Hosts need to take better care of guests

Very poor communication. Don’t answer the phone. No info for a late check in. Key pickup is blocks away from apartment. Two broken unusable chairs. Constant odour in bathroom. Good heating and lots of hot water.

The area is great, and it's convenient to everything. It IS, however, a very noisy corner with lots of loud traffic. If you can't deal with "urban' don't pick this place. The apartment was clean and in good shape, but there were glitches (perhaps my fault, but don't see how). 1) I couldn't get 2 wall plugs in the kitchen to work. I am smart and mechanical, but, if they work, it shouldn't be so hard to figure out (or leave instructions) I put the coffee maker on the floor, and that worked, but it was annoying. 2) the sink drain disconnected itself. I heard an odd dripping sound, and found the cabinet below all wet and puddled (as I was trying to leave to catch a train! ). 3) I never figured out how to turn the hall light on - the only logical possibility also seemed to be somebody's doorbell, so I chose not to try that. 4) getting and returning the keys is pretty annoying, if you arrive by train. Communication was minimal. Why not send me access instructions the day before so I know what that the keys are in a lock box 1/2 a mile away?

Appartement très propre et très bien situé. Flânerie dans la magnifique Vielle ville et la petite Venise.Très bons restaurants.
