The house has just been renovated with great detail to suit the most demanding customers.

Lovely stay

We stayed with our 2 small children a week and it is a Perfect place to enjoy the silent nature in the mountains but also in /0 minutes you are at the beach!

A very nice place

We stayed in the cottage for 4 weeks and had a very nice stay. The host always responded quickly to our questions. We very much appreciated the nice walking area Finca Osorio nearby. Recommended!

The property was excellent, extremely clean and well appointed.

The property had everything that we could ask although we did have problems with the TV - we had numerous occasions when it came up with the message - "No Signal". However that was only a minor irritation. It is most definitely in a beautiful part of Gran Canario but a car is absolutely necessary. The surrounding scenery was spectacular especially if you went higher into the hills. There was a real shortage of restaurants nearby and many were closed - possibly time of the year. Terror is the nearest town but it lacks any classy restaurants. Several reasonable tapas bars with very reasonable prices.

Lovely property!

Lovely house! Would recommend for couples, a small group, or a family (not really young children though - lots of steps outside the back of the property...mine were 10 and 6 when we stayed, and it was perfect). Our kids loved the fish and the jacuzzi. Well maintained and clean inside, though the wifi was rather unreliable (out of the control of the owner). Sadly for us the weather was pretty poor during our stay so we didn't get the full benefit of the outside areas. There's some roadworks underway on the roads between the airport and the property, so it might be useful if the directions could be updated (GC20 not mentioned in directions at the moment)? Also, we couldn't find the rack part of the grill tray, though we weren't exactly looking particularly hard. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Excellent, well-equipped and interesting property

Overall, this is an amazing property. Here are the best things from our 2-week stay. > The courtyard garden with pond is an absolute gem and gives a "wow" factor on entering. Its a beautiful space to sit and enjoy. > The hottub was amazing, - hot and worked well and in a truly relaxing space. > Really well equipped kitchen and tasteful and charming interior decoration. Lots of modern technology additions. > Huge outside space, lovely trees, fruit in garden > Owners really responsive, and helped with a wi-fi issue speedily Small things to be aware of; > The main bedroom faces directly onto the road at ground level. People park outside the window and traffic rumbles past early morning. Light sleepers will likely struggle with this despite comfy beds. > The outside space does need cleaning off regularly due to dust from the road, and wasn't as pristine as the photographs when we stayed (may be due an outside clean soon!)

Lovely House

This is a lovely little house, very warm and comfortable even in February. Pedro was very helpful, with excellent communications and directions. We found his Google maps very useful! The house has a very well equipped kitchen with loads of pots, pans & utensils etc. We like home cooking so this was very welcome. The settee was comfortable for two, but not much of a lounge for a family of four. In the warmer months that's not a problem as you'll be outside in the nice terraced garden. The double bed was comfortable, there was some road noise as the double bedroom window is right on the roadside, but not enough noise to be a nuisance. The jacuzzi was a nice addition after a long walk. The location was good for walking, Teror is in easy walking distance, however the road is very busy at times. Teror market on Sunday was worth a visit. All in all we had a nice holiday and enjoyed exploring this side of the island away from the mass tourist areas.

Traditional 2 bedroom Canadian Cottage in El Palmar

On entering the property we were immediately greeted by the 'Wow' factor of the internal, traditional courtyard. On in to the property which was exactly as described in the property particulars and has a very simple layout built around 2 sides of the courtyard adequately spacious for our needs. On the table was a 'welcome' comprising local produce which was much appreciated. Outside the property just seems to go on for ever! The back of the property overlooks the lush vegetation growing beyond the property boundary, and down towards the village of El Palmar. Immediately outside the french doors is the balinese bed , a favourite for lounging on with a book. Down a few steps to arrive at the outside terrace with huge dining table, chairs and BBQ. To one side is another fully fitted kitchen equipped with everything needed for dining outside. Down another couple of steps brought us to a garden area with access to the garage. There is a further terraced garden and outside loo accessed through a gate from the outside terrace. The whole property is clean and well maintained inside and out. We loved the addition of well planted pots which added to the feeling of welcome and of course the jacuzzi. Pedro is a delightful landlord and we really appreciated the care and attention he showed in making sure we were happy with everything. We visited Teror several times just to soak up the atmosphere, particularly enjoying our visit to the town museum and our walking tour of Teror. The Sunday market is well worth a visit . Other highlights included the outdoor concert in Teror listening and dancing to a latin American band, the jazz festival and the festival in El Palmar itself. We felt extremely welcome as observers of a local festival and the way in which townsfolk included us. The cottage is extremely well situated for visiting other places on the island. For food shopping we mainly used the local supermarket (special thanks to the english speaking butcher) and also the Super Dino supermarket in Teror. We ate out several times and enjoyed without exception excellent food/ drink at reasonable prices. Just don't go out too early in the evening or you could think that everything is closed, whereas it hasn't opened yet! The property exceeded our expectations. Words/photos can't really do justice to this gem. We can't praise it or Pedro the owner highly enough. We look forward to returning one day and will not hesitate to recommend it to other people.

Lovely oasis of tranquility

What a find this house is. Behind a very ordinary looking wall is a lovely house with beautiful grounds, a fish pond, a hot tub and fruit trees for you to pick oranges and satsumas for breakfast

Gut, aber in die Jahre gekommen

Umfassend ausgestattetes Haus, in dem es an nichts fehlte - außer Ruhe. Die überraschenderweise selbst bis tief in die Nacht genutzte Dorfstraße führte direkt am Schlafzimmer vorbei... LKWs der Müllabfuhr um 3 Uhr nachts, Motorräder und Autos die ab dem Fenster mit Vollgas den Hang rauffuhren.... Leider alles schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen - zwar nichts defekt, aber deswegen nicht wie erwartet. Kontakt zum Vermieter super! Schnell, immer sofort, höflich und hilfsbereit.

A Perfect 3 Weeks Stay

We had a perfect 3 weeks stay at this spacious, traditional and surprisingly modern farmhouse on the edge of a hillside in the north of Gran Canaria. The owner, Pedro, was very helpful and regularly in contact by email or WhatsApp to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. We really appreciated the ‘welcome’ pack of local Canaria specialities and wine. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. There were also a clean built-in outdoor BBQ and table/chairs for al fresco dining. The extensive private terraced gardens on multiple levels, overlooking the barranco, were great for soaking up the sun on either the 4 poster day bed or lounge beds. There was an inner courtyard which proved to be a relaxing oasis with its lush planting and trickling water in the watercress pool. Our favourite place was the spotlessly clean under cover jacuzzi beside the inner courtyard which was perfect for unwinding in the evening. The bathroom had twin sinks and a large double shower with strong flow rainfall fittings. The washing machine and tumble dryer were both modern and efficient. We felt very at home in this comfortable, clean and lovely farmhouse and were sad when we had to leave.

Great home for 2 weeks

Stayed at this great home of Beatriz and Pedro. Due to COVID restrictions we didn't really meet in person but had contact vi whatsapp. Any communication and question I got a fast response. The home is great. Especially the outside area's are beautiful and spacious. The master bedroom is on the (quiet) roadside and as a consequence we slept with window closed and door (and other windows) open. We used the jacuzi multiple times, which was nice after an active day. A car is needed if you want to go to a city or a beach.

Schönes Haus, sehr netter Vermieter

Der Vermieter Pedro hat uns freundlich empfangen und war jederzeit erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Das Haus liegt im grünen Inselnorden mit der sehr schönen Finca Osorio gleich in der Nähe, wo man gut wandern oder spazieren gehen kann. Im geschützten Garten kann man es sich unter einem Mandarinenbaum gemütlich machen. Nach Wanderungen ist der Whirlpool sehr angenehm. Das Haus ist schön und die Ausstattung gut. Meine beiden Kinder und ich haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit guter Lage und cleverer Architektur

Das Haus und die Umgebung im grünen Norden Gran Canarias sind wunderschön. Die Lage ist perfekt als Ausgangspunkt sowohl in Richtung Berge, als auch zu den schönen Stränden des Nordens; die Hauptstadt Las Palmas erreicht man in ca. 25 Minuten. Wir haben insbesondere die Nähe zu den gemütlichen Städtchen Arucas, Firgas und Teror sehr genossen. Besonders genial fanden wir die Art, wie der Gastgeber und seine Familie den Innenhof gestaltet haben. Durch die Verglasung bleibt der offene, typisch kanarische Baustil erhalten und trotzdem sind auch in etwas kühleren Nächten die Wohnräume stets angenehm warm. Ein echtes Paradies!

Veel privacy en ruimte in rustige omgeving

De woning biedt veel privacy en ruimte door de ligging in een rustige omgeving. De woning ligt buiten het toeristische deel van Gran Canaria. Met name de buiten ruimte van de woning is zeer royaal. Alle benodigde voorzieningen, waaronder een jacuzzi, voor een aangenaam verblijf aanwezig.

Geweldig huis op een geweldige locatie

Dit huis is echt geweldig, heerlijke ruimte, leuke patio (met vissen), lekkere jacuzzi om in te genieten. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Er stond een leuk welkomstpakket met lokale producten, echt leuk! Grote tuin beneden met buitenkeuken en extra binnenruimte met ijskast. Twee lekkere zonnebedden, mooie kakiboom (ze zijn echt heerlijk). Het lekkere Balinese bed om te ontspannen. Voor iedereen die niet midden in het toeristische gebied willen zitten is dit geweldig. De informatiemap met alle bezienswaardigheden op het eiland was zeer behulpzaam. We bijna alles bezocht. Kortom een aanrader! Pedro en Beatriz zijn zeer aardige mensen. Zo ook Juani en Basilio die ons in ontvangst hebben genomen en alles hebben uitgelegd. Dank:)

Schönes kanarisches Haus zum Entspannen !

Wir wurden vom Vermieter sehr freundlich empfangen und auch die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war vorbildlich ! Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man so für den Alltag und zum Kochen braucht. Die Betten waren super bequem und der Schlaf sehr erholsam. Die Abende im Whirlpool bei einem Glas Wein sind auch sehr entspannend. Leider konnten wir aufgrund des Wetters den tollen Außenbereich nicht nutzen . aber vielleicht beim nächsten Mal. Wir kommen gerne wieder !

Wer Ruhe sucht abseits vom touristischen Rummel ist hier richtig... Der Jacuzzi ist toll und gepflegt, der Garten mit dem Tagesbett wunderschön, und die Lage in den Bergen ruhig. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend- wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub und können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Tolle Unterkunft!

Die Unterkunft war perfekt für unseren 1-wöchigen Aufenthalt. Pedro war ein toller Gastgeber, er hat uns viele Tipps für Gran Canaria gegeben. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gross und gut eingerichtet. Es gibt sogar eine Outdoor-Küche, um beim Barbecue (fast) draussen zu kochen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
