The Loft. Winter ski/ Summer biking. Perfect location

Ferme Noemie is able to offer you spacious comfortable holiday accomodation all year round. We are a family run business with outstanding feedback from our summer and winter clients. At Ferme Noemie have a range of lovely four star rated gites, a tiny campsite on the grounds and two mobile homes. The Loft has a bedroom on the main level with two single beds. An open loft floor overlooking tastefully furnished main living area has a further two single beds. A fully equipped kitchen makes catering easy.A large sunny southfacing terrace leads from the living area of the Loft.
The bathroom has bath/shower and separate wc.
We are on site to assist as much or as little as you require with full reception service available if required.
Private parking is plentiful, a gas BBQ is available for your use on the communal garden.
Bourg d'Oisans is the cycling mecca for road biking being famous as the start point for the famous Alpe d'Huez hill climb in the Tour de France. We are 4.5kms from Bourg d'Oisans with the added advantage of being a 'flat ride'to the start of the major famous cycle rides in the area. Cols de Glandon/ Croix de Fer/ Ornon/ Galibier etc.
Alpe d'Huez is also well known of course for its outstanding skiing. Also less than half an hours drive is Les 2 Alpes, Vaujany and the wonderful little resort of the Col d'Ornon.
We are well placed to accomodate participants of the many sporting events that fill the annual calender, such as the Marmotte, Alpe d'HuZes, The Tour de France, The Mega Avalanche and the Mountain of Hell, the trail running events, the EDF Alpe d'Huez Triathlon etc etc.
Equestrians are welcome with or without horses. We can accomodate visiting horses in our paddocks or can organise daily hacks from local stables.

Gemütliches Loft, sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Gastgeberin

Das Loft ist gemütlich und großzügig eingerichtet, insb. die Küche. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Sitzgelegenheit ist etwas in die Jahre gekommenen und nicht wirklich gemütlich. Riesige Sonnenterrasse und ruhige Lage. Morgens wird auf Wunsch frisches Brot geliefert. Das Loft liegt günstig und eignet sich hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt für Rennradtouren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gemütlich, sauber, ruhig und unkompliziert, ideal für Rennradfahrer

Geräumige Ferienwohnung in einer umgebauten Scheune, sauber und gut ausgestattet an einem kleinen Campingplatz. Die Lage ist ruhig im Grünen, die Vermieter sind nett und unkompliziert, Anreise nachts war kein Problem.

Ideal Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bourg D'oisans, the area is beautiful, the scenery and mountains are stunning, everything we wanted, as stated The Loft was an ideal base for cycling from, touring and sightseeing.,walks and tours up the mountains in cable cars and also fantastic scenic river walks from the accomodation. Melanie the owner was extremely helpful, in fact she put us at ease if we ever needed to ask her or needed anything, nothing was too much trouble. The Loft was clean and comfortable, however..... not one of the adverts or photographs shows that The Loft is based on a campsite , the accomodation is actually above the reception area, where there are washing machines for everyone to use, below the verandah is a washing line where the washing is put up after being washed, and a communal picnic table where a lot of the campers assemble to connect to the free Wifi for the reception. There is also a bike store next to the reception area, there is a toilet block and barbecue area within 30 metres of the accomodation, so all in all this accomodation can not be classed as private, which unfortunately is what we thought we were going to. I will say that the campsite and the facilies seem excellent, if you want to stay on a campsite and go camping or in one of the Mobile homes we would reccomend it ( something we do from time to time) but on this occasion we expected a private residence, and as I say this was never made clear when viewing or booking.

Gem of a property in a superb location

Wonderful stay in a lovely loft within a nice quiet location but close to amenities. Melanie was the perfect host, friendly, helpful and informative. The views from our balcony were simply stunning. Great facilities within the accommodation. A real home from home. Can't wait to return. Definitely recommend to all.

Just lovely!! A perfect place to stay and ideal for cyclists.

We stayed in 'The Loft' for a week and it was perfect for us. We were on a trip with members of our cycle club who stayed in Bourg itself. We wanted a bit of peace and quiet, so we opted to stay in Les Sables at Ferme Noemie a few miles away from the centre of Bourg. We had our own terrace, and a really lovely clean and very private self-catering apartment with everything we needed in it. It was very cool in the very hot weather and this was an important feature as the temperatures rose each day. The terrace had a wonderful view and was great for sitting outside at the table or for doing a bit of bike maintenance. We kept our bikes in the very secure bike store down below us and logistically it all worked for us. Melanie, the very hard-working site owner was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; and she delivered our order of fresh bread in the morning from a local bakery. The views round the site are just wonderful; everything you would hope for in a mountainous place. In terms of location, it's ideal for cyclists because you can access lots of beautiful mountain routes from Ferme Noemie, as well as the iconic Alpe d'Huez climb. You can use the few flat miles of ride to Bourg as a warm-up before commencing your ascent on the famous '21 Virages'. One of the best holidays I've had. Thank you Melanie.
