Beautiful Views
The chalet is perfect. The views off the deck with a coffee in the morning I highly recommend! Would stay again! Great communication & direction from owner!

Rustic but beautiful
This is more rustic than some would like but it is just as advertised. Beautiful views and easy to get to. Location is great if you want to do the 4x4 trails between Ouray and Silverton. Don't book unless you like to rough it a bit - toilet is like a porta-potty and you will have to go outside to access.

The view of dreams
A fantastic view with a semi rustic feel. The drive up valley was worth the Slow winding road.

Beautiful stay.
The initial VRBO listing does not clarify price additions per party member after a certain group size. This initially caught us off guard when we notified them of a larger party size. However, the management team was very understanding and adjusted our payment when a few of our members had to drop out for a family emergency. The property itself is beautiful. You have wonderful views of the mountains and it’s not far tucked off of the main road. So easy to find and access yet we didn’t really hear much traffic or see the road. It has a rustic cabin feel, but with more amenities than other ski huts I’ve stayed in. For a ski hut, it was quite clean. It is up to each reservation group to keep the property clean for the next group arriving. My whole group was super pleased with the stay and hopes to come back another time!

Good get away; property is as advertised
The cabin is as advertised. It is remote and rustic with accessibility to Ouray and Silverton. It sits at nearly 11K feet elevation with spectacular views. The cabin has all the essentials, but depends on solar power for electricity. So you have to have the mindset to be mindful of your power usage, which is perfect for getting away from electronics and spending quality time with friends and family. The beds are comfortable. The outhouse is not a big inconvenience, but make sure your invited guests know that the cabin does not have an inside toilet. Hot water is available for showers. Make sure you bring your own linens and towels. Hot coffee in the morning and star gazing with a hot beverage on the large deck were the best part of our stay.

We built, have been renting the Addie S on Red Mountain Pass since 2000. There are other things going on in our lives as well. If you need to reach us please leave a voice mail, and or a text so we can get back to you when we can.

What makes this property unique

You will like staying here if you like being off on your own, able to cook your own meals, and close to some really great attractions. The cabin is quiet, without distractions, relaxing, located in a million dollar setting all by yourself. It is "off the grid" and not always quite like home. A great place to unplug from technology and to hang out and spend some really fun times with your family or friends.
