Under stocked

The area was very nice. Facility was understocked which required us to purchase items. Only 2 hand towels in entire condo, paper goods very minimal and had to go to store immediately, no lg fry pan, no mixer, silverware very minimal, very few towels, bedroom light not working, furniture dated, no cork screw, felt need to clean a bit when arrived

Lakewood Ranch condo

This was our first stay in Lakewood National/ Lakewood Ranch. Stores and restaurants are a 10-20 minute drive. The beach is an hour drive. The facility had excellent amenities. Unfortunately, the weather was poor 3/4 weeks of our stay which limited our use of pool and golf. The electricity in the building went out several times. I had a sprained ankle and couldn’t use the elevator. Also, the bathroom sink clogged and no one came to fix. Overall, the property met our needs but it was just ok.

Worst VRBO yet

Owner refused to give check in codes insisted on meeting us on check in which meant we drove 14 hours and had no insurance we had a place to stay. Linens, towels kitchen equipment was pitiful. I bought sheets and towels for the month not willing to use the stained thredbare No frying pan or any type of mixer or blender so bought a magic bullet and a frying pan. No working can opener The arms on the leather chairs were dirty and cracked so bought covers. Only one floor lamp so had to buy table lamps for reading. Silverware and barware extremely scarce and cheap so bought that as well. We spent 400 to make the place livable for a month and believe me we are not that picky all purchases were on Amazon. Two nights we were locked out as the electric door lock did not work. Owner suggested neighbors were safe and we did not need to lock our door. Garbage disposal was broken they did send a repair man but I missed my grandsons special school event waiting for repairs. Balcony has not been cleaned in forever. I do not wear shoes in a house the first day we were there my socks were black on the bottom. We have stayed many times at Lakewood National and love it but this unit was awful. It is sad because space wise and location is great but owners are milking it and gouging. They are giving VRBO and Lakewood National rentals a bad rep. .
