About this property
THE COACH HOUSE, pet friendly in Chirnside
The Coach House in Chirnside, Berwickshire sleeps two guests in one bedroom. Please note: Check-ins and check-outs are not available on Sundays.
The Coach House was originally built as a stable block. Constructed from stone, it has been converted to offer accommodation for 2 people; a haven for couples looking to spend some time together. The cottage has been decorated in a warm and inviting style and has its own front patio on which to enjoy a glass of wine in the summer months. One well behaved dog welcome but cats are not accepted. Although there is parking available, the local shop and pub are a mere 2 minutes away on foot. In addition, oil-fired central heating throughout the cottage means that you can enjoy all that the region has to offer at any time of year. Please note: Check-ins and check-outs are not available on Sundays.
Amenities: Eco-friendly wood pellet central heating. Electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, TV, DVD, CD/radio, broadband WiFi access available. Fuel & power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Roadside parking. Small front patio area with furniture & BBQ. Sorry, no smoking. One well-behaved dog welcome, cats are not accepted. Shop & pub 2 mins walk. Note: Guests are requested to take their dogs out of the property grounds for toilet duties and to be kept on a lead and supervised in the courtyard area as the location is not secure. Note: EV Charging is not offered at the property. Note: Open tread staircase to the bedroom in the attic eaves is narrow and twisting and has a sloping ceiling, therefore may not be suitable for the less mobile. Note: The large courtyard and garden you see on arrival belongs to the adjacent property. Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping Bond of £100. Note: The heating is remotely controlled via smart heating valves, owners kindly request guests do not attempt to adjust these or tamper with them. Should guests need any adjustments, please contact the owner who will be
happy to help. Please note: Check-ins and check-outs are not available on Sundays.
Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
Town: Chirnside takes its name from the ancient Cairn that stood on a hill to the east of the village. It is perched on the ridge between the historic, walled town of Berwick-on-Tweed and Duns, overlooking the Tweed Valley and the distant Cheviots. The village itself is incredibly picturesque and prides itself on its many beautiful gardens. 8 miles away, you'll find the glorious, sandy beaches of Coldingham and Eyemouth, with its working harbour. Nearby attractions also include Maderston, Mellerstain, Paxton House and Ayton Castle. The grounds of the Hirsel ad Duns Castle Estate are also open to the public, as is St Abbs Head; a nature reserve run by the National Trust. The River Tweed provides fantastic opportunities for fishermen, walkers and bird-watchers and there is much evidence of the region's historic and turbulent past to be found in the spectacular countryside.
