Charming stone house, typical of the Périgord, at the top of a hill with superb views of the hills opposite. You will find peace and quiet to recharge your batteries, the encounter with nature and the possibility of spending a peaceful holiday.

Whatever the season of your holidays, whether in summer, mid-season or winter, there is always something to see, visit or discover. The Dordogne is full of treasures and joys; culture or sport, it's all there. And the Lot!

*Accommodation
According to the archives and the history of the area, this house is about 250 years old. It was the house of the sharecroppers who worked for the bourgeois who lived next door. In the past this house was actually 2 buildings, the part with the rooms was the grain silo.
I completely renovated the house between 2005 and 2006, and kept the original walls, as well as some beams that are now exposed in the kitchen and the mezzanine. The stone sink is also original.

There is WiFi in the house, as well as a Smart-TV with ChromeCast built-in. You will find all your favourite channels, radios and apps of your choice. All you have to do is connect. And if an app is missing, you can cast it from your phone, tablet or laptop.

There is an office area in the mezzanine bedroom. Ideal for telecommuting, writing a book, or any other activity requiring an office area with an internet connection.

There are a few board games, boxes full of Playmobiles and Lego Friends, as well as a few books for children, young and old.

The house has underfloor central heating and a wood stove. No worries for your stays in the mid-season and winter season. On the contrary, there is nothing better than enjoying the Périgordine gastronomy near a wood fire.

A Weber bbq is at your disposal for grilling.

The rental price includes the provision of bed linen, towels and tea towels.

If you are more than 4 people, my brother also has a rental accommodation 20 metres from my house, his accommodation is also on this platform, same common, and the name is Ancien Séchoir à Tabac restored, with a capacity of 4 people.

Traveller access
The entire accommodation is available. The washing machine and dishwasher are located in the chalet next to the house, at the end of the terrace.

The pool is an above-ground tubular steel pool, placed in June 2021. It is a private pool, just for you.
My goal is to offer holidays with a swimming pool for an affordable budget, to recharge your batteries and rest in Périgord without breaking the bank. That's why I have set up a participatory system, where you, the tenants, will keep an eye on the pool and its proper functioning. It's simple, the filtration pump has an automatic programme system, it's set to work independently. All you have to do is pass the robot vacuum cleaner that is available to clean the floor in the pool, and put the summer cover back on in the evening to keep the water at the right temperature.

The garden of more than 2000m2 is just for you. You will find in the chalet petanque balls, rackets and other games to play outside.

The garden is not fenced.

*Other remarks
The Dordogne is full of treasures and joys; castles, caves, museums, prehistoric and/or medieval sites, nature and sports trails, everything is there.
The house is also at the gateway to the Lot (Quercy) and the Lot et Garonne, where there are many admirable sites to visit as well.
Various magnificent bastides are in the vicinity, such as those Villefranche du Périgord, Monpazier, Villeréal.
Note that Villefranche du Périgord is the Capital of Chestnuts.
Sarlat-L-Canéda is 30km away, Belvès 15km, the castles of Castelnaud and Beynac about 20km.
For swimming (other than the swimming pool) and canoeing, the nearest place to the Dordogne is 20km away, in Siorac in Périgord. Otherwise, in Cénac, Vitrac, etc., it is quite possible to swim and rent canoes/kayaks.
