Unique Tiny House
I stayed at the Tiny House in Travis Heights neighborhood in Austin. The neighborhood is beautiful with treelined streets and gorgeous homes. The house is located close to public transportation, which made it easy for me to get around. Although I missed the Travis Heights Art Trail, which was being held the weekend I was there, I did get to see some of the displays on my walk to the bus stop.
The Tiny House itself is beautifully done with great woodwork. However, I wish there had been curtains on the small window in the door and to the left of the door. There was some stairway lighting that peaked into the house all night. Checking in with a keypad was easy. I never had any issues. I felt safe in the home and area.
The mattress was two sheets of foam, rather than a traditional mattress, and as someone with back issues, it wasn't comfortable for me. The bathroom was very small and the shower didn’t give you much room to maneuver around.
On the other hand, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you might need. Charlotte gave me lots of information before my trip, which was helpful (including information about the Arts Trail). I had one issue with a blind in the house and she was responsive to my text/email.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Tiny House in Travis Heights, Austin, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience in a beautiful neighborhood.
