2 bedroom house UNWIND & ENJOY

Escape to a wonderful, peaceful, clean, private and perfect place to relax and have fun! Hudson Lake is the perfect lake to fish on (boats or off the pier), very clean to swim in, perfect for all water sports, or to watch a gorgeous sunset!! If the pontoon boat is rented, a back lake eco cruise is a must! Enjoy the home with a new kitchen, bathroom and carpeting. Even the view from in the house is breathtaking due to the entire front of the house constructed of windows. It is located about 18 miles from the University of Notre Dame and 75 miles to downtown Chicago. Serves as a perfect get-away for a Notre Dame weekend!! We require atleast a five night stay, and would prefer arriving on a weekday instead of the weekends. Pontoon boat will be available thru Boatsetter.com

Highly recommend this place. Amazing property, with the lake-facing side all windows the view was fantastic. Very clean, beds were extremely comfortable, well equipped and, with the exception of the kitchen, fully carpeted. Our dinners were all at restaurants, but we enjoyed having breakfast and a cocktail/beer in the early evening on the covered porch with view of the lake. Only regret was that we didn't book for a longer period. Michelle is a terrific host.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We loved everything about our stay. The view from inside the house with the large window or outside on the patio area was beautiful. We even got to see some fireworks going off across the lake from inside the house one night. We grilled out and enjoyed the lake. Michelle was in touch before our trip with additional information that was very helpful. The house was very clean and updated. Highly recommend so much that we will be booking again next year.

Fantastic lakefront location and beautiful views of the lake (day & night) and sunrises. Polite and helpful neighbors. Great owner/host. Ideal for family getaways. Clean, comfortable, and organized accommodations. Convenient optional boat rental as well as plenty of fun yard games & water toys for kids & adults. Fishing. Recommend bringing your own groceries & beverages as local stores have limited selection.

The Perfect "Lake Life" Getaway

Michelle and Jim, This is a hidden Gem. Your house is beautiful and it sits right on Hudson Lake, the views from the family room and porch are simply amazing. It had everything we needed and was the perfect romantic getaway to celebrate our anniversary and to relax and enjoy living the lake life. Having the boat and all of the lake toys right there onsite was great. The fishing right off the private dock was fantastic, might be the best spot on the lake. You could not ask for more gracious and accommodating hosts. We will definitely be back!

Great lakehouse

Very clean and had everything we needed for the stay. The only negative I would add was that there was no washer and dryer and I had to make a run to the laundromat to dry our wet towels and bathing suits. Since it rained a lot we had no way to dry them quickly outside. The owners were very quick to respond to our questions. The house has a great view and it was so nice to just walk right down into the lake. It rained a lot and there is nothing to do in New Carlisle. We had to venture out to the surrounding towns for some fun and restaurants. Overall we loved our stay.

Updated, Yet Classic Lake Home

My family had a wonderful time at this lake home and cannot wait to return. The kitchen has been completely updated and has EVERYTHING you need. There are also so many towels for both bath and beach. The water is literally steps from the door. The lake is clean and very calm on the weekdays. We loved that he lake-facing side of the house is almost ALL windows. Michelle was a terrific host- very responsive and gave clear communication.

Relaxing Retreat

Beautiful lake views and relaxing surroundings. Loved the covered patio. House was very clean and had everything we needed. There are water toys for all to enjoy the clear, clean lake. We fished and caught fish everyday.....lots of birds, natural wildlife. The only negative was there was no washer or dryer but, it did not really matter! We really enjoyed ourselves and glad we had a week to enjoy the beauty!

Beautiful, clean lake house

My family & I just loved the property the moment we arrived. Being right on the lake was peaceful & perfect for our family. I was worried the water would be too deep for my boys but it’s a beach type entry, so I didn’t worry about their safety as much. Loved everything about the house, the full walls of windows was just beautiful & calming. Very comfortable bedding. Great kitchen. I would definitely recommend.

Great spot for a couples get away!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at Michelle’s home. It was very clean and just like the pictures showed, right on the water! It was super peaceful. Everything was very accessible and communication with Michelle was very easy! We’d definitely stay again!

Lovely House Right on the lake

The house was perfect. Super comfy and peaceful. Very responsive communication with the owners through the stay. We also rented the boat which made the stay even better. Caught (and released) a lot of fish right off the back yard. Will def stay here again. Thank you!

I grew up on this lake. My grandfather bought a house on this lake in 1957 and our family has been loving this lake ever since.. My wife and I bought t his house on the other side of the lake about 18 years ago. You will love it as much as we do!!

Why they chose this property

Perfect location for sun, beautiful view, very clean lake and privacy all day!! New Carlisle is a small, quaint town with some treasures.... The Village Florist ( a home decor store that is a must for many from many surrounding states), a unique Austrian restaurant called Moser's Austrian Cafe, an Irish restaurant called Kate O'Connors Irish Pub, great pizza at Black Cat Lanes, Longshots Bar and Grill and for breakfasts, we recommend Manny's and Jennie Rae's.
You will be close to a must....New Buffalo Michigan! Take the short drive and enjoy the many restaurants in that area....Stray Dog, Casey's, Brewsters, Bentwood Tavern, Beer Church Brewery, Redamak's and Ghost Isle Brewery are some that are awesome!!!

Also, the Casino in New Buffalo could help you pay for your vacation!!!!
