Early December birthday get away - had the place all to ourselves and it was a remarkable weekend. Saw lots of wild life, nice walk around the creek area.
We had a great time at the Cabin-ette this weekend! It was very clean, organized, and super cute. I also love how close it was to the creek access! Would definitely recommend
Had an absolute Blast it was so relaxing and the stars at night were amazing!!! Loved it so much we booked a second trip and just completed it in June! We stayed at the cottage the second time!! We will keep coming back every yr from now on ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This place was HEAVEN on Earth!!! I'm am still in shock how beautiful this location was. I saw deer, turkey, a fox, rabbits, an eagle plus my favorite birds, crows! The flowers in the field had so many butterflies! I spent time in the creek watching the fish and taking in the sun.The room was perfect for my solo trip. I had everything I needed. The bed was so comfy. My phone never connected to the WiFi but I think it was meant to be that way. I was able to stay off my phone and just relax. I will be coming back to this place for sure!!!

The little cabin is great for one or two people. Property is well kept and in good repair. Creek nearby was cool and refreshing. The only thing I would caution future visitors on is the road coming in. It's paved part of the way, then turns to gravel and then just dirt and rocks. If you are careful and don't try to go too fast, any car will make it. We went in a Kia Rio, didn't have any problems. Would recommend that if you are not familiar with dirt roads, a truck or SUV would be better. We would definitely go again!
Emily did an amazing job communicating and answering any questions I had! The Cabinette was as described and very tiny and very tidy! She has an awesome welcome bag for the eclipse. The bathroom was clean and had great towels and products. There is one sink - the kitchen sink. She has made great use of the space available. Great stocked kitchen and had ketchup, mustard, S/P and wonderful dishes. Great space for coffee on the porch or a short walk to the meadow for coffee by the river. Plenty of firewood and do bring your own kindling for a fire in the fire pit.
The entrance is very steep and rocky, my Chrysler did just fine. Pillows were on the thinner side, but I always travel with my own. Linens were great and bed was super comfy. Will definitely stay here again when in the area! Thank you, Emily!!
What is a cabinette you might ask? Well it’s a small one room cabin with everything you need! So cozy and cute and just a short walk to a clear beautiful stream. The owner made our stay memorable by going out of her way to get us tickets to a sold out event. It was really over and above and so much appreciated! Love this place and hope to come back soon.
My stay at the Cabinette was amazingly serene, efficient and refreshed my mind/body/soul. Emily did an amazing job of communicating with me prior to arrival and during my stay to make sure I had everything I needed. Cooking dinner over the fire pit and watching the deer cavort in the meadow was a little bit of heaven on earth. The cabin had every comfort I could have asked for and the bed was HEAVEN!! I spent 3 days enjoying the peace and quiet and exploring the wonderful town of Mountain View. The cabin even came with an ample supply of cut firewood and a huge, propane grill if I wanted to use it. I could sit on that front porch FOREVER, just taking in the stream, meadow, mountains and the silence. I will be BACK!!
The cabinette was perfect. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. Check in and check out were very easy. The location is great. We saw deer in the evening and early morning and a bald Eagle in the early morning as well. Access to Sylamore Creek was easy. We would definitely stay again!
My husband and I stayed at the cabinette and it was wonderful. Very clean, cozy, and just enough space for the two of us. We enjoyed strolling down to the creek and cooking dinner on the gas grill. We hiked some of the many woodland trails which are just a short drive away. It was the perfect getaway to unwind and recharge.
Get away from the hurry of life and enjoy a time of rest. Our cell phones didn’t have a signal (AT&T) and the internet was spotty, so we soaked up the peacefulness of the surroundings.
Certainly would stay again if we are in the area.
Our stay here was nothing short of spectacular! A bit scary the first night, there by ourselves and little to no outside lighting. Overall though, we enjoyed it and so did both of our dogs! Nice little getaway from reality and the chaos of every day life! Definitely recommend and would definitely come back!
