Lovely modern apartment near beach and close to Arromanches

We were delighted with our stay. All the beaches were within a short drive. The flat was modern and well decorated. The hosts were charming. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

Wonderful Stay

Francoise is a very thoughtful host and the house is a perfect launch pad for our Normandy vacation. Centrally located and close to the beach, groceries and restaurants. Communication was great. The house was very clean, comfortable and modern. Would definitely stay again!

Normandy stay

Francoise was a very friendly and gracious hostess. She spent time explaining what to see around the area and gave us restaurant tips. The property was clean and comfortable and far exceeded our expectations.

Excellent host

Francoise met us at check in and supplied us with lots of helpful information before our stay. The location is perfect for exploring the D Day beaches. The house is well planned and well equipped.

Perfect ! Our adult children said it was the best vacation ever. It allowed our 8 grandchildren, 3 boys from Va. and 5 girls from Texas to become better acquainted. The beach is beautiful, quiet and natural and fishing was wonderful. Quite an accommodating home and location.

Françoise was a wonderful host. The house was perfect for the four of us and a quick, easy walk to Gold Beach. It is also close to a little restaurant and a short drive/bike ride to the grocery store. It looked close to the main road at first, but it was very quiet and relaxing (even with nearby road construction while we were there!). We loved the view off the front porch toward the beach, and also the view from the kitchen back over the fields.

Wonderful stay

Francoise was the perfect hostess and her rental was just perfect! The location was great for visiting the Normandy beaches. The restaurant La Baraka across the street for supper was delicious and there were numerous other places to eat nearby as well. There were some laughs as I didn’t speak French and Francoise doesn’t really speak English but we managed. The hot water pressure wasn’t fantastic - but those were minor inconveniences. All in all - a great place!

Amazing property just a short walk to the beach! Francoise is a wonderful host. She had so much information to share with us. Thank you for making us feel so welcome in your beautiful home. Wonderful vacation home near historic beaches

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a language problem but we’re able to converse and obtain all of the information to make our stay wonderful. The home was in a village across from one of the Normandy landing beaches and had easy access to a paved walking path along the waterfront. The home was also close to the American Cemetary and landing beaches. There was an excellent local restaurant across the road from the house which came highly recommended by the host. There were also restaurants and grocery stores in nearby towns which could be reached in a few minutes drive. Overall, this was one of the best vacation rentals we have used based on the facility, hosts and proximity to the places we wished to visit.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub! Die traumhafte Landschaft, die schönen Häuser und Chateaus, das Meer, die spannende Geschichte der Normandie und die freundlichen Menschen haben bei uns einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen. Die Menschen sind dazu sehr hilfsbereit und man kann sich mit ihnen prima verständigen, auch wenn man selbst kein Französisch spricht. Abgerundet wurde das Ganze von unserem sehr stilvoll eingerichtetem Haus, in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Francoise und Didier haben uns hilfreiche Tipps gegeben, sie waren zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar und haben immer sofort geholfen. Wir haben gespürt, dass die beiden ihr Geschäft mit sehr viel Herzblut machen und ihnen die Zufriedenheit der Gäste und der persönliche Kontakt mit ihnen sehr wichtig sind. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

Das war leider nichts!

Wir waren im Juli in Pontoons View mit 2 Erwachsenen und 3 Kindern (das Alter gibt man bei der Buchung an). Im Haus angekommen war es leider sehr dreckig. Haare im Kühlschrank, Tomatenkerne auf dem Teppich, das Geschirr war dreckig UND verkalkt, der Außenbereich war dreckig und zugewuchert. Das Babybett und der Hochstuhl fehlten leider obwohl sie im Inserat bei der Ausstattung vermerkt sind. Wir haben dann danach gefragt und einen schimmeligen Stuhl und ein mit Spinnennestern übersähtes Bett bekommen. Es war furchtbar und wurde gesagt das wäre unsere Schuld, wir hätten es trotz altersangabe und Erwähnung in der Ausstattung bestellen müssen. Von Samstag bis Donnerstag funktionierte das warme Wasser nicht richtig. Sonntags kamen die Vermieterin und ihr Mann für mehrere Stunden zum putzen. Wir hörten immer nur „das Haus ist erst vier Jahre alt, es hat sich noch nie jemand beschwert“. Vorwürfe anstatt Entschuldigungen. Auch die Waschmaschine ging nicht. Wir wurden beschuldigt wir hätten sie kaputt gemacht und hätten Pfusch betrieben. Am Ende stellte sich heraus es war nicht unsere Schuld. Schlussendlich sind wir einen Tag eher abgereist weil wir uns so schlecht gefühlt haben auf Grund der viele Vorwürfe wir würden uns nur beschweren und das Haus schlecht machen. Eine Erstattung wurde abgelehnt. Das Haus ist wunderschön und toll gelegen. Leider wurde diese Schönheit durch die Umstände vor Ort zerstört. Sooo schade.

Nous avons à ce jour plus de 5 étoiles avec beaucoup de compliments sur notre logement. nous n'étions pas présent lors de l'arrivée de ce couple allemand, composé de deux enfants et un bébé. Ils n'avaient pas pris soin de nous préciser qu'ils avaient besoin d'un lit et d'une chaise bébé. Nous avons donc demandé à Melanie de leur en apporter à titre gracieux. Nous avons ensuite reçu de leur part de multiples messages négatifs et avons écourter notre weekend pour rentrer en Normandie. ces gens critiquaient tout. Une casserole car il y avait un trace de calcaire la Pression d'eau chaude , lit bébé insuffisant propre a leur goût ainsi que la chaise haute que nous avons re-nettoyé malgré tout. nous avons fait intervenir un réparateur etpour la machine à laver celui-ci a constaté que la porte du tambour n'avait pas été fermée et qu'un linge obstruait le tuyau d'évacuation. Ils critiquaient tout même les bêtes d'orage. Nous ne maîtrisons pas encore les insectes ni la météo. nous leur avons fourni 20 serviettes de bain car ils en souhaitaient d'autres. Nous nous sommes déplacés à multiples reprises, avons fait intervenir un professionnel Pour augmenter la pression d'eau chaude etc. Ils souhaitait une chaise supplémentaire à l'étage alors que le logement en contient 16. . Nous sommes très attentif pour répondre au bien-être de nos locataires cadeaux de bienvenue café nous restons toujours à disposition pour le bien être de nos locataires. À leur retour nous recevions encore des sm

Maison parfaite pour la découverte des plages du débarquement. Situation parfaite à côté de gold beach. Située à 2 pas de la plage ! Bien équipée et bien décorée ! Françoise est une hôte très attentionnée.

Petit séjour très appréciable

Très joli et agréable logement pour séjourner quelques jours autour des plages du débarquement chargées d'histoire. Accueil très chaleureux de Françoise à notre arrivée et ses conseils sur les alentours étaient très appréciables. Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation.
