Do you love the countryside and fresh air, do you dream of waking up to just the sound of nature? The location of our cottage in the heart of a hazel grove makes it a preserved and authentic place where you can rest while enjoying our uncovered heated swimming pool (secured by a roller shutter) from June 15 to September 15 (from 10 [hidden] to 12:30 [hidden] and from 2 [hidden] to 6:30 [hidden] our guests are welcome with the obligatory swimming cap). We have chosen to keep its old-world charm with a few touches of modernity inside for your comfort. Breakfast on the south-facing terrace facing the lawn or dinner to enjoy the starry sky, everyone as they wish! Facing the terrace, the living room keeps things cool during the hot summer months thanks to its stone walls. You can enjoy the lounge near the fireplace which will liven up your evenings in winter. Equipped with an American-style kitchen area and a dining area with a table or bar, it accommodates an old corner bed transformed into a daybed which also allows sleeping (90/190). A corridor leads to a bright bedroom which opens onto the lawn, the bathroom with walk-in shower and the separate toilet. Available: WIFI, complete baby equipment, wood for the fireplace, NOT INCLUDED: tourist taxes and OPTIONAL: supply of sheets (€8/bed), bathroom/house linen (€7/pers.), cleaning fee ( 40€) . Hiking trails, La Flèche Zoo, fishing and castles nearby. Très bon accueil, et gîte très propre. La localisation est idéale, pour son calme et sa proximité avec de nombreuses choses à découvrir . Enfin, pouvoir profiter de la piscine, quel plaisir. Merci encore.

A lovely, authentic place for 1-3 people

A cosy and characterful Gite in a beautiful, remote location. The host was always very friendly and happy to help (they speak limited English but are handy with Google Translate!) which I appreciated very much. The complimentary biscuits and chilled apple juice were delicious! The bed was comfortable and the shower was easy to use and get up to temperature. The only minus point I would make is that the curtains in the bedroom don't quite close fully and let a lot of light through, so if you stay in the summer then your sleep will be largely limited by the sun's presence (I also felt like I needed to get dressed in a different room...). There is another (single) bed in the living room where the curtains/blinds are much better.
