Enjoy both beautiful sunset views and easy access to the beach in this non-smoking, pet-free,sound-front home. The beach is a quick 5 minute trolly ride and it stops right in front of the house.And the beach is one of the few on the Outer Banks protected with a lifegaurd!!! The home rents from Saturday to Saturday.

Included is a 14 x 28 in ground pool for your personal use. So if you don't want to use the beach front pools or the indoor pool at the recreation center across the street you now have the advantage of a private pool right out your back door.

The home is beautifully decorated. From the Pirates room to the Margaritaville room, each bedroom has a special theme.There are 3 Bedrooms with private baths ( 2K,1Q ). 1 Bedroom with Queen bed and 1 bedroom with two Bunk Beds share a hall bath. Combined with one sleeper sofa this home comfortably accomodates 12 guests. You'll like preparing meals in the large, fully equipped kitchen.

Enjoy the views of the sound while dining in the screen room. After dinner sit on the third floor deck,around the outdoor bar, to enjoy the spectacular sunsets while the kids have fun with the pool table, video games and TV in the first floor game room. Finish the evening off by relaxing in the hot tub..

The home is part of the Corolla Light planned community with multiple amenities including a beachfront pool club, multiple outdoor tennis courts,volleyball,basketball,shuffleboard courts and many planned activities. The sports center features an Olympic size indoor pool,fully equipped exercise room, along with handball & tennis courts. Both the sports center and sound-front pool are closeby... just a two to three minute walk!

Whether you like to be active with sports, take in some serious sun at the beach, read a book on the deck or go shopping, this home provides is less than 10 minutes from everything. Spend a week here and you'll have a vacation of a lifetime!

We loved this home. Our family ranged in ages 2-65 and It fit all our needs.

The pool is nice for relaxing and I loved the swing by the sound. The kitchen is amazingly stocked with everybitensil, dish and pan you could ever need. There is a fully stocked game and movie closet downstairs that we didn’t find until the day we left. The only thing I would change would be the latches on a few of the doors were not secure and having little ones we were very nervous about them having access to the pool. Registration was confusing as the house was listed with two businesses that did not work together. It caused a lot of frustration on our end and when it was said and done, we ended up paying $300 more than what it was listed with the other company. Being the first year with the new company, hopefully next year it willl be listed with only one group. Owner was easy to communicate with and very friendly !

We LOVED my sound view and the view was amazing. The only thing that put a damper on our stay is hurricane Dorian. But that's mother nature. We had to evacuate on wed. We really were sad to go.

Highly recommend!

Soundview is a beautiful house and fit our needs for our vacation perfectly! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook and serve a fabulous meal. The multiple decks are great for relaxing and watching the sunset over the sound. The living areas are large, but cozy and are just right for relaxing after a busy day at the beach or exploring the Outer Banks. The bedrooms are comfortable and are decorated nicely. Bathrooms are clean and everything operated as expected. The pool and hot tub were wonderful for starting or finishing out the day. We even made use of the grill and patio dining areas two nights. We did have an issue with the air conditioning on the second floor, which required a part that took a few days to arrive, but the property managers brought in window units while they were waiting for it. Overall, we all highly recommend Soundview for an OBX vacation and will definitely stay again if we come back!

Wonderful view!

The view of the sound was amazing! Our grandchildren loved the decor. There was a pirate room with a treasure chest, a beach room with fake palm trees, parrots and monkeys, and model boats everywhere. There were lots of children’s games in the play room. However, the linens were thread bare and needed to be replaced. The mattresses were old and uncomfortable.

Not bad for first time

First time renting a beach house. Elan serviced well. Lots of small issues with house (fridge with nasty rotten fish smell, screen door and DVD player broke) but overall a nice place. With these issues addressed would stay again. Right on the water made for amazing sunsets; lots of bugs as one might expect at the edge of a marsh. Enjoyed the hot tub and billiard table.

Exceeds Expectations

This was our first trip to OBX and first time renting a vacation home. Both exceeded our expectations. Your home is lovely and the decor really sets the tone for a great beach vacation. There was ample room for our eight family members. There was plenty to do to keep the interests of the adults, the teens and younger child. There were so many extras in the house that we didn't expect, such as pool toys and floats, ample deck chairs and hammock swings, board games, bikes, Netflix, crab nets etc. All were well enjoyed. The private pool was awesome, and the sunsets over the sound were breathtaking. We enjoyed the Corolla Light pool and beach, but nothing could beat the 4WD beach and the wild horses. We'll certainly return to the outer banks in years to come, and wouldn't hestitate to return to My Sound View. Thank you for providing such a memorable vacation.

Clean house, wonderful amenities, responsive owner - just a few disappointments

First family trip to the outer banks - we were excited to visit Corolla and booked with Rich way in advance. He was always responsive via email or phone to questions and made us fee really good about our choice before we even arrived. We absolutely loved the amenities provided through the house at Corolla Light resort - easy beach access, wonderful restaurant and activities, very family friendly. My Soundview was a delightful place to stay - plenty of room for 7 adults and 2 kids, everything you could want in the kitchen, a private pool and beautiful sunsets over the sound. Unfortunately, some things on the end of our trip hit a sour note and made our last few days somewhat disappointing. On a small scale, some of the amenities could use a bit of updating. The exterior porch door, the outdoor shower, and the dishwasher (as well as a few other features throughout the house) were broken/dirty and, while usable, did exhibit some wear and tear. Nothing horrible, just noted. The bigger issue that really disappointed us was the pool. My daughter loved the pool and had a blast the first few days. On Wednesday morning, the motor for the pool broke and we were unable to swim. We called Elan (the property management company) as indicated in the contract; but the motor was not fixed until Friday evening - as our contract was up Saturday morning, we were unable to use the pool for four days. This was really frustrating, especially for my daughter - at 2.5 it is difficult to explain why we can't go in the water! We spoke to Rich when we got back from our trip (he called both when we were there to check-in and upon our arrival home) and he was extremely helpful and understanding. I really appreciated his concern and the opportunity to provide feedback. Overall, our trip was enjoyable and we appreciated the house and owner immensely - we just wish we would have gotten to use the pool as stated in the contract that we paid for and agreed to.

Heaven

We absolutely loved this beautiful beach home. We took the trolley to and from the beach and we never waited more than a few minutes for it. We went from the ocean to the oceanside pool, to the pool at the Setzer house. The hot-tub was very relaxing after a long day at the beach. When inside the house we watched movies from their excellent collection, or used satellite television or Netflix. The kids enjoyed the pool table in the basement, and the WiFi was strong enough for everyone's devices. The kitchen was well stocked with various pans, serving plates and dinnerware. There was even an extra counter ice machine for cool drinks. The best thing was the beautiful sunset that we viewed every night from the deck and we looked forward to it. This is a great home and we can't wait to go back there next year.

Paradise in the OBX!

We had such a great time at your place, it was very clean and the layout is great!! Love the décor that you and your wife had set up for each room, there was also plenty of room…and the central air worked really well, sometime you rent a house and you just never feel the house cooling off, yours was superb!! Love the Trolley to the beach, no need to take a car, and you can leave the beach or pool whenever you wanted, the Kids and adults loved the idea…Also everyone that worked there was so nice too and so nice to have the lifeguards all over the grounds. We actually took advantage of the service on the beach. We had 12 Chairs, 3 Umbrellas and 2 Coolers full of ice, it was so worth every cent. You were at the same spot each time so the kids never got lost, they refreshed the ice every day and you didn’t have to drag the coolers full of ice either…just bring your drinks to the beach, the towels and lotion and you are all set to go. Plus if you feel like having a cocktail, the waitress services would come to the beach take your orders and then bring it to the beach for you. PS, Tell your wife she has great décor skills. Thanks so much, we really enjoyed our stay. This was our first time in OBX and we are so glad we went with your house and having all the amenities with your house at Corolla Light.

Great home, beautiful location. - My Soundview

This was our first time visiting the OBX and we had a very nice stay at My Soundview. The home worked out great for our large group of 11(4 adults/7 kids), had everything we needed, and was very clean. The kids definitely enjoyed the pool. Our entire group loved watching the incredible sunsets off the large deck each night and having a property on the sound was perfect for the kayaks we rented. Being part of the Corolla Light Resort was a big benefit as well with the kids activities (they went crabbing and played basketball) and the trolley to/from the beach. I am very glad we made the decision to stay at My Soundview and, should our travels take us out to the OBX in the future, we would love to stay at this property again.

Nice but could use some renovations to the decks. The landscaping definitely needs sprucing up.

The house is very nice. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Plenty of space to handle multiple families/friends. The pool and hot tub were very refreshing and you couldn't ask for more beautiful sunsets off the top deck.

One Amazing Week in Corolla, NC

We had decided to try the Outer Banks for the first time this year. We didn't know what to expect, other than a beach and hopefully some sun. Our expectations were COMPLETELY blown away, in large part because of the amazing house that we were lucky enough to rent. "My Soundview" was everything and MORE that we had ever dreamed of!! The house was immaculate and provided any and all amenities one could think of. From the games, to the books, to the movies, to the beach chairs, this house had it ALL! Each bedroom was decorated in detail with a theme and the kids loved the room with the bunk beds. The decks were unbelievably stocked with a variety of seating options (hammocks, swings, rockers). Sitting outside and looking at the water view was so peaceful and the sunsets were beautiful. Right out the back door is a pier that the kids caught crabs from and the house provides a paddleboat to sail around the sound! We will most definitely be returning and I would highly recommend My Soundview to any family looking for a place to make wonderful memories.

Our My Soundview Visit

My family and I had a wonderful visit at My Soundview. The house was well equipped with a huge alphabetized dvd collection and tv's in many rooms. The kitchen was well-equipped and we cooked and baked while we were there. The view from the decks was incredible and we loved watching the sunset. The pool and hot tub at the house were awesome; clean and refreshing. The pool and exercise facilities at the club house were inviting and we tried everything out there. There were ample chairs for the beach and the beach was beautiful. There were grocery stores within a reasonable distance by car and you could walk to Corolla Center for closer shopping. We will definitely return to this rental.

Great location & Great Sunsets

Our family had a great stay at your home. With the trolley stop so close, trips to the beach were easy. The views of the sunsets over the sound are spectacular. The kids loved the pool when we were not at the beach. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the themed rooms are a great touch. Looking forward to a return trip.

We had a really great stay at your lovely home. Thank you. The furnishings were extremely comfortable. The living room furniture was perfect for our family. My child enjoyed the "fishy" room very much. The themed rooms made us feel like we were on vacation. They were very well done. We only had three people staying in the house, but understand how much larger families would be comfortable in it too. We enjoyed many sunsets on the deck. The view from the deck was spectacular. The location of the house is great. We walked the soundfront trail each morning and used the soundside pool. The Corolla Light community provided a lot of activities for our child, which she enjoyed very much. We brought a child's bike but did use two adult bikes which worked great. It was very nice to have them there for our use. Overall, we had a really great stay and definitely plan to go back to Corolla Light (possibly in June 2015). We have been to Corolla three times but this was our first time to the soundside. We decided that we like the soundfront better than oceanfront or oceanside.

Great Family Vacation

We had a great family vacation in this sound front home. The views were amazing and we spent every morning and every evening on the upper deck enjoying the views and beautiful sunsets. The pool and hot tub were fabulous and got plenty of use. We only had one issue with the place and that was a broken table by the pool when we arrived, but one call to the management company and it was taken care of immediately. The owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. The location and resort amenities are an added benefit that was much appreciated by our whole family, we had a superb family vacation at this home.

Amazing

What an incredible week we had with family from CT & NC. The layout was perfect for our two families with children ages 3 to 10. The kitchen was fully stocked and although it was summer we were thrilled to have a crock pot to prepare dinner in advance! The huge griddle also helped us quickly prepare great breakfasts before heading out to enjoy the area. The children loved to play on the deck swinging in the hammock and swings; the bikes were used daily- we loved the walking trail behind the house and that the street was so quiet for them to ride. We fished out back daily with traps to catch crabs and also loved the proximity to the dock to see how the real fishermen did it! The neighborhood soundside pool was close enough for the little ones to walk to. The trolley picked us up daily at our driveway and we all loved the beach and the activities provided by the resort. Our family loved the sunsets and spent each night relaxing outside on the deck.

Awesome Soundview

2 week's on the Sound, wow. 10 years of renting houses in Corolla this is the best! The view, the house layout, so well equipped. Porches, hammocks sun and shade. Corolla Light and its pools and gyms is a bonus. This house is a super find. The owners care and called to make sure everything was ok. Very clean and the pre rental pix are spot on. Oh and they have more umbrella's, beach chairs, bikes, dvd's,books, games just terrific. The decor is extremely well done and creative! You will love My Soundview

Great Time with Old Friends

We had an absolutely tremendous time. The house had everything we needed and then some. The balcony and views were just as great as I remembered and tended to be where we would spend a good portion of our days and nights. We were able to wait out a couple rainy spells in the hot tub and had an amazing time poolside on the nice, hot days. Having the beach gear and bikes already there were a big help too when we wanted to get out of the house to the beach or a quick ride to the lighthouse. However, outside that, we honestly had trouble finding reasons to leave this amazing house, other than for food. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance we could ever need which made dinners exciting and inventive and the grilling area was a constant destination for pre-dinner drinks while preparing food and taking in the setting sun. We had a great time just enjoying your awesome place. I will always keep this house on my list for future vacations.
