel at home with amenities that made our stay stress free especially getting there late at night. The cabin was also a very easy access to hiking, waterfalls and downtown Blue Ridge.
Overall, we would definitely stay at this cabin again if given a chance!

We had a great time. It was pretty relaxing. The hot tub wasn't heating and the heat wasn't working but we made it work. Other than that everything was great.

Glad you had a relaxing time. Unfortunately the hot tub was left in "sleep mode" , and won't heat well in that mode. It has since been reset to standard operating mode, and is heating fine.

The timing of the power outage was indeed unfortunate, and there is no backup generator at the cabin. It is, however, equipped with a fireplace, available firewood, flashlights, and candles. Tri-state Electric did an awesome job of getting the power back on by 12:20 the following day, despite a fallen tree having knocked out the substation supplying that area of Blue ridge. Unfortunately, the guests could not be reached by phone, text, or email to let them know the power was back on.
Had a great time at the cabin ! It was as pictured and everything was as listed . The hot tub took several hours to heat up - and I mean several like overnight til next evening to be warm and not chilly. It is kept at 80 degrees which is probably great in summer but winter /fall prob keeping at 90 so heating to 100 isn’t such a long time frame . But other than that we had a great time and thankful we were staying several days so one nights inconvenience wasn’t a deal breaker . We would come back ! Host was super helpful with all questions and responds in a timely manner :)

Glad you had a wonderful time. I have recommended that Housekeeping reset the default temp on the hot tub to 90 after refilling it so it doesn't take so long to heat up. Please come see us again soon!

Trip with my adult sons-had a good time.
The property was just as described in listing, except there was no dishwasher. Basement bedroom has some sort of a sump pump that ran intermittently during night which took some getting used to. The basement was also “buggy.” Yes, I know we were in the woods, but typically inside a dwelling bug life should be curtailed. Kitchen: would recommend owner provide some microwaveable dishes and dinner plates. All dinnerware was plastic (marked as Not microwave safe). Silverware was great for toddlers and children, but “weak” for adults.

The guests obviously missed the dishwasher under the counter next to the sink. It's small, but definitely present. Admittedly bugs are a constant problem in the woods, but glad guests otherwise had a good time.
We loved how this cabin had so many different activities; combo table with ping pong, pool, shuffle board; foosball; dart board; puzzles; books; board games; hot tub; fire pit; porch swing; outdoor dining table and chairs. It was very clean upon our arrival including the hot tub. For some reason though, some of the dishes had some light smudge type marks which we could clean easy enough, but we ended up having to clean almost every plate and bowl before being able to use it. Not a biggie, but just a mentionable. The hot tub was in sleep mode apparently and took almost 24 hours to heat up, so be sure you know how to operate it for best performance. Otherwise it was a nice hot tub with jets and lights. The water still had a hard water mineral smell, but I let the owner know that the water treatment system was alerting that salt was needed to the system. Hope

Glad you enjoyed your stay! I had the plumber come and address the water treatment system alert, so that is working well now. I will certainly mention the dishes to housekeeping. The spots may have been due to the water treatment system not working properly at the time.

Cozy cabin
My family and I stayed here for the weekend. There were a few things that I did not care for during our stay.
1. The toilet would not refill with water, and sometimes not flush at all. (My husband did something and got it working.)
2. The dishwasher did not work (not a huge deal, because I have plenty of dishwashers in my children.)
3. The game room is on the lower level, along with the "third bedroom," but you only have access to it from outside. I did not know that upon booking, but it's also possible I overlooked or misunderstood it in the description.
4. The thermostat was hidden behind a wall hanging. (Again, not a huge deal except to ME, because I'm always cold and I needed immediate heat when we entered.)
All that being said, I'm still giving this 5 stars. We had smores by the fire pit, my husband made burgers and chicken on the grill, we had some quiet time in the hot tub, and we saw a horse and carriage go by several times. While the above list might have not been to MY liking, the owner was still very nice when I spoke to her, and my husband and children all had a great time! That is ALL that matters to me. So thank you Elizabeth for opening your home to us.

The third bedroom/gameroom access being only from the outside is in the description details of the listing. We were able to trouble-shoot the toilet issue over the phone, as well as indicate where to find the thermostat. The dishwasher, which was unfortunately out of order during this guests', stay, has since been repaired, and is now available for use. Glad these guests had a wonderful time anyway, and didn't let these minor issues ruin their stay.
My partner and I had a wonderful time at Nina’s cabin. It was beautifully located, decorated, and spacious. We loved the privacy and the hot tub was amazing! It was an easy check in/out process and the cabin had so many items for kids/families. The area/town was beautiful too. We will definitely be back!
This property suited the needs of our family. The inside of the home was nice and clean. The outside could have used some cleaning of tables and chairs. The landscaping was very nice. We did have an issue with getting the toilets to flush at times. For the price, this had the space and amenities we were looking for.
We enjoyed our stay here! Great cabin, updated kitchen. There were a few bugs inside but most of them were dead. We enjoyed the hot tub and it was close to downtown Blue Ridge. Thanks again for letting us stay here!
Was as described! My family and I had a nice time together in the mountains. Really enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace on the cold evenings in March. Beds were a bit smaller than we expected, but overall everything was nicely done.
Had a great stay and really enjoyed our time there!
Enjoyed this spot immensely! Owner is responsive and the cabin was exactly what we needed. Would definitely come again.
