The vibes were immaculate. Our host was attentive, charasmatic, and knowledgeable. Our room was clean and I felt like I was in a piece of classic literature! If you're looking for a very private getaway, this might not be the place for you, but we loved meeting the other guests and chatting over the beautiful breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again!
I recommend getting the breakfast it was absolutely amazing! Rooms and bathrooms were very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and they provide extra blankets and towels if you need them! We very much enjoyed our trip! Thank you for everything!
Katherine has done a great job making a pre-civil war house charming and inviting. A great breakfast/linch deli nearby on the way to the Falls. Will stay again if travels bring us back.
She starts your stay with a cool video virtual tour of the house. It has lots of hidden passages that make for a cool experience. The hostess is a very nice person who is very helpful with advice for getting around both sides of the falls. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for others visiting Niagara Falls.
Katherine was a fantastic hostess! Our room and the home were very clean. We enjoyed a bountiful breakfast and dinner served with elegance & style, very delicious. This historic home and visit was one of the highlights of our month long trip. We look forward to visiting in the future and will recommend to anyone traveling to Niagara Falls. Thank you again to Katherine and Sebastian for a wonderful stay!
Felt like a living museum! It was very cool to experience a stay similar to how it would’ve been way back when… The house is full of unique surprises and authentic decor. The hostess is wonderful and considerate. The outdoor porch is a nice cozy place to read a book, have some tea, or just enjoy the breeze. The room rates are great for all that you get. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone, but especially those that are fascinated with history.
The house and stay were wonderful. The house is stuck back in time. Which I truly enjoyed because it didn’t feel like a hotel and it felt like a house. I loved sitting on the front porch with all the flowers and plants around. We didn’t get to meet the owner but the caretaker was super nice. It was fine using the old style locks and hidden bathroom. I would definitely come back here again.

Adequate
Property owner boasts of amazing breakfast that you have to pay for despite property advertised as a bnb. No staff at property unless you order breakfast so you basically stay in a shared house without services. Poor neighborhood and outside of property not maintained. Location is very close to park, so made up for lack of attentiveness of host who was out of country.
Interesting property. It is cool but a little too still under construction. I wish the hidden bathroom was done in the correct time period instead of modern. The mirror in that bathroom is too high for people around 5’ 4”. There are no electrical outlets on the bathroom to use. Outlets are few in the gold room too. I assumed that at a bed and breakfast that the cost of breakfast would be included. This B&B needs some refinement.
What makes this property “Absolutely Fantastic “ ?
a) The property itself
b) The host , Kathrine De Bois
Warning, if you are looking for a cheap substitute for a Holiday Inn Express, or a Sheraton Hotel , this may not be the place for you . You have to have a bit of “adventurism “in you to enjoy yourself here . If you merely treat this as a place to stay overnight, you will be missing out on the best part that a stay here has to offer. Treat your stay here as a “destination “ , the house is like a history museum.
The house is 160 + years old , a tour of the house will prove this . My favorite room was the parlor , it has a comfortable seating arrangement , fireplace and lots and lots of reading material all dating back at least 100 years . It is a great place to meet other guests .
We were there in the “ off season “ the last week end in September , so my wife and I had lots of “ one on one “ time with Kathrine . She is a delightful person .
Although Niagara Falls is a destination you seek to visit once or twice in a lifetime , we are looking for an excuse to return , just to see Kathrine again .
We did not stay at this property, after waiting 25 minutes for someone to let us in (no code furnished by the owner) we called our cab driver and had him take us to the Fairfield in about 2 miles away. When we initially arrived our cab driver cautioned us about going out after dark due to the deplorable nature of the neighborhood. The porch where we waited for 25 minutes was filthy, the furniture on the porch was covered w/ sheets that were so disgustingly dirty we did not want to sit on them. We called the property owner to let her know we could not get into the property, she told us that her employee was in the house cleaning and would be there directly to let us in. No one was in the house evident by the employee that showed up 25 minutes later. We did not even get the common courtesy of a call back from the property owner after we called a 2nd time and left a message that we were still on the porch and no one was around. We were also cautioned by the cab driver that a person that was wondering around the neighborhood while we waited was a person to "definitely stay clear of." We have stayed in numerous VRBO properties over the years and this Crap Hole was exactly that, a Crap Hole w/ poor or better said, non existent management.

Not for medically challenged.
Bed one sided access. Bathroom door too heavy with attached book case. Towels way to high up on shelf.
Check-in was delightful as you take a tour of the house and discover it's secret rooms! Kathrine and Sebastian are both great and go out of their way to make sure you have all the information you need for a great time while there. The house is in an ideal location and the little extras that are done just makes this place a must stay!
The Aaron house was is a stark contrast to the highly commercialized parts of Niagara. It was a nice place to call “home” for a few nights after the sights and sounds of the day. Katherine was an entertaining host.
