Everything was perfect from start to finish. Excellent communication/ instructions from the host, the house is beautiful and super clean, and the location is great. My husband and I stayed here with our three teenagers and it was plenty of space. We are all very happy, so glad we found it, and can't wait to come back!

Weekend in the snow

Great cozy weekend in a warm and comfy cabin with everything you need. Easy walk to the lake and so nice to be in a town that is a little off the beaten path but still convenient to restaurants, etc. loved the cabin and our stay.

Quiet Cabin Perfect for Family Time

Great little winter getaway for our family. Our boys loved the cabin and the quiet snowy backyard. We loved the quiet and peacefulness of this place. We went to Big Bear during the day for the snow tubing and restaurants and shopping but it was nice to get away from the craziness and relax at the cabin! The cabin was clean and so cute! Definitely recommend.

Wonderful!

The check-in process was incredibly easy. The home was neat as a pin and very well decorated. My bed was so comfortable! Slept like a baby with the windows open. The kids had an absolute blast as we were a 7 minute walk to the lake. Locals were very friendly and welcoming. The home was well stocked with kitchenware and spices and the entire family enjoyed a relaxing holiday. We'll be back!

What a pleasure to have you and your family! Such a good communicator, I appreciate that a lot. So glad you had fun and appreciated my home - most rentals are not the owners home half the year. Definitely return — lots of snow in the winter!

A relaxing home away from home

This cabin is as functional as it is pretty. The decor is amazing...it's just a gorgeous place inside and out. And the owner has anticipated every need. It has all the amenities and niceties and necessities that one could ask for...from pantry staples, to cozy extra blankets, to appliances, to ... you name it. And it's so clean! We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the cabin. We walked around the lake & did some fishing. But our main goal was just to relax. Communication with the owner was very easy and responsive. We would highly recommend this cabin.

Perfect quiet getaway with everything you need

My family and I live in the LA area and wanted to go somewhere local to have our kids try skiing for the first time. This cabin was perfectly situated a 15 minute drive from Snow Valley, which was fabulous. What we didn't know when we booked it was that Green Valley Lake is a small, quiet and adorable little village that we now want to return to in the summer. While I am sure Big Bear and Lake Arrowed were bustling for the holiday weekend, GVL was calm and serene. Now, the cabin. It was perfect! Communication with our host great and the instructions for the house were easy to follow. We really appreciated the detail she included to help us understand how things worked and where things were. The house has everything you need. Very well equipped and stocked. Beds are comfy and warm (heated blankets!!). Piano in the living room was a nice touch. Super clean and super convenient to the lake and the few shops in town. We asked the host if we could come again in the summer. And we would rent again in the winter. A+!

Family trip

The cabin was nice, but my family and I did not feel comfortable. Our kids were with us and the host found the need to remind us that her cabin was not kid proof, and to make sure we take care of her cabin. We also received a text message from the owner two days before check out reminding us about checkout instructions and asking if anything was broken. The day before checkout she asked if we were all checked out. I reminded her our checkout wasn't until tomorrow but we would gladly leave if she wanted us too. We'll need a refund for the extra day of us leaving early. Our family go on winter vacations yearly for the pass 15yrs and I have never felt so uncomfortable as we did staying here. We are not a rowdy family at all and cause no trouble, in fact half the day we wasn't even there in her cabin, we were out doing activities around the city. We paid a cleaning fee and was advised to take our trash with us. We definitely would not rent from Kelly again.

We likely got off on the wrong foot when the reservation you made was for 3 and there were at least 7 guests which exceeds my maximum set by the County and my desire as a host. And it was something I wrote you to confirm, days prior to arrival, that was not corrected or communicated. Apart from yours, my reviews are ALL 5-star with great communication. Your stay also resulted in the only neighbor disturbance I have experienced. My apologies, as I expressed when we realized I was off-a-day on the ‘standard checkout reminder’ text I send to guests. I do hope your group had fun and shared positive times during your get-away. Have a Merry Christmas.

perfect winter getaway

My family and I had an amazing time at this lovely cabin in GVL. We wanted a cabin that had plenty of snow to build snowmen and easy access to a sledding area. This cabin did not disappoint. The cabin was conveniently located between snow valley and lake arrowhead (Win win)!! The property manager was wonderful. She was warm, professional and prompt in responding to emails or text messages. Her cabin was nicely furnished with all the amenities and had a cozy feel. My kids (7yo and 4yo) absolutely loved the winter vacation getaway here. They even enjoyed the short walk to the playground by the lake. We would love to return again.

Wonderful cabin for our family of 4!

We had a wonderful trip to GVL! The host answered all our questions, and the process was easy to check in and access the amenities (boat, beach, etc.). Our kids (ages 6 and 8) really enjoyed sleeping in the loft area. Only issue (minor) was that the VRBO app and site show the property right next to the lake. It’s actually further back than we expected, but certainly still within a short walk. All in all, a wonderful cabin, we had a great time and we’d highly recommend it!
