About this property

The Festival - MONTBELLET

A film enthusiast and wine connoisseur (tastings are available in the cellar next to the gîte), Bruno welcomes you to an authentic 17th-century Burgundian residence steeped in history (a former farmhouse and winemaker's house), meticulously restored with style and taste, nestled in the heart of a picturesque little rural hamlet, a stone's throw from the vineyards (Viré-Clessé appellation) and 8 km from Chardonnay, the historical birthplace of the legendary, world-renowned grape variety of the same name. A superb landscaped setting (a protected area designated as a ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna), nestled at the foot of the Burgy mountain (a preserved massif offering exceptional panoramic views all the way to Mont Blanc on a clear day!), in the heart of the Mâconnais hills and its bucolic rolling vineyard countryside, alternating between vineyard slopes, meadows, and wild forests. A very comfortable and spacious gîte. A spacious living area boasts a beautiful cathedral ceiling. Its elegant country charm, with contemporary touches, blends tradition and modernity in the spirit of a country loft, enhanced by the building's original character (preserved Burgundy stone walls, stone and wood lintels, exposed beams, terracotta tiles, an old bread oven, a stone sink and warming rack, a French-style ceiling, etc.) and the carefully curated décor reflecting the owner's love of film. It exudes charm and character, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. A large, sunny gravel terrace (flowering and planted) adjoins a pleasant little garden. Composition: Gîte in a semi-detached village house comprising the owner's accommodation and a year-round rental unit (completely independent and private). Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Heat pump heating and wood-burning stove. Living room/kitchen/lounge (with a 180x140cm sofa bed), 2 bedrooms (one with a 160x200cm double bed and a 180x140cm sofa bed / the other with a 140x190cm double bed), shower room, separate WC. Private terrace, small garden, and parking. Shops 7 km. Supermarket 9 km. Stay "on the land" of the mythical "Chardonnay" grape variety! Address awarded the "Vineyards & Discoveries" and "Cyclist Welcome" labels! Authentic 17th-century Burgundian residence full of character, steeped in history, carefully restored with style and taste, nestled in peace and quiet in the heart of a picturesque little rural residential hamlet, 7 km from the charming wine-growing village of Lugny ("the small capital of the Haut-Mâconnais" with many shops, a renowned "Tree Climbing" site and the first winery producing Burgundy Wines), 7 km from the market town of Pont de Vaux (supermarket & river marina linked to the Saône) & 13 km from Tournus (world-renowned abbey site / A6 motorway & all amenities on site). In the heart of the Mâconnais countryside (on a protected area designated as a ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems), a magnificent hilly wine-growing setting (first vineyards only 3 km away) mixing agriculture & nature, nestled at the foot of the wooded foothills of the nearby Massif Sud Bourgogne (a vast wild area largely protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone", to be explored on foot or by mountain bike) in the hollow of the Val de Saône (river banks very close). Ideally located on the Romanesque churches circuit, very close to the "Burgundy Wine Route" (which extends into the "Great Wines Route") and numerous marked "green walks" (a vast network winding between vineyards and open countryside, to be discovered in the area), 3 km from the Voie Bleue (Blue Way) along the banks of the Saône River, adjacent to the Voie Verte (Green Way) of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" (Great Loop of Southern Burgundy), 3 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike circuit, certified "FFC Mountain Bike" (Grand Tour of the Southern Burgundy Massif, connected to a vast network of similar mountain bike trails crisscrossing the massif), 8 km from the "Cycloroute71" (Tour of the Saône-et-Loire by bike), 12 km from the GR76, connected to the famous GR "Chemin de Cluny" (ViaCluny) and the legendary "Chemin des Moines" (Monks' Way, which once connected the abbeys). of Cîteaux and Cluny) & 14 km from the renowned Mont Saint-Romain mountain bike downhill track. Prime location in the heart of the Mâconnais & its famous vineyards, at the crossroads of the Ain, the Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), the Chalonnais & the Bresse Bourguignonne, not far from the vineyards of the Côtes Chalonnaises and Beaujolais, as well as the world-renowned Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Ideal for exploring the region: 11 km from La Salle golf course, 16 km from the medieval town of Brancion, 18 km from Cuisery, one of the very exclusive 8 "Book Villages" in France, 19 km from the rare Truchère Nature Reserve (a remarkable protected ecosystem), 20 km from Mâcon (Mâcon-Loché train station 27 km away), 21 km from the medieval village of Romenay, 27 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 29 km from the magnificent landscape of the Roches de Solutré and Vergisson, a designated "Grand Site de France", 31 km from the medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, a designated "Town of Character of Burgundy-Franche-Comté", 36 km from Vonnas (the gastronomic and gourmet village of Georges Blanc), 39 km from Louhans, 40 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (designated a "City of Art and History") & 52 km from Bourg-en-Bresse. An ultra-comfortable "bubble" of charm and serenity imbued with the host's "love of cinema"!
